Hello, My name is Brandon, aka "Pinncom2016" and I am a flight simmer. I am apart a small community of enthusiast who all enjoy flying. Mostly online with others and in the real world. A few years back, I was homeless. I did not know where my next meal was going to come from, living out of my car and moving from shelter to shelter just to keep warm for the winter. Guys, I need your advice! I just purchased a Samsung SSD Evo Pro 512 GB specifically for windows 7 and for flightsim, however I'm really confused which Sim i am going to install. I am in between FSX SE and P3D V3.1. Now my specs are Sandy Bridge I7 2600K 3.4 Ghz, 16GB RAM, EVGA GTX OC 2GB DDR5. My question is which of the 2 flight simulators are stable? I know FSX would be much easier for addons etc, however with regards to P3D IF i should buy it what is the difference between P3D and FSX? Is it more stable then FSX? and if yes what is the difference between the Academic and Professional lisence? Thanks Justin

I just installed FSX on my new computer and everything was working great until all of a sudden I cannot get any aircraft to accelerate to take off speed. Just extremely slow, if I take off there is not enough power and they stall. This just popped up out of nowhere. I have tried everything I can think of and nothing works. Can anyone help me??

Has anyone tried running Reality Sim Scenery - Seattle on FSX? It looks good, but I wonder how it will run on FSX/ FSX SE? Is it a frame and VAS killer?

I have just moved over to FSX after using FS9 for nearly 10 years. I do not want to start a tread that others have previously started, but after reading, researching on this Forum, online, tutorials I am really at a loss with FSX, and I considered myself to know a reasonable amount with what works in MSFS and what doesn't. The issue is not new and covered many times before, moving from FS9 to FSX is such a drop in performance. And I have not moved all the setting sliders to the rights as I had in FS9 and I have no AI traffic yet installed. I wonder if this is a sign that the new DoveTail Games Flight Simulator will finally get some attention in the form of news or something. Hi, Aerosoft apparently released it's MultiCrew Update for it's Airbus series. I've seen some streams, where this feature was presented. I am now wondering whether this would be possible for PMDG products too? I know this question has been asked a couple of times in the past, however I am wondering whether a change in technology occurred, so it might now be possible. Would be too nice, seeing this feature in one of the PMDG's aircraft. Sorry, I wouldn't ask this, because it's been discussed all the time, but now I can see a bit of sun light again :-)

I'm having problems with FSRT titled error 9 but used the program yesterday and had no problems . I turned off the PC and today came this problem . Has anyone ever had and know how to solve ?

I'm using the EZDOC Version 1.18. It was working before , but now in FSX when I go to drop down, EZDOC drops down but the window is not showing. I can't make cameras without it.

Hi Guys, I have a few quick questions, I'm running a Cessna cockpit with three screens, a 42" Sharp TV for my forward monitor and two 27" BenQ side monitors all at 1920X1080. My forward view zoom is set at 0.56 on the 42" Sharp and the only way to scale things to match for the two 27" side monitors is to set the zoom to 0.80 to have everything the same scale and size (airport buildings, other planes etc...) is this normal? Can anyone else share their zoom settings for a three view cockpit setup? Note: I am not using NVidia surround, these are all 1920X1080 single monitor views... Thanks, Sam

I've had a problem recently where at certain intervals during a flight, FSX will spontaneously switch from the full screen in to the windowed mode. I swear this must be related to a program updating in the background and I suspect ASN (only program that I regularly run with FSX), However, I can't for the life of me figure out exactly what it is. I've been through all of the ASN settings and can't seem to find anything that sounds like the culprit form the descriptions. Any ideas of suggestions? Thanks for any help.

Simple question, but I'm thinking of moving away from UT2 towards world of AI to both 1) get some more cargo stuff in there and 2) populate my airports in a more targeted and hopefully efficient manner (i.e., really only need SWA and Delta and a place like MDW). I remember way back when all their flight plans/AI files were in FS9 format and caused some troubles if not converted to FSX. However, this was probably 5-6 years ago. Is this still the case or are they updated?

I'm looking at buying a payware Cessna 441 for FSX use. The two packages I am aware of right now are from Flight1 and Flysimware. Are there others? I've read reviews of both of the above offerings here and elsewhere as "stand alone" reviews and both seem to be well-modelled and appropriately priced. However, I haven't seen any direct comparisons between the two packages. Has anyone flown both and what are your opinions on them?

A friend has been hosting a multiplayer flight and both of us have been flying the PMDG 737 NGX planes. My friend was able to tune and recieve the ATIS on the COM radios for the starting airport. Both of us tune the ATIS for the landing airport and neither of us relieved it. We double checked the freq. and they were right. This is not the first time that this has happen. We were able to tune and recieve the ILS signals on the NAV radios. We are using the Box version of FSX. The radios work correctly when flying in free flight.

Hello! I have a problem with my Aerosoft Airbus x. When i come into the cockpit the screens in front of me are weird and the mcdu on both sides are very blurry. Can someone please help me? -Johannes

Hi there, I use FSX-SE and I have a lot of scenary with multiple jetways or in Imaginesim WSSS no jetways work without AES. I know on FSX-ME AES will let you connect more than one jetway and I bought 10 credits for it but from what I can tell around there is NO way to get that to work... If there is a non-offical way I would love to know, if not are there any other addons or tricks I can do to get this to work. Thanks, Leighton

I have to admit. Yeah..... have the computer and FSX just the way I like it right now, and waiting anxiously for my first real flight. Not just the look see to check texture quality, or Functionality of this New Version of Flight Sim (New to me). But Good Golly its damn near impossible to fly with a mouse.... LOL. Im so glad that Cherokee that I flew on a lesson didn't have a mouse, or I would have never made the left turn at the railroad tracks after departure from Mettetal airport. When it is already loaded and choose the flight that I do, often to load the flight the plane will not load at all if for example I put the outside view.It is shown for example only the shade and the windows ... sometimes the entire plane but without wheels and so a variety of options. Sometimes what it is not shown full airport, such as the absence of fingers. I'm confused on how to use ILS landing. I've watched a bunch of youtube video's, I understand how to use most of the controls. I have a problem with the ILS not guiding me to the runway and I'm sure it's because of a frequency issue. What am I supposed to enter into Nav1 when the assigned runway I am to land on is a frequency of 111.75 but the radio will only allow me to go to 111.50 or 111.100 and there's nothing in between, is this why the plane never intercepts the guide slope? How do you put the right frequency in if it's impossible to dial it in?

I don't know what is causing this. Has anyone seen this before? It's like the stratosphere is a darker blue or something. As a Reminder to Everyone ... Prepar3D v3.1 Problems There is a problem in the Lockheed Martin PDK in version 3.1 which makes it unable to accept 6DOF (eye point) controls in all 'Custom' view modes. This means, until LM fix the problem, it is not possible to control the eye point and initialise any External Aircraft views. We have posted the details of the 3.1 problems on their forum, that's all we can do as they removed any other means for developers to report problems many months ago. The SimConnect 6DOF controls still work fine, it just effects their PDK interface. My advice is to stick with P3D v3.0 until such time as LM can fix the bug and re-release v3.…
