Has anyone seen a real overcast since upgrading to AS2004.5??? I've done a couple flights to see how the new update handles overcast and I can't seem to produce anything. Once again we have the same situation we have with FS2k4 default weather where everything looks great from the ground but once you get over the haze layer you have clear skies with scattered clouds. I am thinking about moving back to non-FMC cockpits as my time is so limited these days, and am wondering what panel to instal for the 757/767 type. Is there a freeware panel for this bird with built-in callouts, autoland, etc. that is fully FS9 compatible?Appreciate any advice, thanks!JS

Let's just say that my experience with MS2004 weather is 'shaky' at best.Using a combination of Chris Willis replacement cloud textures (the most frame rate friendly ones) and real weather (ms default) and FSUIPC's layer limits, I can achieve "flyable" conditions at best.I have a 2.0 ghz Athlon processor, 684 Megs of Ram with an Nvidia 5200FX video card (not the best I know), and I tend to like my autogen and scenery complexity more towards the extreme end of density. And in all but the most crowded areas, I can usually get an "acceptable" flight, as long as I don't look out the side too much or do too much "out of cockpit" scanning of the aircraft in flight. What I am wo…

First I'd like to thank everyone who has tried to help me, and some others with this bug that seems unfixable. There seems to be some confusion as to exactly what this bug is doing. So I get varying solutions, some which it seems don't realize what it exactly is we are experiencing. So please bear with me as I go into this lengthy description. I'd posted this once but didn't put anything in the subject bar, so I guess it didn't post. Soooo, here it goes again!I hope you will all be patient with me. Some may feel I am flogging a dead horse, but this little bug has really taken some of the virtual fun out of my simming experience. I think some of you don't really understand…

Does anyone know if this product can be run on a second computer via WideFS? I understand the voice recognition is pretty power intensive so this would probably be the only way I could do it. ThanksDavid

I'm wondering why the stock ATC in FS9 so often vectors you into a position where you can absolutely not establish yourself on the localizer. This seems to happen more often with add-on airports than with the stock ones that came with the sim.Any way to improve one's odds of getting correct vectors?ricardo

Sorry if this is the wrong forum!I'm putting together my Christmas list and I think I need some ideas! So far I've put down the Edimensional Track IR, The PMDG 737NG, some flight videos and a couple of books. Any more ideas? The rules are 1. No downloads. I want to be able to rip the wrapping paper off on Christmas Day! 2. Must be available in the UK. I don't want to rely on international post. 3. Must be under

Hi all,I'm looking for a nice payware GA twin to take a bit of a break from the big iron I've been flying lately. Time to go cruise the coast or something :) I'd like to stick with payware as I haven't found a freeware package that was as complete as I would like.I'm considering the Cessna 310 from Dreamfleet. Anyone have it? How is it? Flight model? VC? Sounds? Anyone have any other recommendations for a nice GA twin? I'm looking for something I can fly low and slow, or cruise at 200+ knots for some touring. Any help would be great. Thanks!Nathan

I have searched the forums for the freeware UK Navigation Obstacles but cannot find anything. The files are to be found in the Avsim Library and they are very good. They add chimneys, cooling towers etc to your scenery and the effect especially near airports add that little bit extra to create interest. I have posted some days ago about this issue. For some reason there's no way I can make FSUIPC 3.4 produce any turbulence with Active Sky WXre, although I know some guys that has the same version and fly shaking all the way. Other than that my winds don't decrease in instensity when I descend and I end up landing with over 40 Knots every time (I should be postive and say I am becoming an experienced pilot, but I would like to land normally too).I changed the turbulence parameter in the FS9.cfg putting from 1 to 0.50 with no result, then I tried putting it at 4 and nothing again.Supposedly new versions of FSUIPC have decreased turbulence then I tried to install a previous …

I really perked up when I saw that ad for FSCOM. A substitute for FS9 ATC! However, After tracking down their website (couldn't get Avsims link to work), it appears to be an "lone wolf, adventure type program", that ignores all other aircraft. Am I correct? Their FAQ link is under construction and I didn't see any reference to AI aircraft in their main description. Anyone familiar with this? Fitz

I have a 2.4 Ghz computer with 512 RAM, and a good video and graphics card as well (not sure what kind..just know it's good). Generally in air I have great framerates, and around 10 when I'm on the ground with an addon airport. I should be getting much better, but the real problem is on approach when I get down to around 10k feet and start to get lower once I get on final my frames eventually drop below 5, sometimes down to 2 making it a slide show. There has to be something wrong, because I should have better frames than that. This happens at mainly addon airports, but it does a lot on default as well. Does anyone know how to get rid of this problem?

It's been over a year since I have used FS. I had to reinstall FS2002 Pro and I think there was a patch file that was needed. If anyone could verify this, and if needed, where can I obtain it.Thanks in advance,Larry

I just got Ultimate Traffic. Iinstalled it and i installed all the components. It came time to compile my first traffic file. I began the compile process, but after a 30% completion, UT displayed an error message. Ut was telling me that it had encountered an error while attempting to collect the airport information it required. I am using FS2002 and would really appreciate all the help I can get trying to figure out the cause of the problem. If you can't help me with the error message, maybe you can tell me where the airport information file is located in the FS2002 stem. :-zhelp

G'Day!I am toying with the idea for a repaint of a Ford Bronco in the Alaska State Trooper livery.Unfortunately, I have not been able to locate any "clear" images of the proper insignia anywhere online. If you have any photos, clipart, etc., appropriate to this topic, I would sure apprecite them.Anything for the U.S. Forestry Dept. would also be appreciated. Also, anything vehicle-wise for the Canadian provinces.Email them to:[email protected] in advanceHeather
