Hello all. Tomorrow I will replace my EVGA Nvidia 750ti with a 970 GTX. This will be paired with an AMD 4.2 Vishera CPU and 8 gb of ram. I also will be instailling a Corsair 750watt PSU. So with that I want to crank it up a bit and get FSX looking more active and realistic. I am most excited to install ORBX textures. What would you all rec for me to install for AI traffic. Which is the best that doesn't use a lot of system resources? Thanks Tandy

Hello, since DSR came out , i´ve been using it successfully on Windows 7-64 and a 660TI, never had any issues. Unfortunately my Mobo died and i had to buy new hardware, also took the plunge and installed a fresh Windows 10. So now I´m running FSX-SE (alone) on Windows 10 with a GTX970 4GB. So far so good, to be honest everything works great and smooth, except for one thing : As mentioned i use FSX-SE in DX10 (Steves Fixer with same settings i had on Windows 7) combined with appropriate NVI settings and combined with DSR factor 4 and 33% smoothing, wich works great for me, the only annoying problem is that whenever i switch to fullscreen to enable DSR and move the …

I'm a FS9 user, not looking to start a war but just interested to know why people use FSX/P3D over FS9? Here is my situation. In the past I had a poor PC, no option but to stay with FS9 but no rush to upgrade because I actually wanted to stay with FS9. I have upgraded my PC for other games and gave FSX a run on the new PC. I could run it reasonably well, I could also afford to upgrade my CPU if I wished which would allow me to run it as good as anyone but I'm simply not interested at this point. I'm in need of a couple simple things.Something that lets me easily get to taxi speed and stay there. Autopilot is an option there, but I'd rather click a button and be done with it.Also, my keyboard lacks the ability to properly pushback and turn. I can pushback, but thanks to Logitech, they don't provide a num lock button and instead give me a calculator button for the little LCD. I know I've seen this around somewhere that allows you to properly set a pushback and turn, but can't remember from where.Thanks!

I've purchased many sceneries from IS, some had duel installers ( fs9 & fsx ) from simmarket. The problem is try to get the V2 updates. I've been sent a v2 updated installer with a password attached for for kclt. The problem is the pw opens the read me but not the installer. I've been trying with not much success for about three weeks. Had dell in fixing unrelated problems and had them try opening the installer. Not happening. Any suggestions would be helpful." When it comes to updating in a single INS configuration, because of fast misaligning (few minutes after takeoff to performance index 9) It seems to me that following the chapter "2 MANUAL POSITION UPDATING" in the Operations pdf is much easyier and faster than dme updating. Do I get it right or is there a big disadvantage in using manual updating? Thank you,

So yesterday I did my first flight with the MD-11 following the basic tutorial and everything was working ok except the landing but I'll get to that later on. I followed the same tutorial only did my own custom flight ( I did the same yesterday ) and immediately after take off I'm having an issue to which I don't know why. After 400ft I pressed the autoflight but the NAV2 indicator didn't engage and I was still flying towards a heading instead of the full autopilot. I did entered my own SID this time but I can't see how this would cause an issue. It is getting late but I still did another quick test. I have installed MyTraffic 6 and the new 6.0a beta update. This update was supposed to change the US Airways' A319 A320 A321 A332 A333 to the current American Airlines paint and callsign. However, when I go to Charlotte, a US Airways hub, I still see all the old US Airways colors for those types of planes, not American colors. The callsigns are also still Cactus. I've looked at the cfg files for those planes, and the texture files. Looks OK from what I can tell. Can someone tell me how the old colors and call sign can still be showing up, when there are no texture files that point to those colors?

It should be pretty easy but I have hard time to mantain good cruise speed - low consuption ratio. On takeoff and climb I keep prop lever on max, and since v/s is about 700ft/m, it burns too much fule up to cruise level. Yesterday I did a test, about 30nm circle around home airport, started at 46% fuel, ended the flight at 37%! 60% of the flight I was on 6000ft short cruise, trying to keep 105kts, but I could keep it only on full power and 75-80% prop. Katana doesn't have mixture control (which I find that quite unusual), and what is more strange, aircraft reacts to my mixture level changes on my Saitek quadrant! I am not a pilot, but have mainly flown GA planes like the Carenado and RealAir. I recently bought the Just Flight A320 which I have enjoyed, but would like something more challenging. My general question is which plane would have an easier learning curve: the Majestic Q400 or the PMDG 737 NGX. I know these planes are like comparing apples and oranges, but they seem to be the ones that interest me the most. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Hello Folks, Anyone having an issue with Ezdok version 1.18 upwards on Windows 10? I ask this as I keep getting FMGS.dll App crashes when using the DIR button on the Aerosoft AB. I also run EZCA and I noticed that when looking in the Windows Event Viewer as soon as I start up EZCA it generates an App Crash report even though it carried on working? I have uninstalled EZCA and tried the Bus without it and low and behold no FMGS crash at this time of writing even with the DIR being used. I have cleaned out the registry and put EZCA back on but alas straight away it reports an App Crash... Cannot live without EZCA I do not like the Aerosoft view system....any …

Hi, I have been a little out of the loop for a while on add ons, but I was watching a few YouTube videos and I am seeing graphics/atmosphere in lesser rigs that put my experience to shame. Yes, I have used a few of the guides for set up (NickN, AVSIM, Word Not Allowed...), but the colors and lighting are totally off. My current rig is about a year old, but I have not really put it through its paces. On my last system, I played around with Shade and ENB, but I have not installed either on the new system. Hi So I have used v1 of Oslo for some time now and have had no issues. I finally decided to upgrade to v2. I installed the software and it show up like Normal in my program files. When I run FS SE and load up Oslo it defaults to FTX Norways airport. I then looked at the install point and OSLO did not show up. When I first installed it I uninstalled v1 to place v2 on there. I have also now tried installing V1 and then V2 over the top of it and that doesn't aswell. It now just brings up v1 when I start up the sim. Any ideas?

In my case the problem was a new plane, the Carenado King Air, trying to shake itself apart at about 180 knots. I searched online to see if others had this problem, I checked the pdf manual, I looked at actual King Air documentation .... I applied the Carenado B200 patch ... I fiddled with prop synch and prop lever controls ... Nothing. Then I remembered Accufeel! It had set a default Vne for this plane of 180 knots. That wa the problem, it should be more like 259. I always forget about Accufeel, it is so seamless and works behind the scenes, you don't have to install it for each aircraft, the software does that automatically. I always thought KEGE had no ILS, just an LDA approach for 25. Now I see ILS runway 25 approaches showing up in my FMCs. But I can't find a single chart for it. Kinda strange. When did they add an ILS to this runway, and does anyone know where to find charts for this approach?

I want to add a new view to my aircraft that will cycle through my views, I'm prepared to skip one of the default views if I have to. The view I want is looking down, from the left hand seat to simulate scanning the ground in a VFR flight. It will also hel, on the left side for hovering in a chopper. I am new to FSX so I'm trying to figure out all the controls. Coming from X-Plane on a Mac I am still use to how things run from that side of the fence. One thing I love about X-Plane is the free look view with the mouse. You can use it to free look anywhere, either inside the cockpit or outside, etc. Is there an equivalent way to do this on FSX? I think I'm close. For my setup I am using an Xbox 360 controller to fly the plane, but I want to use the mouse solely for free look. Is this possible? I am noticing when using free look by holding down the spacebar and moving my mouse it works good. Almost like X-Plane, but after awhile my view gets reset. I'm not sure why i…
