I thought I'd have a go with FSAutostart. I've read various posts on Avsim where people have used it so I thought I try it out on my XP system. I set services and programs to stop. I also set the configuration settings and also set ActiveSky to load prior to FS9. Everything saved as needed. However, when I press Start nothing happens. Also, when I go back to FS Autostart I can't see any of my selections. It seems to revert back to default. I presume I've gone wrong somwhere.

I have applied the patch to a fresh, clean install of FS9. System WinXP SP2.I have searched for info on this error code with no luck - does anyone know what this obscure message means?Thanks in advanceDave

Hi everyone.Could someone point me to a program that can batch launch programs. Let me explain. My Squawkbox locks up sometimes and needs restarting real quick while i'm still online. I need a batch launcher that can restart programs in sequence eg.wideclientsbhostsbmainHope someone can help out.Oh by the way I downloaded a trial version of batch launcher. It works on my xp pro but not on my xphome laptop where I need the program most. This is the machine that takes care of squawkbox etc through widefs so this I'm afraid cannot help me although it would have been ideal should it have worked.Graham

Is it me or after installing the patch have some paint jobs disappeared? Seems like I use to see more a/c and painted ones that I dont now. Not saying that it is the patch just that I was wondering if anyone else noticed what I feel I am.

i was getting constant ctd's after installing the patch, it turned out i needed to update active camera, what fooled me is i read about it and thought i had the latest only to discover - nope, once i did update it then viola! no problems, very niceciao!Brian S

Just took off from Boston using the new AFCAD. The wind was from 236@12, but runways 22L & R were not being used. I was directed to runway 4. I know about going to time after loading weather to update ATIS. Checking the AFCAD, runways 22 were open for t/o. This is an official PAI AFCAD, so I don't understand why this happened.Tried posting on their forum, but even though I am a member and logged in, it keeps sending me back to the login screen, so I can't post. Does de patch alters ANY texture of fs9 including replacement ones( clowds, Auto gen, trees, runways, etc...) or just optimizes the core program???

FS9 just closes with no warning when I try to load this scenery after applying the patch. It worked fine before. Is this happening to anyone else?

completely unistalled fs9 and reinstalled.I get the error "error type 9". I suspect the problem lies in not accepting the default "c:" drivespec during the fs9 install. I installed on my "E" drive. I hope this is not the case as the update exe is installed in the root fs9 folder as required. Not using sp2. If this is the problem I find it hard to believe that MS did not check this and it search's for the fs9 exe on the "c" drive. Anyone else ?Regards Bob

Was just wondering cause i did!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I used to fly from cairo intl. a lot and i used to get from 15 to 20 fps after taking off from rwy 34 as soon as the autogen start to appear N.B:Thats after installing the low resolution autogen file from avsim library and doing a lot of modifications and autogen slider set to NORMALafter installing the patch..now i can get from 30 to 35 fps after taking off from the same rwy and same conditions (weather clear) thats after a fresh install to FS9 without any further installationsor modifications and autogen slider set to VERY DENSE could that be true or its only my mind is dreaming of heaven??????if thats true so THANKS A LOT M…

Hi guys,I tried to install this morning the patch recently released but I haven't succeeded yet.Each time, the installation is aborted by a message saying that my ATC.DLL module has been removed or modified, which surprises me knowing that before proceeding I extracted the original module from my CD.Has someone experienced such a problem ? Ok, after the patch a new simmers world begins.We can now only wait for fs2006 to hit the shelves.I have only one remark, and i wonder if anyone has done the same...Indeed the patch improved performance somewhat regarding the autogen,however for my liking it's still is way too little, when flying aeroworx or pmdg products. So, I disabled the "default.xml" file again. Things are better now...Last but not least the updated active camera is something unexpected and the add-on has become (if it wasn't already) an extremely nice addition. Still hoping for buffeting to be included when deploying spoilers (like arianedesign has) in a future update. greetings,Anthony

For users of the no CD patch, like me, it seems that MS have found a way to force us to keep the fourth CD in the CD-ROM drive as on their download page they say:Note: This FS9.EXE will require a CD in the drive for Flight Simulator to run. If any action (such as re-installing a modified FS9.exe via a 3rd party add-on software installation) causes an overwrite of the updated FS9.EXE, you will lose significant fixes included in the Flight Simulator 2004: A Century of Flight (update).Well, that's no patch for me. Furtunately, it doesn't really bother me as I was quite happy with FS2004 as it was.David

Over the last couple of days I have been having problems when starting FS 9. I am getting the following message " Your computer has run out of available memory. Flight Simulator will now exit. You may not have enough free space on your hard drive. Run Disk Cleanup to free up space and restart Flight Simulator". I have loads of disk space (67 gb) and have 512mg memory installed. Can anyone help please. (I haven't installed the patch).
