Does anyone have any good sugestions as how to plan your fuel usage for a 747 flight. Say for example, London - Chicago or London Newyork?I was under the impression that Chicago was near the 74s limit, but I was wrong, according to the POSKY 2004.8.5 FDE with a full fuel load of 360K it has enough fuel to fly there and back!

I know that on FS2002 that you could open the cargo door on the planes, but I was wondering if you could on FS2004. If so, what is the assignment for that action? Thanks again.

Something that has always intrigued me.In real life, when a prop-driven aircraft is put into a dive, the engine note starts to rise as the revs increase. It is a very distinctive sound but I don't think I have ever noticed this in FS. If this is emulated it is not very obvious or is possibly limited by the way sound files are processed in the simulator.

Just noticed that this package was available for the CRJ's. Anybody have it, and is so what is your evaluation? The screenshots look pretty good and there is a fine complement of liveries. By today's standards the price seems reasonable.Did this package just come out or have I just overlooked it?Thanks:RTH

I saw someone write a nice expression of having a 'senior' moment.I am having thousands!!I, for the first time since I bought it at launch, have had to re-install Fs9.Ok it is re-installed and going great. I have my fav 737 installed and most of what I had is working.However, I cannot find or remember a clock change file that was much better than the default I am using. It allowed you to pre-set flight times etc.Can anyone recall this clock file?Also I am stuck with the wrong Garmin. OK...odd title I know, sorry, but I have noticed a couple of oddities whereby my AI aircraft will flip rapidly from horizontal to vertical when using a couple of planes; Charles Dayhuff's very nice L1011 Tristar, and also the KC-135 from the Abacus Military aircraft collection/FS Repaint package.When taxiing around any airport using either of these two planes, the AI will suddenly go nose-up and be buried half way up their fusalage. I've read some good things about the Ariane classics exterior model. I was just wondering what people think about it and which is their most detailed model of the 737-300/-400? I was wondering if there is any way to NOT allow the weather theme that is selected to change.What I mean is, I can select a weather theme, say "Gray and Rainy" and fly in any direction from the departure airport for around 3 to 5 minutes and all of a sudden, the sky begins to clear and the weather seems to change significantly, even though I have the "Dynamic Weather" option set to NONE/OFF.Is this normal for the weather themes? I thought they covered larger areas than 5 to 10 miles around the airport of departure?The Learning section seemed to indicate that the weather themes could cover areas that are very large (100's of square miles).Any information on this is apprec…

When i set my weather to low visibility below say 100000 ft and i fly at 300000 feet and above, there seems to be an area of about 5 square miles of poor visibility like a giant pixel when i fly in spot view. It seems to follow with the aircraft and looks very unrealistic. i have most options set to max including visible distance. Can anyone shed some light on my problem. ThanksKev Farrow.

Hi Fellows,This is an on going issue for me and I will appreciate it if any of you can help me. I have Thrustmaster's Elite rudder which will not deflect to the right with throttle at idle. It shows no visual movement either when the throttle is at iddle position. The funny this is that, for some reason the throttle has some kind of influence over the rudder as the RPM will increase if I push right at taxi speed. By the way the rudder will start to move half way to the right when throttle is increase for taxi speed. I have used all kinds of calibration techniques and software that I have with no avail including a registered "FSUIP". So any help will be accepted. Thnx

hi,has anyone got the USVIPER.ZIP by Kirk Ollsen,I am having a small problem with the afterburner, it's lit up all the time, if I turn all the lights off (L) then it's gone, but turning them back on again and it's lit again, I even tried pressing shift l,control l, and O, just to have the necessary lights on etc, but then I don't get the afterburner at all, even when in re-heat mode, IE, full throttle,any help would be much appreciatedthanksSteve,

In FS2004 is there any way to create logs of sim data?I know to take it to the extreme it would be nice that every flight could have a check ride like report at the end, tell you things like, you entered X airspace without permission, you were below MSA and not cleared by TWR or approach to be there, etc. etc.However, it shouldn't be that hard to log things like, minimum and maxmum airspeed when airborne, actual take off and landing speed, landing G force. Max and min G for the flght. Max and min deck angle and bank and so on. Maybe logging of any master cautions and warnings.Does anything like this exist?TIAPaul8nm SEE EGAC

Everytime I install flight sim 2004 freshly with no add-ons put into it, the game runs smoothly. Everytime I add planes with their corresponding panels, the game will chop during pushback, taxi, and takeoff. in the sky or at a dead stop on the ground the game will still run normally. has anyone else had this problem and if so, how did you fix it? i formatted my computer thinking that would fix the problem, but it didn't. someone please help..

Hello Gang!WHile trying to do a short hop from EHAM to Maastricht, I was cleared on to runway 18L for takeoff at EHAM. I went like a chicken with no head trying to find the runway until I figured out that the taxiway signs for that runway were not there. Even when I reached the runway threshold, I could not see a runway. After a while of tinkering, I finally decided to takeoff, and long and behold, as I was lifting off the ground, I came through the runway surface and I could see the runway from the air; the minute I attempted to land on 18L, I would sink below the runway and the runway surface would dissapear above me.Why would this happen? Sorry for being such a noob - I can't get the EFIS to turn on in Aeroworx's new B200. What am I doing wrong? When I load into the plane for my flight, both screens are dark, and they're the only ones that I can't get to come on (after initializing everything else)Thanks in advance.
