Hi,I guess it couldn't last...LOL. FS9 was installed all that time ago and has never once given me grief. My simming friends envied my installation's stability and performance along with all its numerous addons and enhancements. Hi everyoneJust downloaded Eric's panel and love it but I cannot get the aircraft to follow the flightplan loaded in to the FMCU. I do not find the documentation very clear; talks about pulling and pushing the FCU buttons which I do but nothing happens. I loaded the Navdata program as instructed and get all the displays for the route I am following so that cannot be the problem.Any help appreciated as I am sure I must be missing something simple!!ThanksJohn Hewson

Just installed the update and took a test flight. It may have been the most realistic looking sim flight I've ever taken. ActiveSky '04 update provided one of the most incredable experiences for me which left me compelled to comment. The weather detail is one thing. What the clouds and visibility do is another. This is an excellent program for anyone wanting to practice IFR flying. My flight was in the Cincinnati area and the weather here today was crappy with low visibility. At about 1000ft AGL, I lost all reference to the ground except the very brief limited veiws while banking. For MSFS2004, for Jets like B737, B767 etc, I would like to add a second "wind_sound" that plays at airspeeds between 100 and 250 kts. What I want is that deep rumbling sound heard from the cabin on approach when flaps are extended. I have a WAV file ready, but I don't know how to modify the SOUND.CFG file to play it. I have tried adding a second wind_sound with a link, but it does not play.Does anyone know how this can be done?Thanks, Eric

how is the FPS in the VC on this bird? I am considering buying it but I have never been happy with VC FPS's in the past. PMDG 737=massive FPS killer.....Eaglesoft bix jets=not as bad but still not very good...the only VC's I have great FR's with are the dafault ones...how does the CS 727 compare?

Other than finding the previously missing bridges, is there anyway to tell how much improvement there is with the patch? I have been flying around my usual places and have not noticed anything in particular, but then maybe I don't know where to look. Maybe there are too many variables to pick out something specific, but I would be interested.Thanks!Airbus

Leaving the big iron for a while I went touring around Ireland VFR, with real weather.Yes, you see the contradiction. In Ireland we have a saying that is, "If you don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes", so VFR isn't going to happen in October for the full day it took to land at every airport.I took the DCH-6 Vistalander (Twin Otter). All was well until I got stuck in some cloud in the North West around 3000ft terrain and I realised I had NO ADF! I had to use a chart and use crossing radials of VORs and DME readings to take spot checks on where I was.I went off to find another similar light aircraft and after going through about 5 or 6 aircraft I was left rather annoye…

Hi Gang,Hope this is the right forum - apologies if not....Not sure if I'm just bein picky here or not, so bear with me. I've only really noticed this since I got my new machine recently (spec's below). The ground textures just don't seem to load quickly enough, if at all at high altitude. They do seem, ironically, better nearer the ground (say 5000') even at high speed. Have tried a couple of different drivers for graphics card - but it's always the same. Running Directx9.0c at the mo and have also gone back and tried 9.0b to no avail. All sliders are full right on my machine BTW, and I've got my FPS set at unlimited, although I've tried locking at 35 with no differen…

I have tried using "Easy" for atc_airline on my PMDG 737, but ATC won't recognize it. "Easy" is in my airline.cfg file. First, is "Easy" the correct callsign for EasyJet airlines? Second, where can I find it so I can use editvoicepak to install it?Thanks!Airbus

Hi Ken (or anyone else?),I am trying to configure FSAutoStart to point to a RadLink file created for the FS9 executable in the hope I can automate the business of setting up my preferred AA and AF settings for FS before starting the sim. So far I haven't had any success.If I click on the FS9 Radlink file my AA and AF settings are executed normally and FS starts fine. On exiting the sim the default Radeon graphic driver filter settings are restored by RadLink.I have tried creating a RadLink for the FSAutoStart shortcut on my desktop and clicking this Radlink establishes my AA and AF settings. i was interested in knowing if the latest update has cured the slow refresh rate of the gauges now? I just installed a Radeon 9600xt, (256) and I'm running FS2002. Generally, it works just fine, and performance is noticeably better than with my old GeForce 2. (well, duh..) However, there is one problem I never had before. If I switch out of FS2002 (like to AFCAD or to add some scenery file or whatever) and then come back, a lot of the time my exterior view out the cockpit is black, and I can't switch views. The cockpit itself is OK. This also happened one time when I was interrupted for a while (my wife or the Red Sox, I forget which) and then came back to the screen saver.I've found that I can press alt-settings-blah-blah-blah and bring up the screen for the grap…

I purchased & installed the Streams, Rails & Utilities from FS Genesis tonight (No Roads - I like US Roads). It says I successfully installed it. I see NO DIFFERENCE with it installed whatsoever! For example, I don't see a single power line anywhere! I even tried putting the slider all the way to the highest setting. Can someone possible send me a picture with one of the power lines in it? At least I will know what it is supposed to look like. (I even have the autogen setting cheked for the power lines). I am not sure if the streams are showing up either, although if they are, they seem to be a darker shade of green than the default.Any ideas? Also - if I…

For no obvious reason FS9 (patched to 9.1) refuses to run today. When attempting to run it, it immediately comes up with the error message: "Your computer has run out of available memory...." It then shuts down. Of course, there's loads of RAM and HD memory. Other programs/games run okay. Does anyone know what might cause FS to come up with a spurious out of memory message? Many thanks. Greeting friends :)I just installed a most excellent freeware Let-410 turboprop from Avsim (Download ID = 54554) It installed into my FS2004 without any problems except one: there are empty holes in the instrument panel where the guages should be.The problem is present both in the 2D cockpit and the virtual cockpit.:(I went to the developers forum but it is in Hungarian (if Im not mistaken) Googling the internet produced no results either.Could someone please help!Thanx!!

Just completed a fresh install of FS9.1, scenery, VFR Photographic Scenery, VFR Mesh etc and finally installed the wonderful GA-Traffic program to bring my virtual flying world to life.I made the mistake on my previous install of using loads of "non AI" textured aircraft as AI and it really slowed my system down (even after reducing the texture size in GA Traffic). It isn't possible to set a percentage for GA Traffic so you are left with nothing or 100% AI:(Can anyone give me some suggestions or URL's for purpose built AI light aircraft (or normal GA aircraft which can easily be reduced in texture size?). Hi there,I'm trying to change my VFR/IFR takeoff/landing clearences to include "cleared for takeoff, winds 060@12". I'm still in the learning process with EVP3.1.Does anyone have any easy pointers as to how to achieve this, I've read in an earlier post that it's possible.
