Hello all! Today I bring to the FSX community a nifty program that'll help you manage your aircraft. Overview: If you've ever used FSX with a lot of addon aircraft, you'll know that lag can be a problem. If only you could easily disable some aircraft while leaving others... That's exactly what this program will do! Once loaded up, it will scan your FSX SimObjects folder for aircraft, and then display them in a list, where you can then select them to be disabled/enabled in FSX. So I completed my first night flight since installing FSX:SE. First time using FSX in general. In FS9 night flying was fairly routine and easy. You could see the runway plenty far enough away to approach from a distance. Last night I was flying the RealAir Duke and getting used to the new plane and GTN750 GPS. Been away for 9 years so I'm readjusting so to speak. Anyhow I flew IFR out of a rainy area. Upon descent to the active ILS I was given the usual goofy vectors. Man FSX makes me mad sometimes. I was flying my Lufthansa mission in an A321, and it seems lately they want to throw me a curve ball by making me do a visual landing instead of letting me use the ils system. So I am coming in to Frankfurt and figure I will try the visual, but by the time I get the instructions to enter right base, I am already close to being on top of the runways, no time to turn and land. Anyway, I wish I could do gps appraoches and I would always have my own options to bring me in to the runways. Dear Reader, Sometimes when I land an aroplane in FSX (hasn't happen for helicopters yet) on some runways the aircraft sinks into the ground on touchdown after the flare, thus registering it as a crash. This happens even if all the landing preparations are completed and correct (speed, approach, flare, gear down & locked, flaps etc.). This happens mostly on manual landings, as this is how I make most of them, but has occurd on some autopiloted landings too and is increasing in occurance. Even if the landing is hard, surely the suspension in the gear should counter this and the aircraft not sink into the ground? Can anyone help/explain as to why this is ha…

Hope this is a proper place to post this question. I have been working and searching all day but to no avail. FMC will not find SIDs and STARs. AIRAC 1512 is there in 2 or 3 places and still FMC does not find it. I am using FSX-SE. I used the download manager for Navigraph so I'm assuming it would be in the right place. Does anyone know where FMC looks for that data? FMC CDU says it's using the current 1512 AIRAC.

I don't know about anyone else, but I have been finding the tip tank fuel warning popup window in the Lear 24 to be extremely annoying. It pops up at just the wrong time (short final). Does anyone know of a way to turn it off, other than having the tips empty. I know that's the purpose of it, but I don't always remember to empty them. Thanks! Russ

It seems like when I download one thing, I lose an existing one. I tried downloading Google Earth today and it wouldn't , later I fired up FSX and EZDOC didn't show, so I un-installed then tried re-installing. I did the security and compatability thing with administator rights and it won't open at all. I have Windows 10.

Hey! Is there anyone with WIN10 and a working EZDOK? I have bought it and sometimes it starts with FSX but most time not. The middle mouse button works sometimes but the most time not. Or it will work normally for some time but then the keyboard inputs will suddenly not working anymore. I think it is a great tool, but complete unusable at this time. I tried to re-download and re-install. All .exe are admins and I tried it with compatibility modes. I run the config.exe as admin before starting FSX as ADMIN. When it works and after a time not, it is useless to start it again. I tried also different versions, 1.15 and 1.17... i am desperate about this addon. …

I thought I'd try the steam edition of FSX recently so bought it during the recent sale. Have come back to FSX after some time using P3D. Installed FSX steam edition to my E (SSD) drive but FSX won't start - just keeps coming up with a warning box about not finding the fsx.cfg So I made an FSX folder as others suggested on Steam forum posts (it appears to be a known issue with some installations) and made a blank fsx.cfg. Now it says it can't find the scenery.cfg grrrr! Anyone with any idea as to what could have gone wrong with the installation? Would appreciate your help am a bit stumped. Thanks, Adam

Can anyone recommend a more realistic panel to use with a 727 for FSX? Like the TDS for example? Something with the original type autopilot specifically. And, if for TDS, what items need to be pulled from the TDS panel and put into the new one? Their documentation says this has to be done but doesn't say exactly what needs to be done. I had one for FS9 but never got it to work quite right with FSX. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

As topic suggested, was on take off roll was having difficultly in keeping the plane on centre line, but was slowly drifting to the left couldn't steer to the right back on centre line. Luckily I managed to lift off before leaving the rwy . On climbing raised the gear and flaps on schedule and found I had 3 green light and 3 amber lights on the gear annunciation panel. Read the emergency and abnormal manual on the gear issue and on closer examination I found the issue. Anyone can guess what it was?

Good evening all, Cannot figure this out. I keep having buildings go missing, complete texture loss on runways, vehicles. Also have knobs and switches missing in the PMDG 777, along with the PMDG 737. I tried the Highmem fix, UIAutocore. everything. I've seen this utility used on some videos and it looks really useful but I cant get it to run in the Steam editon. I have edited dll.xml using the instructions from the readme, copied the .DLL into the /modules folder. When I launch FSX it asks me to install the DLL and say yes to trusted but I dont see anything in the add ons drop down menu and the keyboard shortcuts dont do anything? Cheers Sid

Hi All, I currently have REX Essentials + Overdrive which I have had now for several years. I think this is a great product and looks incredible, but I do sometimes find the weather engine a bit frustrating, particularly with regard to the Wind Shift at high altitude which has been a MSFS engine issue for a long time. I have a registered copy of FSUIPC configured to correct this, which does do a reasonable job but I still can't completely eliminate them. I'm therefore looking to improve the weather depiction in the sim, and I've always read glowing reviews of Active Sky products. I purchased the lionheart learjet and am happy with it but am having issues with the autopilot. I ensure the inverters are on I click the switch to GPS I then set the altitude say to 5000 feet I set a gps route (using the direct to option) I then engage the Autopilot and the green light is on and GPS mode is on I hit the ALT key to maintain altitude but then it starts losing altitude rapidly?? What am I doing wrong?

I have been able to stop all of the annoying on-screen messages except one - the message that scrolls across the screen when you open and close the main aircraft exit. Is there any way to eliminate this message? Thanks Ian

Well, I am running fsx, and ezdok seems to work well, however when i run fsx from airhauler, ezdok will only work when fsx is unfocused. As I am writing this ezdok is changing views, however when i go into the fsx window it will stop working. Ezdok appears on the toolbar, and it is not disabled. anybody got any idea why this is happening

Hi, since the CS L-1011 only produces a CTD on my system whenever I try to load it and with no support from its supplier apart of wait till new installer is available, I am tempted to try the L-1011 Professional from Justflight.... Unfortunately I could not find reviews or videos on youtube and would like any users of the professional version if they can provide some feedback with regards to flying a heavy and system details rather than eye candy items.... any help appreciated gd day emann

I have just started to learn to fly pmdg 737 ngx, I have looked at some tutorials and seen an overhead HUD lowered down to do landing I cant find this on my set up, I have searched virtual cockpit, I cant find any switches, also in the cockpit the HUD does not even show, like it is missing do I need to turn this on first in set-up, cant seem to find information on this, even in manual it is not clear. can someone guide me how I can do this?

I have FSX-SE and I recently started downloading and installing freeware airports (mostly from this site's library). In doing the search under FSX scenery I noticed a lot of FS9 (FS2004) scenery listed under the FSX search. Is that to say I can install FS9 scenery into my FSX-SE? Is it done the same way? Once you're at cruise altitude things go a bit quiet (well, yes, that's true of real-world too, I know!). So if you are flying London to Singapore, how do you spend the time? Anyone actually stay glued to the sim for twelve hours? Or do you just leave it running and go down the pub for that (not so) swift half?
