Has anyone used FSX with a Spirent satellite simulator? We have a Spirent 7700 that we control remotely by sending it trajectory data. We use FSX as our trajectory generator. When we start any dynamics in FSX, even relatively benign, our GPS receivers lose track. We do not see this problem with FS 2004. We're wondering if anyone else has run into this, and if so, was there a fix?

Having FSX issues ever since I made the switch to Windows 10. Tried deleting my current CFG., no difference. I have the UIautomation core so that crash isn't the issue. Can't seem to figure out this problem but defiantly the fault of Windows 10. Really frustrating can't access FSrecorder due to this. It has no loading status bar and I cannot use the tool bar on circumstances without a black screen. Could really use some help.

Hello all, For years I have been annoyed by sudden, serious FPS-drops when taxying or landing/taking off at a number of payware airports. A healthy 30 FPS can go down as far as 9. At long last I recently found the culprit: the AFCAD file. Designers tend to use a lot of ‘dots’ when drawing junctions or crossings of taxiways, presumably aimed at making the movement of AI aircraft as elegant as possible. However, all those dots consume calculating power when you pass such a spot with your own aircraft, resulting in an irritating loss of FPS. I am a triple screen screen user looking to fix slow texture loads on FSX mountains and detailed scenery when using ORBX. I am using a single GTX 770 (2GB), so would like to know whether purchasing a new GPU like a 970 (4GB) would fix or greatly improve the.issue on my triple screen set-up. I have already tweaked the CFG with increased LOD and some other suggestions from users, but think I have probably pushed about as far as I can go with the 770. I am also using an i7 4770K CPU but cannot overlock on my Intel H87 board, so would the GPU upgrade be a worthwhile investment or should I save the money for a new PC? I'd be grateful for any advice!

Hi I had my fsx set up so when it started fsx was spread across the three monitors don't know what has happened but now when I start fsx it only is on the centre screen I have to drag the left and right edges so it displays over the three monitors, running in window mode.getting fed up having to change the position everytime I start fsx any help please. HI, Has anyone got an answer to my dilemma? I start FSX steam and load a flight it starts ok and I can hear it running. But it does not show up on my computer screen. After a couple of restarts it finally does show up. What can I do to stop this from happening as I’m getting very frustrated and don’t have a clue how to fix this problem. Thanks Jack

Does anyone have Taxi2Gate's MMPR airport(Puerta Vallarta)? I bought it origunally when I had FSX on my system as my main sim, but have since gone over to P3D v2. Despite using the EST Migration Tool, I just cannot get this airport to show up as the Taxi2Gate's website portrays. Have tried to contact their Support to see if there is a fix for this. Not heard from them. Their MMMX(Mexico City)also bought at the same time, works fine in P3D. Any help most welcome. Thanks.

Hey Pilots! This is an very anoying problem. I have to disable collisions from time to time because there is something that re-activates it from time to time... I notice it when I crash into something on taxi for example and have to restart and so on I could not say when this is happen the first time and what can cause this. Now I want to know if anyone has this problem too, and maybe a fix for it? Or it is one of the FSXisms that occur on one system and no other... Thank you!

I've spent the last 45 minutes trying to find some way to get support on steam to no avail so I thought I would ask here. I do some travel and like to have FSX steam edition on both my main home machine and a laptop for casual flying. I recently purchased several add ons through steam on my laptop and they don't show up as even available there yet everything is listed on the desktop machine! I'm stumped. I'm not logged in to both machines at the same time so that can't be the problem. I tried deleting the laptop content thinking it would refresh everything but the available download content only lists something I bought last January. Has anyone ever run into this? …

Currently and for a long time been using GEX,UTX,misc mesh and landclass..Very satisfied but now we have FTX Global vector,LC.Looked at all screen shots at FTX for Global,vector and lc.I did not see enough difference to make a change.I use FTX all scenery for Pacific NW and Misty Moorings .very happy with all.My question is for simplicity sake if I had to do another complete reinstall (Hopefully not)do I abandon GEX/UTX and invest in FTX Global etc and get the world?Assuming monetary considerations are not involved.I love Nick at GEX and all his support and UTX has always been great.I did not see enough difference in screen shots to make a switch,but starting from scratc…

hello not sure what the problem is here but when I enter my airport as vgzr and go into the DEP/ARR page to select a runway, there's nothing there... At the RTE page when I enter the origin airport as vgzr and runway as 14 it says not found in database.... not sure what the problem is here... in fsx-se when I select the vgzr airport I can see the runway 14 and 32 there... but in the fmc it says not found.. I'm using the airac 1504 and prosim cdu software. thanks

Strange. I do get the fps and other info on the top left screen, but I no longer get "simulation rate" visual cue on the top right of the screen when I am either increasing or decreasing the sim speed.. Any clues as to how I bring it up again? thanks tony

I was looking at my FSX.CFG file and saw this interesting detail. I installed a new EVGA Nvidia 970 GTX GPU in my PC yesterday. Why isn't the cfg recognizing it? How do I change this and will it causing any issues? I bought in Steam DLC Orbx Meigs Field. Installed and did some flights, so I made changes Orbx Control Panel. So KCGX no longer exists in FSX-SE, DLC removed and installed again, but nothing KCGX. Also performed checks integrity of FSX-SE files without positive result. I find the airport in DLC files folder, Orbx control panel has all marked options. I noticed that in scenery.cfg there is no entry for the airport. Anyone know any solution? thank you João Alfredo

I believe World of AI can be used with FSX Steam edition, can someone advise if there are any setup instructions for steam version? i.e. what path do you need to use and also do you have to convert any files as Ive read on some forums some forums you need to convert FS9 flight plans to FSX flight plans ?

Hi all, I am new here, and hope to find an answer to my question. Last week I flew a real Boeing 737 simulator in Aalsmeer, Holland. (Near Schiphol, EHAM) My instructor tested the flight controls befor take off, and you could see if they were working correctly on one of the displays by moving the steering column up/down and left/right. Is this test also possible in PMDG 737? I tried hard to find it, bus without success. Hope someone can help me. Thx in advance. Frans.

I am having a big problem with my FSX-SE setup. 1. I am seeing strips of odd textured terrain world wide. The strips are like large parallel mismatched textures. These are blocked in what looks like 1 to 5 square mile areas. 2. There are a pile of trees and buildings in many water areas. 3. There are many lakes popping up in area that should not have water. I have installed from Steam FSX-SE, Greenland Nook, Lukla, ASN. I have also installed A2A C172, 38 Simaddons airports, Flight1 UTX Canada V2. ORBX Iceland Global/Vector/LC demo. I am really getting annoyed on those VR insight poeple now1 My problem is that my sped knob and the (10 20 40 80 160 320) knob thing is not really working properly atm. It just jump in number for example 143 to 158 to 190 back to 110 and up and down! Please can any one know how to fix this?

I've just installed PMDG 737 NGX on FSX. It installed OK but when I go to V/C cockpit view. Most of the labelling on the control panel are blurred. They are not blurred in the normal full screen view. Is this normal, if not can I fix it? Peter Sydney Australia i7 670 Nvidia 970 Solved! Thx!
