I somehow have created a situation where I can no longer mouse zoom in windowed or full screen mode. In windowed mode, I can pan around when holding the space bar, but the mouse zoom does not work. In full screen mode, I can neither pan nor zoom with the mouse when pressing the space bar. However, if I​ go to mouse look mode, shift+O, then I have full pan function in windowed and full screen mode. I have Opus installed, but I have never deliberately setup any cameras or views with that utility. Any ideas on how to get back to default function where I can press the space bar and pan/zoom in any window mode? Thanks

Folks, I need a favor from a saavy BGL editor- As far as I know, I cannot edit BGL files because Steam does not include the compiler. The favor I ask is for someone to take the AVSIM file library KPIT FSX (kpit_ade_rs_fsx.zip) and fix the runway usages. As this file sits, it appears that 10L / C / R are setup as the primary runways, and 28 L C R are the secondary. In reality, 28 L / C / R are the primary runways. They are used and preferred unless the tailwind goes over 5 knots I believe. Also, 10 / 28 C is only used for takeoffs when demand is high... never landings. Also, 32 is only used for landings when necessary, and 14 is only used for takeoffs when necessary…

Interestingly I've been flying fsx for a ton of time, never went to Ottawa. Have been exploring eastern points lately. I have UTX, FTX Global for this area. Flying around Ottawa I can not see any of the distinctive landmarks. Are the Canadian Parliament buildings supposed to be represented? Bryan

Hello I own Skydemon and would like to connect it to FSX. I feel sure I did it years ago but I can't remember how. I bought FSUIPC hoping that would help but no joy. Clearly I need help. I'm considering OPUS software but I just want to be certain it's going to work before throwing more money away. I just need it for Skydemon not everything else it comes with. Many thanks!

I am learning how to use EZDOK. In addition to the EZDOK aircraft views, I would like to use the FSX locked spot view which would enable me to pan around the aircraft. In a testing mode (via the options, settings, controls) I have assigned the "Locked Spot View" to a key. When I hit the key, I can use my joystick hat to move around the aircraft, also the normal keys to zoom in and out, but I can't use the joystick hat to move up and down. Any ideas of how to get this to work?

Hi All, When flying a FMC flight with vnav and a certain altitude is set, say going from 21000 to 17000, does the ALT SEL have to be set to descend to 17000 or does the FMC control the descent without the ALT SET having to be set in the autopilot. In other words, does one take priority over the other? Have always been a little fuzzy on this. Thanks for any guidance on this. Jim

Hi - I think I may have accidentally set a camera view that prevents my mouse wheel from zooming when I press the space bar. I can pan around, but I cannot zoom. When I press Shift+O I can zoom with the mouse and pan. If I accidentally did this through OPUSFSX, how can I return to the default FSX setting? Thanks, S. Robinson

Hi I have windows 10, FSX and FSBuild When I create a plan with FSBuild (following all the correct procedures) the exported plan is saved in the below directory: C:\Users\Stelios\ApplData\Local\virtual store\Program files(x86)\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator x\PMDG\FLIGHTPLANS Because of the I am unable to load it with the PMDG planes. In the Option settings of FSBulid Export Directories it is correctly set to FSX. Why is that? Stelios

Lately I have ben experiencing long loading times of FSX on my system. After I double clock the Icon on my desktop and the splash screen opens it takes time, then it stops for over 10 seconds at 6% and makes various stops before actually getting to 100% and ending on my default flight, I have unticked and ticked different sceneries i have installed to see if any are causing this, but have concluded that it isn't a scenery issue... Any ideas anyone? Berlopez

Hi I have a problem installing fsx it seems that every time I attempt to install fsx I get a popup error 1310 stating.... verify path directory for sim-connect. I tried just about everything by deleting remaining folders and files left over from previous installs I even looked on line but didn't see anything worth trying. At this point don't know what else to do can anyone please help I just got my CPU rebuilt ready and powerful enough to take on a game that gives you migraines but we still manage to love : (

We have tried to share cockpit using the built-in 'Shared Cockpit' facility which appears in both FSX-MS and in FSX-SE. So far it seems that it only works if both users are using the same edition of FSX - i.e. it does not work if one user is on FSX-MS and the other is on FSX-SE. My first question is: is this correct, or are we doing something wrong? On all occasions we were using a default Cessna 172 aircraft simulation. If it is indeed the case that sharing cockpit does not work between these two platforms, do STEAM have any plans to change this in the future? Lastly - is there a work-around which will enable the cockpit sharing facility to work across these …

Hiya Was looking to add a bit more movement in the skies and around the airports,so decided to get traffic 360. It claims,as do users that the fps drop is negligible, well,not based on my quick experience. With ai traffic set to 40% normal and 10% ga aircraft, I get about a 50% fps hit. Even at those settings,landing at Gatwick during the day there was not one plane ready for take off or any landing in front of behind me. So absolutely no point in reducing the % Any ideas what I can do or is it just not going to work? Thanks Paul

I was wondering if anyone had success integrating the Mindstar GNS into the RealAir Duke B60 or Twin Turbo? I've been able to integrate it visually, but the VC gauge cannot popup the 2D window via mouse click though I am fairly certain the 5th parameter idents are correct. Yesterday I completed 4 flights, all without incident. This morning, I fired up FSX:SE to take on a KSAN-KMIA route and when I loaded into KSAN there was no PMDG 737, and no buildings, but still sound and I could switch views. Only the base layer of photoscenery for the airport was showing, and a black sky. I also tried switching planes to both other addons and default, same for airports, and got the same result. I run in DX10 mode with Steve's DX10 Fixer, and it has been flawless for over a year I use many addons but not sure if they are the problem: ASN REX Essentials + OD LatinVFR KSAN Flightbeam Airports FSDT Airports Taxi2Gate Airports PMDG NGX PMD…

Maybe someone can help.. Today I discovered that my Default flightplanner takes about 400 mb VAS just by clicking on it, not even load a flight.. Example : Holding at gate- go to the menu bare and click flightplanner, the return to game again-- 400 mb VAS is away, not even loaded a plan ???

After two years of using only default airports with updated AFCADs, I've decided to purchase Aerosoft's Zurich v2, and after testing the conclusion is surprising - this addon used only 100-200mb more VAS and fps is lower by only 15% than on default LSZH. That finding left me hungry for more, so I bought FlyTampa's Copenhagen two weeks later. Now my FSX setup looks like this - FTX Global + OpenLC EU + Vector + MyTraffic 6 @ 30% + Soft Clouds + FSGRW + DX10 with the Fixer (a bit more VAS to spare). Hi, Just recently purchased a new computer, i7 , SSD and all the goodies. In my old machine I have a 112GB of FSX "material" and I wonder if there is a way to "transfer" all of this to the new computer without too much hassle. I have experimented with this quite a bit by now (just moved the whole thing into the new computer via network in a copy-paste manner) but since then only troubles of different kind are showing up. So, before I go the long way any suggestions that may help? Is creating an image (ACRONIS for example) and spilling everything back into the new one, will do the trick? Thanks Benny

Hi,I've noticed that some AI planes get stuck when they enter pre or post flight support. Arrivals - A plane taxies to the the gate and the jetway meets it but the baggage truck does not move. The plane then according to the traffic toolbox stays on post-flight support for ever and never enters 'sleep'.Departures - The baggage truck never moves to the plane and the plane never leaves. The traffic toolbox says it is on 'preflight support'. I've noticed this with a variety of aircraft models (both Ultimate Traffic and WOAI). However when I turn the airport ground vehicles off it never happens - all planes leave and arrive correctly. However I like having the airport …

I'm having an issue with FSX Steam that is getting pretty annoying. At times, when the game loads and plays a sound file, it freezes for about 1 second. For example, when I am landing and the gear touch, the game freezes, then the sound plays, and then it is fine. Sometimes, the delay is enough that by the time it's done freezing, my nose wheel slams into the ground. It also happens when the FSX ATC speaks, and on missions when there are voices. However, it doesn't happen all the time, so I am not sure what to blame the issue on. Has anyone else had this problem, and did you ever solve it?

Hi, I'm currently using Flight Beam KIAD and when selecting Sid/Star report in the Opus Reports, no data is available. Is there a setting somewhere that I need to update? I did a search but only could find something related to Opus FSI (I guess since it mentioned the Opus FP option). Thanks Bill

Does it matter what sequence you start add-ons when running FSX with an AffinityMask and CPU HT on? I've read hundreds of (confusing) discussions on AffinityMask and hyperthreading on current high end processors. I currently have my AF set to 244 on my system: I7-4790K, ASUS Z97 Gamer, set to ASUS Optimal OC ~4.32GHz GTX970 500GB SSD with WIN 8.1 & FSX core software installed on it, everything else on a 1TB HDD I install REX4 TD SC textures then run ASN and FSX Flight (for ForeFlight) and Pilot Edge client, starting in that order, then I start FSX.
