After installing the update patch, I have noticed while taxiing for departure at KSEA in one of the "Default" FS2004 747s, the nose gear hops like a rabbit. This happens at speeds under 20 knots as I seemed to have read where 20-25 knots is max taxi speed.Anyway, has this "Always" been a problem and I am now just noticing it or is there a problem with the patch in the way it reads elevation? Some places on the ramp here in ABQ causes a similar problem as if the aircraft is "Off" the paved surface.Terry

Hello fellow flight simmers....Just a quick question,when Selecting a short internal flight EGNM-EGCC I would like to know if i should leave the default altitudes that the MS flight planner gives me which are 13500 low altitude airways and 25500 high altitude....is this about right and how is is worked out?Also what is the Transition altitude?Regards Paul Teasdale

Hi GuysI installed the patch and apart from initial CTD, (fixed with Active Camera patch)it appears to be running okay.My question is how do I know if the generic.bgl was in place before I installed the patch?ThanksGerry

Hi allI did a search but couldn't find an answer - can you tell me how to set the ATC window to only pop up when it has a message for me? I've experimented with checking and unchecking the various options in ATC settings, but none of them seem to work.Many thanks.

I have been reading all these posts lately, and some of it leaves a bit of a bad taste in the mouth.From a lot of the posts MS is made out to be this big bad behemoth corporation that does not give a stuff about its users.This is definatly not the case.The patch WILL install correctly, if you only follow the instructions.I am not sure what people were expecting from this update, but the fact that there has been an update means that the MSFS team are listening, and do care about the user.Bottom line is, MS have delivered an EXCEPTIONAL sim.Where is this life can you find a $50 product that can give you so much enjoyment?, nowhere.It seems that the ungreatfull/selfish feeli…

The patch is great !!!!I had tried top end videocards hoping to get just what the patch delivered. But only the patch was needed. I returned the videocards because I was not getting what the patch gives. And then came the patch...Great patch. It dilevered what I was not getting. Thanks MSallen

I also posted this in the FS9 Patch thread, but I am also posting here for more exposure.I have installed the patch. Prior to the patch, I had the No CD fix applied (like most every FS 2004 user on the planet). The Update went flawlessly, no warnings or messages. But I noticed that when I now launch FS 2004, I don't get prompted for the CD #4. Which leads me to believe that the FS9.exe file did not get updated. According to the Update README file, if the update detects a non standard version (No CD fix version), it is supposed to give you a message, and then abort the update. I was under the impression, if all was OK the FS9.exe would be overlayed with the one in the…

I had a succesful patch but when I try to start FS9.1 it crashes to desktop. I have Updated both FSUIPC and Active Camera but it still won't start. Are there any other modules that need updating? I've read all the threads and can't find anything...Steve G

Captain a strange thing is happening to me, is it possible that to take off from an any airport of the zone West of America, type the California, or do Seattle as flight of default, owe also first to position me in another airport in the world (LIRF,LIRP or PANC or others) otherwise the simulator is not loaded??? the black window appears with the bar of loading, but it doesn't happen anything

Hi guys,with a myriad of add-ons and hardware I am verrry reluctant to install the patch. What I am really interested about is how easy it will be to go back in case anything gets FUBAR. Question is, how good is this backup thing working and does it make any inrevertable changes.Any ideas?Alex

Hi..Just installed the patch.. Seems ok, but I would like to delete the copenhagen-malmo bridge between denmark and sweden, because I have one (freeware addon) that looks better.. And right now I have two bridges.. Not so pretty..Does anyone know how to find that specific bridge and how to delete it?thanx/johan

I'm very happy with the patched FS9 overal performance. However, today I still got a CTD. I had landed on rwy 02 at EBBR with Aerosoft's Katana and was taxiing in order to leave the runway at the next exit, as instructed by the tower, when it crashed. The alert window said there was a problem with ai_playr.dll. I did send the report to MS. I have Ultimate Traffic installed, Fred. Bridoux's Belg7000 v 2.3, and Robert Buysen's EBBR installed. I started the patch and after an hour it was still installing!? I thought this couldn't be. Must be something wrong. So I "canceled" the installed, re-booted, and started the patch again. Well, it told me "looks like you already have the patch" and stops automatically! Do not stop or cancel the cancel or stop the install! It will not allow you to try again.I now have re-install flightsim 9 from scratch and then re-install the patch. :( Just didn't want others to go through the same pain.

Hi all - haven't done any simming for well over a year but just bought COF. Looks good! However I do have a couple of questions:I used to get shiny chrome textures on some aircraft in FS2002, but don't get them now. The water doesn't look particularly reflective either, despite what I read about it. Am I missing something?I don't seem to be able to operate the rudder keys in flight. Hi, 2 things:1) What is the best addon GPS (payware or freeware) that you can get currently? Which is better, the Reality XP Garmin 530 or the one from simflyer.net? Are there any products about to come out that might be worth waiting for? I'm looking for the kind of thing you can get in a Cirrus SR22 or the G1000 that Cessna are doing now.2)What good HUDs are there at the mo? After installing the patch for FS9 I was so impressed with the better performance that I thought I'd up my AA and Anisotropic settings. Now when I bring up the GPS, my "distance to" in the top right corner has a black box over the numbers so I can't read them, as well as my bearing numbers in the left top corner. I've changed my AA and Ani back to what they were before, but the little black boxes remain. Anyone know what I need to do to get things back to normal?

Installed the new patch and never had a problem or hiccup,no hang ups or any thing. My THANKS to Microsoft for putting out this update. Its a great flight sim and we all should enjoy it for what it is and was meant to be.Yes I have add on planes and FS Genesis terrain mesh covering the US, Canada and Alaska. None caused any problems and scenery and all looks real good.. Thanks Again Microsoft.Chuck

It would be great to have the option of flying some of the larger birds with 2(or more when applicable) people over the internet. Yeah, I can imagine people arguing over who gets the right seat, but that can always be worked out. It certainly help pass the time when you have someone to share the flight with. Just a thought, I apologoize if its been brought up before.
