I have never found out why so many instrument landings I make (withall jet aircraft as far as I can tell) end up with the glidescope bringing the aircraft down too fast and consequently wanting to land well short of the airport. The approaches are normal in all other respects, and the PAPI look good at the time the aircraft picks up the glidescope. But descent is then too rapid and the PAPI change to all red before long. If I don't disengage the AP, AT, FD.... and pull up (panic!) I land amid houses and trees (or whatever). Am I doing something wrong? Hello :)Im enjoying flying the Open Sky A340 around but Im having severe problems on the descent, approach and landing. I dont know the proper decent & approach profile for this plane and end up with excessive airspeed and altitude near the runway (even though I started the descent at the correct altitude)Do any of you have an V-speeds and such for the A340 airplane?..or perhaps I could get some tips from you experienced PC A340 pilots?:)Thank you

Hi all,The KA350 is great machine. However, I've been having a lot of problems with it; especially on the ground. It seems that even at low idle, it continues to move forward with the break on. When the break is released, it moves so fast to a point I'm not able to control it well. When that happens, I check the speed, it's above 30. That is definitly too fast. Anyone know how to slow it down? I tried to reduce the prop, but that does not work for me either. Thnx.

I was wondering if I could save a default flight set up that automatically placed me at a certain location(unless specified), with engines off, while still referencing system time?I'd like to start off in a certain parking area, using real-time with the engines off. I like performing the start procedures, the auto-engine start up really bugs me...really bugs me!Is there any way to request specific runways? I use KOAK as my home field, but I use the GA north field area which use 27/09s in conjunction with the main 29/11 runway thats for the Int'l area. If someone has a moment, can they post a screenshot of the mountain textures near Honolulu. The reason I ask is that I see areas of lime green texture (I'm at work so I can't post an example). I can't remember if this is default or not. I'm using MyWorld and FSGenesis landclass but the texture appears even with these turned off. if it isn't default perhaps it comes from the 2004_wood_desert.zip textures by Marcel Aerni??If it is new textures, is there a simple way to revert this particular one back to default? I'm very happy with the others.I'll try to get a screenshot here this evening if that helps.Victor

Does anyone know which disc the default city night textures for FS9 are on and what they are called? I installed some alternate textures that were great when I put them on. But now I have USA Roads and the updated textures make it hard to see the actual roads as they are meant to look like lighted streets themselves.Please Help.Jared

After badly messing up some scenery files, I've recently found the need to uninstall/reinstall FS 2004. The problem is, if I try to uninstall, either from the disk or the start menu option, the program hangs up during the "initializing uninstall" phase and won't complete. If I try from the add/remove programs option I get no response. This is a new one on me. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Hello guys,I find the whole scenery importing via fs2004 a bit old fashioned and frankly there are a lot of times when i copy new scenery files into the addon scenery files and forgot to import it to the sim.Is there a FREEWARE standalone program that will let me add scenery to fs2004 even though the actual simulator isnt running ?Thanks in advance,Ben.

Hi, I am using GeFx5500 256mb graphics card. Have tried 2 different kinds of drivers and I have stuttering where sim will pause and resume about every minute and there is shimmering of landscape and so forth. I have plenty of memory. I got FS9 a few weeks ago and notice that my 2d panels blink. They become black for a fraction of a second and come back to normal. They blink many times in a row and then it doesn't blink for an hour, to blik again for 2 or three minutes. It is only the 2d panel, since the exterior image doesn't change and the other views (VC, tower and spot) don't blink at all.I got the patch but nothing chnaged, I used to think it was related to flying on line, but I observed it happen at any time.Is this normal in FS9? I am unable to Un-install the FS9 Update, because I get an ERROR window asking for the 'BACKUP/update.bat' File ? I can't find it either. So we have a 'Mexican' standoff situation. Does anyone know if Fs9 will un-install with the Update still in situ ?MS does not appear to cater for this problem.wizard01

Hope you guys can help me with this one. I use FSbuild as my flight planner because it's compatible with both PMDG 737 as well as the PSS Airbus and it's a great product. My problem is FS9 only recognizes my flightplan as VFR even after selecting IFR when loading it. I only fly IFR so is there a way to set the default flight rules in the FS9 flight planner to IFR?Note:FSbuild is also compatible with FS9 and exporting flightplans is not a problem.

Hey Shez, every time I change this line past 19 in the FS9 config file to take advantage of the latest 9.1 patch updates,'TERRAIN_MAX_VERTEX_LEVEL=21'(when landing into KSNA from say KPHX) Santa Ana's ground textures sink into the ground slightly.Can you release a fix for those of us who would like to take advantage of FS9.1's enhancements???Thanks Shez for your hard work, I hope we see Long Beach updated as well (Home of the 717)...

Hi Guys,I understand there is an update to FS2004 called FS9.1. I'd apreciate hearing from someone who has installed it and where does one get it. I also understand that we need the FSUIPC upgrade from ver 3.3 tover 3.4. For some reason I can't download real world weather anymore. This happened recently. I have XP SP2 and FS9.1 Everything seemed to be working ok.I was connected to the internet ok. When I click on "download real world weather" the window opens but no loading bar. The task manager says FS 9 isn't responding. I can't cancel the download window. Is there a dll I can retrive and replace or could there be another reason ?Thanks

I recently decided to try a search and rescue flight from the Avsim library. Then changed my mind and went into my Add On scenery folder and deleted all that was there. Now I get this prompt every time I load FS9; "Scenery.cfg file error Local scenery directory (Addon SceneryScenery) in scenery area.038 not foundWas there a file in the Addon scenery folder that I shouldn't have deleted? If so, can someone tell me where to find it so I don't have to reinstall FS9? Maybe I asked the wrong thing, or maybe I just wasn't understood, or maybe nobody knows, so I'll ask it this way. Would someone please look in their addon scenery folder and tell me if there's a file in there, other than files you may have added on? I deleted all files in this folder thinking it should be empty except for addon scenery. I didn't want any leftover addon scenery files, so I emptied this folder. Is their a file in there that I should have left alone? I keep getting a scenery.cfg error when I try to load FS9. It lets me continue and seems to function ok, but I'm just curious to know if I'm missing a scenery file now.

Here is my story.....Last week I was having trouble with my graphic card, (The graphic card came loose) I got the card fixed and while he was at it my cousin check for worms and trojans on my computer. The program he used found 3 worms and 2 trojans on my computer. (the program I used did not pick these up) After he cleaned the worms and trojans up I get the computer back, set it up and fire up FS2004 and I am now getting better performance now than I did before my friend check it!I can now fly the PMDG plane into Simflyers LAS with full details of clouds and get framerates in the low 30's! Hello - it's been a loooooong time since I've posted here - hope everyone is well. :)I've been experiencing an extremely irritating and intermittent FS9 (FS2004) bug: my computer crashes to the desktop whenever I use differential braking. Sometimes it's fine, sometimes it won't happen for a couple of minutes, sometimes it happens as soon as I hit the F11/F12 keys, and sometimes, it works flawlessly. It's independent of whatever plane I'm flying (er, driving), occurring with Stock as well as aftermarket aircraft. Hi,In the past I have imposed system wide 3D driver settings which has been ok, but the settings I use for FS2004 does have an impact on the performance of some other games unless you can be bothered changing to preferred specific settings prior to launching each game. When I read about RadLinker being included with Omega's latest driver set I thought this seemed to be the perfect solution in that I can now leave the driver installation at Omega's default settings and instead set up the driver easily prior to launching a game by the creation of a unique configuration with a RadLink for each game. I just filed an IFR flight plan within FS and chose High Altitude airways since I was flying the FSD Cheyenne from KAVP - KMYR (Myrtle Beach) and wanted about 20,000 ft for cruise. The plan came back with all J air routes including those on departure and approach where I was lower than FL 180. I edited and modified those legs using Victor routes. Was this correct, or is it OK to leave the whole plan with J - routes? thanks. Regards, Tom

I have found a lot of information about this product regarding the scenery per see including screenshots.But exactly what is included in the box? Only a CD? For exampleUSA Megascenery comes with a couple of maps and printed manuals.What about Austria Pro? It has a rather high price. Is it worth it?
