Hi there!Maybe this is a silly question, but especially upon weather changes "my" clouds look a little weird, as if they had been cut apart (sorry I have no screenshot). Can anyone tell me whether this is normal, and, if not, how to get rid of that?Thanks!Greetings,Holger

Been flying around the Hong Kong area and I keep getting a g3d.dll crash between VHHH and VHHX. There seems to be an odd green island there which doesn't seem to use autogen textures so looks like it's a third party thing, but with all addon sceneries turned off it's still there and the crashes still happen. The only addon sceneries that could be active are ones that say you're supposed to install them into folders in the main scenery folder. (the hyp*.bgl type) Anyone have any idea what could be causing this, or what I could do to try and isolate the cause?"Let me help you out. I have just installed a new instance of FS9, and am adding some of the texture / performance enhancements that have been released over time. I have the CD that Flight One gave out at the Denver conference, and am contemplating this in place of some of the water texture sets that I have tried before. Has anyone tried FSWater and have any comments about how it looks and any performance issues? Thanks, Bruce.

Just bought an ATI X800 pro. Upgraded from a 9800 pro. With activesky and PMDG 737 it seems to give me about 20-25 fps. Man i was getting that with my 9800 pro! Yes I uninstalled and reinstalled new drivers. ANy ideas why I am not getting better performance? I didnt really change anything int he display settings. Thx.

As I frequently fly into Munich airport I wondered if there was a payware version of the airport. I found that Aerosoft makes one where there are some other airports included. What is your opinion on this airport, and more importantly...how is it on the framerates?-Mikkel

Just wondering if you guys could offer me any advice and assistance...Like most of you, i recently attempted to install the new fs9 patch, but it failed to install succesfully, so i thought that i would take the risk and completely re-install fs9 and everyrhing in it.So i did and after many hiccups, i think i have things working ok, however, because i had to re-install fs9, i seem to have lost all my custom ai-traffic that i had built up. Now all i see are default traffic. My aircraft folder still has all the ai aircraft but i cannot see all my customised traffic in the sim, only default.Is there any way around this, or have i lost my ai traffic?

Hi All, :-beerchugI have just purchased this great program, but I was not aware that it does not contain the SIDS and STARS like FS Navigator did, I was looking for an up-dated program for on-line flying as I have now heard that Helge has indeed retired to Canada, and I was not sure that anyone would pick up on the program :( I know I can buy other programs to do things similar to these two, but I wanted one that had a moving map, and a facility to make flight plans and include SIDS and STARS in it for my VATSIM flying. I thought that FS Commander did this, but I have found out after talking to the author that it uses the DAFIF format, and it won't have the SIDS and STARS…

Hi all, I want to know how to add in a aircraft sound config some cockpit fan and apu sounds that will be on all the time even before I start the engines. Most planes I have are dead quiet until I Hit Shift E and then I hear some APU sounds and cockpit sounds but I dont want to start engines in order to hear this. Is there a way to do this?Thanks,Bill

I have a TIR... Is there any reason that I should have AC? Are the two compatible? Will AC add to the experience of the TIR?How about Active Sky? Why would I need a program to help me generate weather when FS already does this?Do addons like this cause an FPS drop or are they very benign since they are essentially "part of the program"?

This is just great. I notice that after the patch when switching stereo3d on if paused it works great but then the image for the right eye never updates. Anyone else experience something similar that uses stereo3d glasses like Edimensionals or similar?

I have found that with some aircraft, when I try to close or move some secondary panels to a second monitor that FS9 instantly exits with no warning window or anything else. This does not happen if I disable the original default fs9.exe file and enable that other unspeakable fs9.exe file (with or without uninstalling the patch).This has been particularly true on the PSS Dash 8 with the overhead or FMC panel.I can restart FS9 and repeat the exact same steps and everything may work ok. There is no warning when this is going to happen, or if it is going to work without any problem. I do not know whether this happens on default aircraft or is unique to third party birds only.…

Hey everyone,After installing the patch, I went to use one of my favorite freeware panels, Lonny Payne's 757 panel. Much to my dismay, I found that it doesn't work entirely anymore! If you've used it before, you all know about the changes to the aircraft.cfg you must make to the flaps, radio, and autopilot sections. With the patch, the changes do nothing! Flaps don't register, you can't change the nav 1 radio and you can't turn the FD on! I'm clueless as to what to do! I use the POSKY 757 with it and any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.-Cal

I need a hub for my flights to PHNL, so I'm thinking of buying either of the new sceneries.In the Simflyers forum, one guy wrote that Fly Tampa is on par to Simflyers quality, if not better, so I'm somewhat insecure now, I thought of going for KLAX first.Anyone can give me some recommendations or point out drawbacks in either scenery?Andreas

I had a simple question I've been neglecting to ask a commercial pilot for quite sometime. Last night I got the opportunity and please forgive me if this is common knowledge.I asked my pilot friend what point of reference does a pilot use to keep the nose wheel right on the taxi line. I've always been so impressed with how well they do it.My friend is a CRJ pilot for Pinnacle (NW Airlink) and he told me the CRJ pilots use their right inside knee. 737's use the right outside knee. Hi All after reading the latest edition of PC Pilot and about 4 months away from Flight Sim due to the Seasonal CTD's that have plauged many of us, Which MS have now fixed and for which I am most greatfull.
