Does anyone know of any freeware Casablanca scenery, either the city or the airport or both that works in FS2004?How about any other Morocco scenery besides mesh?Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I love adding sounds to the FS2004 landscape via LAGO's FSE, however more often than not, adding even a few sounds will result in FS9.1 refusing to load (I get an "out of memory" error upon starting). I have dozens of my own and 3rd party FSE sceneries installed, and all get along fine, however it still seems that every time I try to add some sounds of my own, there's a 2:3 chance that it will cause FS9.1 to fail to load. The attached files is an example. Can anyone help me to understand while these files cause FS9.1 to refuse to start, i.e., I get the "out of memory" error? Hello all! Here's a little tip that you may find useful if you have installed the FS9.1 patch to take advantage of the simulator's improved ability to render complex mesh details. IF you have changed the TERRAIN_MAX_VERTEX_LEVEL value from 19 to 21 in the FS9.CFG, you may have noticed that the smaller rivers and streams (those that are not wide enough to have their own floatable water in the sim) are suddenly running in some very deep trenches. To someone like me, living in a rather flat country like Denmark, this looks very unrealistic. But this can easily be corrcted by changing two lines in the terrain.cfg (in the FS9 main folder), since these small rivers and streams a…

Tried installing the patch tonight. It just seems to lock up and won't respond every time it gets to something called ablscpt.dll. I don't get any error messages at all - it just stops responding & I have to CTRL-ALT DEL & cancel out, as windows then tells me that the program is not responding. Anyone have any ideas? Also, if I try to run the patch again, it tells me that "version 9.1 is already installed" (which I checked - it CERTAINLY isn NOT) "or has been cancelled." Any ideas?ThanksChris Catalano

This is a longshot... I have had this scenery for some time, however I rarely use it as it does not like having any Terrain Mesh installed for France, textures bleed through etc, flickering shoreline, all pretty naff. The developers have confirmed this. I don't suppose anyone has sorted this out by any chance, I did try a flatten switch on the Terrain mesh but I don't know what I am doing to be honest.HelpThanksPaul

Most probably is just that their server is down, but I paid for an F-16 there on Saturday, and low and behold, their site is inaccessible from my machine to this very minute Monday evening. Check and see if you can get to www.lagosim.com.Noel

Hello,The new FS2004 update has taught me a lesson about my sims. The wear and tear on hardware from CD startups had to be balanced against the legality of the CD protection systems. When I made the update to FS2004 (9.1) the NOCD startup that I used no longer worked correctly.Since I own legal versions of all of my sims that need CD's to start, I tried two solutions - Alcohol 120 and Game Jackal. Both of these solutions require that I have a valid CD to start the game in order to get the system to work. Each has it benifits,1. The Alcohol lets me produce a "copy" of the CD that is then loaded into a Virtual CDROM drive. When the Sim starts up, it checks the Virtual drive…

Hi fellow simmers,I am currently flying the "Hops Round The World" tour and using the MS Beech King Air most of the time.I am having difficulties landing it properly; I mean the plane over-reacts to any joystick input as I am trying to align and flare. In the end I will crash most of the time...Any advice to land this bird safely ?Thanks all...Mike Rookie

Hello all, I have a request for everyone here and I think that it will help matters tremendously. I know others have said this in the past but I would like to ask for your help again. A lot of you post here with problems that you are having with your FS set up and there usually are a lot of great answers posted to help you. On occasion someone will get so excited that their problem is fixed that they will fail to post again saying that their problem has been fixed and what the solution was, I think that I may have done this myself in the past. Please, take the extra few minutes and post the resolution here so that others can benefit from that knowledge. I have searched th…

I use an intriguing, free cinematic screen saver called "Holding Pattern".It consists of live movies taken from passenger seats in an aircraft flying over interesting land (both day and night) and passing through wonderful cloud formations. It can be found onhttp://www.idle-time.org/download.htmlMy question is does anyone know of other cinematic screen savers of this standard and, if so, where can they be found?Cliff

I made a clean install of both Windows XP plus SP2, then FS9 and the update to 9.1. I wish I'd left well alone. I have nothing else installed on this partition, just Windows & FS9.1 and associated programmes. The programme seems to use far more RAM than before - whatever the reason aircraft and scenery don't draw properly any more. I've posted two screenshots at:IMAGES REMOVED - TOO LARGEThe latter shows AI traffic (Ultimate Traffic). Things do suddenly snap into focus, but several minutes into the flight. I'm going to try different graphics drivers (ATI Radeon 9800 Pro) but if anyone has any suggestions in the meantime, they'd be very welcome!Martin

You know, while I love MS for inventing FS, I wonder why they released the patch now, so late in the game. It's clearly giving folks with various add-ons and mods a lot of headaches. Surely, MS knows that the performance issues associated with FS9 are concentrated in the serious hobbyist community whose members have tons of complex add-ons. Ergo, more risk with patching. On our side: why do people go and instal stuff that they should be able to suspect will mangle their systems and make them miserable? (Answer: because we are FS addicts. Not just hobbyists. But ADDICTS, yes, and we can't help ourselves...!)I have a zillion add-ons in FS9. I also did the FS-GS PC tweak…

Hi guys,I'm having a strange problem in my FS9.Specifically at south of Spain, between Valencia and Malaga, I'm having trouble, because quite often, I have CTD as soon I open the map view, or the detailed maped flightplan, when I'm creating or editing one!!Flying over the region is no problem! I flew yesterday from Barcelona to Almeria twice, but the first time was interrupted when I opened the map view! Second time, I went VFR without making a flightplan, and was just great! However, another time, when I was at Valencia creating a flightplan, as soon I had "find Route" and get the map view of it, CTD!!On another regions this is not happening! Do you think its a AFD file?…

I was using FS2002 and it was working just fine. While I was selecting a new flight I got the blue screen saying that there was an error and so Windows shut down. That has happened a couple times before and i just restarted the computer and FS2002 started up again like normal. However, this time, FS2002 will not start. It freezes at the opening screen. When I look at the task manager it says that FS2002 is "not responding." What should I do? If i uninstall and re-install FS2002 will I lose any scenery that I have imported and the flights that I have created and saved?Thank you in advance
