Hello all, I've been looking for a good DC-3 and I found some good feedbacks on the UIVER's DC-2 model. Don't know why but the Just Flight DC-3 doesn't attract me much. I'd like to know your opinion about the DC-2 and if it is compatible with FSX SE. Thanks

Hey guys. Just coming back from almost a year off. Hope all has been good. Anyway, I had to do a reinstallation of Windows and I plan to now reinstall my FSX and get back into simming. However, I'm considering P3D v3. I have never used it but its newer and allegedly better than FSX with its graphics etc. However, I have many addons for FSX and from what Im reading they may not work as they will require a new installer. Should I just stick with good ole FSX like you guys? Are there any benefits of FSX over P3D?

Hello pilots, I have searched the forums before posting but couldn't find any results for my issue. Anways...my question is, is there a way to reduce the thickness of the AI airplanes lights? They are too thick as if they are some sort of UFO's..lol, anyway to make them look more realistic?? Thanks in advance.

Just wondering really, has anyone purchased the Steam ASN or Rex Direct. If so what do you think, loads of Ad On's now coming on Steam. Would be interesting to know how they work in terms of performance, smoothness and any problems that folks are having. Also on FSX Steam does big Ad On's like ASN or Rex automatically update or do you have to do it manually. Recently I bought a Gigabyte geforce 960 gtx. I was told Nvidea was working good with FSX. I have installed fsx and want to play the game on 3 monitors ( all 3 are Samsung SMB 2440.) I have cofigured Nvidea surround, bezel correction and my config is 6048 x 1080. I start FSX ( no addons) and i can only strech or play fulle screen. In full screen, my 4 th minitor connected,( Samsung smb 2220) is turning black. I can play the game, but if i go into a menu and choose a sub menu fsx stops with a tatal eror. I reinstalled FSX but have the same problem. In fsx i configger the display settings to 6048 x 1080. Can anybody help me out. Bouke Helder ​

Ok. There is a setting for FS9 and FSX in Nvidia Inspector. How about FSX-SE? OR! Is there another utility? Thanks Randy

Hi, I'm having a bit of an odd problem....FSX has been working fine for months but recently my AI has been reducing by itself. What I mean by this is I start off at any airport with full ai, and give it 30 seconds or so and it seems to reduce by about half, then the same again and then same until only around1 ai aircraft remains? I am checking this also by right clicking and seeing the list of ai aircraft getting much smaller, after starting off full. I use UT2 and WOAI and haven't had any issues. Has anyone got this wonderful little utility to work in Steam? Mine works in the box version of FSX but will not work in my Steam version. I even copied over my dll.xml file from the boxed version and I have to dll file in modules and it still will not work. Bonjour, I have, for the 737-800NGX, all my cameras defined. I can find the same definition also in "All Aicraft" in the camera management, but there is nothing displayed for the 737-800NGX WL. What does all aircraft mean exactly ? So.. how can I duplicate the 800NGX to the 800NGX WL easily (the export button is disable). Merci Cheers Claude

Just getting WOI AI 2.4 Traffic installed. Question. Lee Swordy had an AFCAD edit tool for FS9 that you could use to edit gate assignments to place airlines in their proper gates. Is there something similar for FSX? So far my KSEA scenery looks a bit like scrambled planes. Also which AFCAD BGL am I looking for to edit. Thanks Randy Admin. hi everybody, when I start FSX, with my new Multi Panel plugged in, I get a Microsoft Visual C++ Debug Library Message: Debug Error! Program : C.\FS\Microsoft FSX\fsx.exe DAMAGE: after normal Block (#160) at0x0A6A3C00. (Press Retry to debug the application) When I retry, I get this Microsoft Visual C++ Debug Library Message: Debug Assertion Failed! I know it is better to install FSX 10 in a separate drive and in a separate root folder. But my new Windows 10 8-GB laptop has only one drive. Should I install FSX in a different partition? Or just in the root of C:? Thanks.

Has anyone discovered if there is a way to keep FSX from dropping its audio when you switch focus to another program window? There are windows within FSX that you can undock and move to another monitor - since those are application windows though switching between them does not affect the focus. I'm talking about say, having an airport diagram open in another monitor in your PDF reader and needing to pan around the APD - as soon as you switch focus over to the PDF viewer FSX loses focus and thus, sound. It would be nice to keep the sound going - especially when you're trying to listen for ATC communication (even if you can have the ATC window open to see the text pop up).

I have had to reinstall fsx .. I find that my boxed copy of treescapes will not install i guess that it needs activating on line which of course is not possible, there seems to be a renewed interest in earth simulations judging by recent mail , however my boxed copy of guernsey installed with no problems, I dont want to bin it because it cost nearly £100. any help will be welcome frank cann

Hey guys. I'm looking for someone who could edit the .mdl file of James' and Jon's cargo DC-3. I'd like it to use the default DC-3 textures instead of the updated ones as I have around 20 repaints of the default Dak that use the clamshell door cargo model. If this is in the wrong spot please move it.

I was playing around and somehow changes to setting, because every time i reach TOD ATC never tell me to descend. Where can i change this?

I run FSX and P3Dv3 on separate drives in W7x64. I have OpusFSI installed on the same PC. I have configured Opus correctly as far as I can see, and the paths to the FSX and P3D folders are correct. When I load the program with FSX/P3D running with the plane at a parking spot, quite often the sky changes with new clouds, but the wind in the sim stays at 358/0. I can see from Spy that this wind value (and the barometer settings) are wrong but for some reason Opus is not transmitting the correct data to FSX/P3D. If I continue with the flight, sometimes the simulation picks up the correct wind speed/direction (and barometer settings) from Opus and maintains t…

I suppose in my old age I have gotten nostalgic, but I was recently thinking about the old Sublogic Title: "Flight Assignment ATP", which was around at about the same time Flight Simulator was developed. Despite the primative graphics, that program was way ahead of its time in that it consisted of a career path with progressive levels of difficulty, a "free flight" option, and a very comprehensive evaluation system in which evey flight was scored on the basis of airmanship, safety, navigation, and flight planning. Seems I can't get an answer from the group, Flight1, a group I paid money to buy their product, so I am trying Avsim. Registered on their support forum but no help. Flight1 Beechcraft B200 I've been using this aircraft with windows 10, boxed FSX and no problems since summer. Just rebuild my computer, and installed FSX SE. Turned off all anti-virus, made folder exceptions, downloaded the latest version, and installed. This was the only install that did not automatically find the FSX SE install directory. I tried doing everything in safe mode, used the suggested download manager, compatibility settings, folder ownership, nothing worked. No MFD, PFD, 2D panels.…

Im wondering why nearly all the aircraft developers do not include an actual co-pilot in their model. I have only ever found one aircraft that included a person occupying the co-pilot seat.. It is an Ants Aircraft - Eaglet trainer. Why not include a couple of passengers in the back as well. How many others think it would be better to have some cyber company. In future sims might it even be possible to have an option to paste an image of the users face onto the 'model' in the cockpit, especially in multiplayer mode for both pilot and co-pilot.

Afternoon friends.... Have enjoyed using Boxed FSX, the Steam Edition with EZCAD. With he development of the Steam edition and also the new P3D V3, EZDOK has released some newer versions.... Two strange things... 1. The latest version 1.18.7 compatible with both FSZ Steam and P3D V3. a. After installing per recomendations to be treated as the 1.18.5, When running config; After selecting P3D V3 from menu, the following prompt offers to config FSX Boxed or Steam... Is this a glitch?
