I have uploaded the FS2002 Howard 500 Bare Metal textures and Cargo version tonight to Simviation and Avsim. This adds a bare metal passenger version texture and the Cargo model and textures in bare metal. Filename is: hw5c2.zip You FS2002 guys thought I left you behind on this one, didn't you? ;-)

Hi guys and girls,I just recieved my new computer and the first thing i did was to install fs9 but at about 40% during the intstalltion, it stops because it cant write USENGLISHBIG.GVP. Setup quits. USENGLISHBIG.GVP i guess is located in the sound folder and contains the voices for ATC. Thanks

I liked the clear and easy to read user interface in FS2002. The UI in FS2004 may be esthetically pleasing and artistic but it does nothing to make it readable.I admit I am an older person and my eyesight is not the best. But us older people like to use the Flight Simulator also. Please, Microsfot, give us back a nice readable interface again.Bill

Im sure you guys remember that scary incident back in 2001 when an Air Transat A330 ran out of fuel over the Atlantic and the flight crew did a *terrific* job of gliding the thing to a safe landing in the Azores.I was just wondering if anyone on here who has the A330 on their FS2004 sim has ever recreated that incident. After having used a troublesome Win ME for almost 3 years, I now have got Win XP Home installed. A big difference! Hello PC fliers...Is it possible in FS2000 to make the autopilot follow the green GPS course-line? Im sure the answer is staring me in the face but I havent figured it out hee hee.Im talking about the green line thats shown on the GPS screen from departure to destination when you select a "GPS-direct" route in the flight planner.To stay on the GPS course I slap on the autopilot and use the HDG settings to keep to the GPS-routeing but Im hoping I can automate that...?Thanx :)

Folks,There are several entries in the FS9.cfg file that puzzle me and extensive search throughout this forum brings mixed and sometimes contradictory suggestions.First of all there is a TEXTURE_BANDWIDTH_MULT= line.I understand that the trade-off with this setting is, that setting it to too high of a value gives stutters, on the opposite side setting it too low gives large square blocks of ground scenery being loaded. I have it set at 100 and ironically see both - stutters and large blocks of scenery. I am collecting info etc relating to Croydon Airport which used to be close to London in the UK. The airport was the starting point of several record breaking and historic flights as well as being the home to Imperial Aiways which later became part of British Airways. I would like to ask you if anyone has anything they think may be of use to me. That could be Pics, Maps or maybe you have a memory of it before it was closed. Could an owner of each please tell me if there are seasonal constraints on when the textures from each megascenery volume can be seen? I recall a patch for volume 1 allowing it to be visible during any season, but I think volume 2 (NY) is limited to summer or winter, and I've no idea regarding volume 3.Thanks for the info!sg

What are the dynamics of a real world approach to landing on a Carrier? By this I mean for the normal complemnt of Jets (i.e. F14's, 15's, 16's and 18's) at what altitude, speed and distance is the final approach set up? Is the primary approach ILS or visual? hi folks, i need help. Can anyone please explain: 1) how must set approach view correctly? I only can watch at my landings reply from tail perspective; i'd like to see my plane from the "tower" (please try to be specific with numbers to input into setting tab) 2) just in case i'd temporarily restore default MS tower view how do i disable approach view? if i uncheck "approach view" it still remains and cannot get default tower view Thanks in advance for helping Luigi ;-)

Hello All,I am trying to find the default "sights" in the FS world....For example there are the Pyramids in Giza, the Taj Mahal in Agra... these exist in the MS scenery... does anyone know of others?I am not talking about the major cities...we all know Paris and London, Rome and New York etc have many sights.... but others.... Well, I just cant get it right, The Cockpit view of most panel is so big, well, not big as in the panel is big, but the View outside is too big... Well, when Im downloading and viewing cockpit view from actual, the Road is smaller, then the cockpit view is small, Is there anyway to fix this in flight sim 2004... even though I zoom out, its still the same,

Hi folks,Been lurking around for some time now but I really need some help on a couple of issues.I've been having CTD's for a while upon arriving to several airports and being passed over by tower to ground. Sometimes the CTD occurs as soon as I am instructed to contact ground. Others it happens when I tune ground frequency. Has anybody else had this and if so, is there a fix? This has happened with various non default aircraft.Months ago I installed a light update available in the library which reduces the brightness of the beam ahead of the aircraft.
