Hi guys,After reading a post here about Realair Decathlon and as I am a big fan right now flying the Airheads Decathlon, I would like to know if I am really getting out the most realism with it or should I move on to RealAir Decathlon to get the most realism out? Which one is more realistic?

Hi all,does anybody know how Toni Agramont can be reached via e-mail?I tried the address at ya.com that is mentioned in his readme files, but the mail bounces back.The reason for my query is that I wanted to ask him whether he would think about updating his Cuba scenery to FS2004 or produce a few exclude files that suppress the otherwise conflicting default scenery.Thanks in advance.

I have an odd problem that has developed with FS9 in that whilstflying, if I go to the airport panel or the weather panel etc thesimulator immediately crashes. This seems to apply to any of thesub menu`s. Can anyone throw any light or how I can resolve this.thanksJohn

Since a few weeks I changed from old-fashion modem communication to ADSL and built a network with the three PC's and a laptop that are in my home. Furthermore my fastest PC (CPU 3.0, RAM 1024 MB, GF 5900) can run two monitors with his dual head video card. With this last feature I already have some months of experience, but now I am thinking about expanding the flightsim experience. So obviously WideFS comes to mind and several other modules and add-ons. My problem is though that I am not sure what WideFS et al can do exactly. What would you do with my hardware setup? I would appreciate every suggestion.Herrie

iFDG just released basemodel and paintkit of the A319 in the Avsim download library...does that mean the complete aircraft are soon to be released?

I have finally mastered placing my 737's in auto pilot. However, when I disengauge, my throttle no longer works. I use a CH Products Flight Sim Yoke and Rudder Pedals. I flew the FS2004 default 737 on an identical flight and had no problem with the throttle. Can someone please help with this problem? i hope I posted on the right page.many thanksCharles Tannachion

This may turn out a bit long - hope you can bear with me. It's a prob that's driving me nuts. When FS9 first appeared, I, like other multi monitor users, had a problem running in windowed mode, whereby I got a regular brief stutter approximately every 13 seconds on sound and graphics. When I went to full screen mode, this prob disappeared. However, there was a reduction in fps as well as other difficulties in setting up panels on other monitors. Despite this, I've stuck with full screen and with one or two slider compromises it has all worked reasonably well. Then a couple of weeks ago, during a nasty storm, my house was hit by lightning - the resulting surge fried …

Ok - so I bought 2004, installed it, and am experiencing a few major bugs.First, if I try change the time to Day it crashes after loading for a few seconds. I tried disabling "render to texture" to no avail.Second, my panels are simply frozen - they update when I change views, but are never in motion.I'm sorry if these issues have been brought up lots, or beaten to death; I did searches (and will continue to) and found related items but nothing exactly like what's going on with my system, which is:Win 98SE, PIII 1.2, Diamond Viper 770 Ultra 32, 384 ram...$10 is a good price.. if I can get it to work!Thanks,Andrew

Can't seem to use the "settings" menu to tone down the ridiculous effect of the rudder (and presumeably all planes). Tries to cut sensitivity to zero but still the rudder is "wild" and way to sensitive to be realistic.Using a TM Cougar with TM Elite Rudder Pedals...Please help...

Hi,I have a problem with menus in FS9 cycling on and off while loading the selected menu item. Hard to explain clearly, but an example will help:When I Create a New Flight, after I go to the Airport menu and select the departure airport(and click okay), the whole menu flashes 3 or 4 times before returning to the Create a New Flight menu screen.The above "flashing while loading" behaviour also occurs when FS9 is first loading(is that why the title screen is called a "flash" screen? :-)). It happens with menus on the menu bar in windowed mode, as well, but here the screen goes black for a moment while the menu option is accessed.The above does not have any effect on flying …

WOW, this weekend has had a real down pour of top notch freeware.Dreamwings ERJ series, iFDG's A319, the Let410, not to mention the great Howard 500 that milton released a short while back.I wholeheartedly give my thanks to the creators of these, and all of the other great freeware, THANK YOU ALLCheersDan, (whose modem is now on fire :-lol)

hi,i remembered a great looking plane i had in fs2002, it was the i3d b1b lancer. I tryed to move it over but the flight dynimics are unusable cause as soon as you take off the thig starts spinning like a chopper with no tail rotor! Also i cant get the VC textures to show up.Has anyone had any success with transferring this aircraft over to fs9? Any help would be great cause i cant get in contact with the developers due to thier site being down.Thanks,Callum.

Hi all,I still have FS98 - just wiped the dust off after buying a new joystick since MS stopped supporting their own products when they released Windows 2000!Anyway, is their any point in continuing with it if I want to fly with virtual airlines? I remember seeing information about a Orcas Island scenery done by the same guy who did Emma Field and the GeoRender series but published through a different vender some time back.I have forgotten who the publisher was. Can anyone direct me to this scenery?Also, if someone has it I would like to hear (read) their impressions. If I remember right the screenshots look really good... but then his stuff always does. I need help...I have installed Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 (FS9) on my present computer several times in the past (not that long time ago anyway) with success. But since a week or two ago, it became impossible. Everytime one or another MSGAME cabinet file will fail to extract. Sometimes No. 1, sometimes No. 5, sometimes No. 8 and the installation will quit, leaving no functioning Flight Simulator.I have been trying so many things. Does anyone here use this utility? If so, how does it compare to FS Navigator? Sadly, simmamrket refuses to replace my FS Navigator key and I now must consider other alternatives. It IS slightly cheaper.

I recently reloaded FS9 back on, but now when I save a situation at the end of the flight (Save Flight menu) and tick the "Save as Default" box, it doesn't make the change in the fs9.cfg "Situation" line. When I restart FS to the "Create a Flight" window, it comes up to an earlier saved flight (which would be the automatic default flight from installation, if I hadn't changed it in other ways - see below). Now, if I go into the "Select Flight" menu (rather than the "Create a Flight" menu), highlight the flight I wanted and THEN select "Save as Default", the new flight will get written to the fs9.cfg "Situation" line. does anyone know if there's a trim tab indicator in the default 747? there's one in all the other aircraft but can't find it in the 747. it would REALLY be helpful for takeoffs. also it mentions a 10 degree pitch up attitude for takeoffs. in the lesson for the 737 it says pitch up to 20 degrees which works out just fine for speed control. most parameters in the 737, 747 and 777 for takeoffs are close to the same except the takeoff speed for the 737 is lower. i was wondering if a 20 degree pitch up in the 747 instead of a 10 degree would be proper? i'm using full fuel maxed with 5 degrees of flaps. or maybe using 10 to 20 degrees of flaps instead of 5. what i'm getting at …
