I am the original poster of this previous thread, and I have been away from the forums for a few days, so I never got a chance to respond to the original before it degenerated into a flame war. I am perplexed and dismayed at some of the responses my posting of simple information elicited. I am opening this new thread to clarify my position, as it would get lost in the original post. I have an agp videocard with dual connectors, three screens (one connected to a pci video card), dual ch products yoke and dual ch products pedals. I also have some goflight modules of which I intend to buy more and also going to build a middle console for them.My thought is to mount the screens and yokes/pedals side by side, two chairs and the console between the chairs. The gofligh modules would be used to control AP, radios, lights etc.Then use an aircraft where you have a captain's as well as FO's view (such as the Aeroworx King Air) and then undock the FO's view to the screen on the right station. I find I can't see far enough to the right or left from the cockpit view to properly judge when I should begin leveling, and I want to be able to read my instruments because it's kind of a critical time. If I go to spot view from behind the aircraft and zoom out a bit I can see the runway fine and know when to level so as to come out of the turn lined up but I can't see the instruments. So I'm switching back and forth. No big deal, just wondering if someone had some better ideas. Thx!billg

Hi guys well after my system got trashed in atunder storm about 3 weeks back im about to reinstall FS9...I was wondering where the huge mesh errors are in FS9 id just like to visit them before i install Justin's great mesh..Please feel free to include any other odd things that appear in a clean install of FS9 :)

Just wondering how Force Feedback is in this game? Is it realistic? can you feel stalls, etc.? What joysticks are the BEST for force feedback and just for overall game play in this game as well as Combat Flight Simulator 3?Any and all info would be HIGHLY appreciated, thanks!

How well does FSRoads integrate with the default scenery? For example, when it adds a road where none previously existed, does it perform some kind of smoothing to get rid of objects(trees, buildings) which are in the way? I don't think it would be very realistic to have roads going up and over houses and factories!In general, how well do the roads look for VFR flight?FSRoads - UK and Ireland has just been released, and I am contemplating purchase.Thanks,Frank

I have a question on the default C172 take-off behaviour which I find quite odd.To clarify things, I'm not a real pilot, and I've only ever done one trial flight (which was in a C152, and the instructor made me take-off and land the plane, which was a nice adrenalin rush).I'm 'wasting' my time mostly making scenary and other mods, but rarely take the time to actually spend some quality time flying. For a change, this week I put some time aside to practice my flying skills. I just downloaded the FS9 update, FSUIPC 3.4, installed FSUIPC, and clicked on the EXE file to commence the update. I then got the warning that it may cause addons to not work properly. OK, now what. Due to my usual luck and belief in the philosophy 'if something can go wrong, it will', do I continue or not??: I have Active Camera, Ultimate Traffic, FSGenesis USA mesh, FScene, FSMeteo, and Radar Contact installed, and decent performance, although some stutters and jumping around of FPS at times. I hope you can help me or I will have to completely uninstall FS9 and start over again.I kept reading about the details of preparing to install the patch, and after I had done it successfully, I thought I'd make sure. So, I tried uninstalling it according to the directions on the Microsoft site. However, I think I inadvertently interrupted the process, and proceeded too quickly to the next step of uninstalling the backup before the uninstall was complete.Now, after 2 "restore" attempts, I cannot reinstall the patch. I already posted this in another thread but after adjusting these settings and flying around all weekend I'm really impressed I no longer have an autogen/framerate problem. With Version 9.1 of FS2k4 having full autogen still causes a decrease in framerates over large cities. Although the memory leak is fixed (I believe) it seems the light poles, power lines, and billboards still bring down framerates. I've found a way to keep all the add-on scenery and still have great framerates. The solution is simple, decrease the density of the problem objects and keep everything else as it should be. You'll still see your billboards from time to time but the hit all this extra sc…

I've been having some strange elevation problems since I installed the new patch...Hallo AllI, just like any one else, installed the new FS9.1 Update. No problems whatsoever with the installation!I was doing a test from KJFK starting at Rnwy 31L, flying straight out, then making a right turn when I came across this elavation problem... New mountains (I just called them that) came out of nowhere as you can see on the pictures. I was wondering if anyone else had this problem too... another thing is that so long the CD is in the drive the game seems to keep looking or reading from it... Hi all,Well this is a new one too me, I have just downloaded and installed Brian Gladdens Volpar, and its fine and dandy, FPS very good.Untill, I give it full throttle and the FPS drop through the floor, reduce the throttle and FPS are back to normal.Very Strange, any ideas?Dan

Hi,I have a question for Ken. I have recently installed FSAutostart, and whenever I launch it I have an error message which appears immediately after the line "Phase1 Stopping Programs"; the message is "Error opening process handle : code 5".Despite this message, the program keeps on working until it launches FS9 and at the end it restarts all the stopped services and programs.Any suggestion how to avoid the above error to occur ?Regards

I have a FS2002 scenery of Antalya installed in FS2004, it works fine except the are a bunch of default trees right in the middle of one of the taxiways. I can still use the taxiway, I just have to turn off the crash detection when I do. Is the a way I can remove these trees?Also I have Paul Mainville Detroit airport version 5.1 scenery and there are a few taxiways with missing textures. Any idea how to get the textures to show up?Thanks :-)

I downloaded and installed the free trial of 2 of their Flight Ventures - only flown one so far , but quite enjoyed it. This particular one involved a storyline whereby you have to fly to Meigs to pick up a reporter and then find a motor crash site north of Chicago. This is done in darkening conditions with rain and turbulence. I managed to get all the tasks done -- I like the way the reporter waiting for you at Meigs , instantly dissapears into your a/c when you stop alongside her. Finding the crash site was not too difficult - I decided to land on the motorway to check it out before procedding home.I don't mind these sort of adventures -- they give me something to do ot…

HiI'm looking for users of this program to ask a few fundamental questions about the program,can we use the Move A/C to here as in FS Nav, and the Fly Flightplan, and can we export a made up flightplan from FS Commander to either FS9 or S/Box and FS9 too for on-line flying with VATSIM.I ask these because I am thinking of purchasing this add on but wanted to know if we could do these things as in FS Nav,I appreciate any replies with infothanksSteve.

G'Day!I have been playing with Prject AI for the first time and wow, what I have been missing!My question is that I recall in FS2002, one was able to cycle through exterior views of all of the AI aircraft. However, I'm not seeing the command to be able to do this in FS9. Has that feature been omitted?Regards.Heather
