Do you know if it is possible PSS to use the panel for l

Has anyone out there seen any reference to or downloads of an Aircraft called the Shorts Belfast. I am sure it exists but I am finding it nigh on impossible to find it. Any help appreciated.

I just upgraded my computer from a AMD 2400 to a P4 3.2 and when they upgraded they reinstalled XP Home.My problem now is when ever I get into FS9 and get into the aircraft the whole computer locks up and I have to turn off the switch on the back and than restart.I don't have this problem with any other programs so far as I just got it back yesterday.Does anyone have any ideas on what may be going on? In assigning the percentage to a specific AI plane, does a smaller or larger percentage mean it will show up more. When the traffic slider is set at 100%, does that mean all planes have a equal chance of showing up?

Hi, what do you think are the best flight dymanics for a 777 in FS9? Meljet has done an outstanding product from a visual point, but are the dynamcs good as well in FS9?I'm very interested in your opinion.Mario

I am running Win2K and FS9. Generally everything is OK but occasionally I get a major crash with a windows message saying to the effect "there is a problem and the application needs to shut down. You will have to restart the application. An error log is being created."My question is where is the error log created? It would be helpful to know what the problem is. A while back I recall instructions for deleting some line out of the FS9 CFG so that it would rebuild your flights folder (replacing files that might have been deleted causing errors in loading a flight on startup.) Does anyone remember what must be removed to get FS9 to do this?I also recall being able to change the red box text you get when the brakes and parking brake are on. Am I correct in thinking that that i also somewhere inside of the FS9.cfg?Thanks

Hi All,I'm just getting back into flightsimming after being away from it for about a year. I'm using FS2002 mainly because I fly the PIC767 alot. I also enjoy GA aircraft (props) and fly the Cessna 421C. I'm thinking of adding another payware aircraft to the hanger and would appreciate some suggestions.....preferably for short and mid-range flights like a 737, CRJ, etc. My plans are not to upgrade to FS9 until PIC is upgraded and fully compatible.Thanks in advance,Lawrie

Hi,Is anyone using Simflyers EDDF for FS2004 ? I wonder whether it is basically an FS2002 version that still works under FS2004 or whether it has been adjusted for FS2004 when you intall it into FS2004 ? Are there any snags with that product ?Originally I was looking for German Airports 2 but its release seems to be slipping all the time (GAP3 has slipped twice already). Perhaps these come out when FS2006 is already on the horizon. So I am now considering Simflyers EDDF.Cheers,Siggy

My FS is configured with "Previous Flight" as the default flight, so that it always starts in the situation where I left it before.Everything worked fine, and suddenly FS does not start any more. The progress bar shows "Loading Terrain" and stops at 13%. I thought there was a problem with an add-on scenery I had used last time, so I restarted and selected the "Meigs Field" default flight. FS started, and then I loaded my "Previous flight", and everything went fine.It means my situation saved in "Previous flight" is not buggy, but FS does not want to start with it. I always have to start a default flight, and switch to my "Previous flight" after.Strange, isn't it?I tried m…

Hey Folks,I don't post here that often but just thought i would share my joy after purchasing a Geforce FX5500. Before this i was running FS9 on my onboard graphics chipset and was lucky to get frames in the mid teens with eveything set to the minimums. After much tinkering with my new card and over coming some minor problems I have hit the sweet spot for the first time ever in my flight simming history. Although I only have 256megs of RAM, the Geforce FX5500 128Meg has boosted my frames to an average of 35 with most of the sliders to the left!!! I can now really appreciate how good looking this sim is...and those clouds...wow!!!I'll certainly be posting screenies more of…

This question pertains to the ever-annoying pitch black shadows. For some reason, I remember them being somewhat transparent, but now they cover up markings on the ground and it's completely annoying.Any help or ideas are appreciated!PS - It's not due to my specs because the shadows were working normally a little while ago...

Hi all, I have a Radeon 9600 256meg video card. I have a odd problem. When I go into planes with no VC but 2D bitmaps for the views, there is a gap all the way around the outside of the screen where I can see outside the plane. I have never seen this before. It is almost like the panel views are too small for the screen size. Here's the thing, when I just have the ATI driver installed without the ATI control panel this problem goes away. As soon as I install the control panel the gap returns. I have tried mutiple versions of the driver & control panel with the same result. Without the control panel I obviously can't set any of the video cards advance settin…

Please tell me....What are the best, and most realistic CLOUDS for Fs9 at this point in time? I'm still using the Default clouds, and I use "Blue Sphere". I have a high end system, so I'm not interested in comprimising the textures or the size of the clouds. I remember a package in 2002 that really improved the defaults. What was it now...I think FSClouds or something like that. I really love flying through realistic clouds. What are all of you using out there?

Anyone,My sim has been working fine. Now all of a sudden my rudder and elevator are nervous and jumpy, which makes my flying inop. I'm using CH Pro pedals USB and Flight Sim Yoke USB. They will calibrate under Windows XP and work and calibrate fine - only in FS9 do they go wild. I'm also using the latest version of FSUIPC and this is where I can see them act up - numbers jump all over. I've allowed FUIPC to create a new "ini" file by removing it but the problem still exist. I can't imagine what I did or what something did that created this problem. Any ideas?W Brown

Hi simmers,A simply question: does Active Radar in ActiveSky 2004 show in fly-moisture without default FS2004 clouds ?Last day i have downloaded a wonderful clouds package for FS2004 (is extremely frame rate-friend) but situation display of active radar doesn't show moisture on black panel.ok, i know that active radar doesn't show CLOUDS but MOISTURE but...today near EDDF there was some clouds with begin of thunderstorm and...active radar doesn't show it.Can someone help me?Thanks to allairsurfer1

I heard somewhere that it was going to be set in the Pacific theatre, but other than that I know nothing. Does anyone have any info and/or rumors to share? It'll be interesting to see how CFS4 compares to Ubisoft's Pacific Fighters!-Scott

Hey Everyone! I cant seem to figure out why my computer is having such slow framrates. I just formatted my hard drive and I used the default fs2004 scenery settings. I also set my antialiasing to 4x and antistroptic to 8x. Here are my computer Specs:Windows XP Pro2.4 Ghz Processor1 gig Ram128 Meg Video Card (I think it is GeForce 5500)120 gig hard-driveSound Blaster Surround Sound Card...I am getting 6 fps when at TNCM (which is in the carribean). Why am I getting this? Is there some patch that will fix this? Also, I have my fps locked at 30.ThanksAnthony

I purchased FSWater but for some reason I can not move my water detail slider to high. It keeps moving back to low. I have the other one set on "land only" so that's not the problem. It is almost like some video setting has been changed that those effects can not be rendered. It used to work. Any ideas?? ThanksDavid

is the weather in boston always this bad? for the last week it has been the foulest weather i've seen in a while. this morning i flew a pattern around KBOS and landed, {barely} in the kingair 350. although it wasn't raining, the winds and turbulence were terrible! add a blinding rain storm on top of that and that was what it was for most of the week. horrible flying conditions, maybe. it just makes me wonder if they allow the airport to stay open in that sort of weather. i also flew a few patterns in the 777 in those conditions and i know those real pilots earn their money. if you got the time, fly a pattern around KBOS with real weather to hone your IFR skills! william
