Hi Does Opus interact with the default ATC, ie does the ATC provide the correct runway to land on according to Opus's wind direction? Many thanks.

One of my favorite things about the Aerosoft Airbus package is the option to have ATC sounds play. I mostly fly the PMDG 737 and 777, and their sound sets are of course very good, but I want the ATC sounds like the Aerosoft Airbus. Are there any addons that do this? The only sound enhancement addon I know of is Accu-Feel, but that doesn't add any ATC sounds.

Folks..I have several times attempted to originate a flight and/or fly into the area of the United Arab Emirates: OMAA or OMDB and get that infamous "Fatal error has occurred Microsoft Flight Simulator X is restarting" Thinking I had a corrupted freeware scenery (normally i never do) I removed it to the default scenery and still..got the "fatal error message". I've only had this particular area mess up on me... Any tips or has anyone experienced similar issue? I have the UIAutomationCore.dll..installed correctly..(this was based on suggestions to my problem, however, "NO WORKEE") Any input...welcome.. Respectfully, Chris

Hi, I am trying to figure out which of these options looks the closest to real life. I did buy P3D, but my PC couldn't run it smoothly so I had to revert back to FSX. Right now I am using it with ENB. In your opinion, please rate it from 1-5, 1 being the most realistic and 5 being the least. Default FSX FSX with ENB (state which ENB) FSX with a mod (state which mod) FSX with DX10 FSX with DX10 fixer Which one looks closest to real life? I'm having a hard time figuring it out.

I hope this is the correct forum! I am trying to find info on when to use the NAV button flying the Learjet 45. Any help or reference would be greatly appreciated.

Everything I try to get closer to the real rhing, ATC starts nagging. Turn left, turn right, climb, descend. I used iFMS, the Honeywell fms gauge to calculate vnav, and lnav, and ATC won't even let me fly those routes. So I end up shutting it off. "Recalculating, turn left at the next intersection " BUT I DON'T WANT TO GO TO THE DENTIST! I'M GOING TO MY BROTHERS! "Recalculating". I think it's time to consider an ATC addon.

Hello everyone, I'm looking troobleshooting for a really annyoing issue I came across, part of the ground is generated as white tiles, lowering the appereance of the scenery A LOT. I've got a screenshot here: I have installed the FS genesis - World Terrain Mesh for FSX (I don't think that this is the cause, just pointing it out) The location of the screenshot above is LGKR airport. The white tiles appear here and there all the time, and It has become really annoying. (It's not only this airport which is infested) Again, any troobleshooting is welcomed. Thanks in advance.

Hello ! I have just purchased FireFighterX, for which I have installed Milton Shupe’s TurboFirecat. Surprisingly I am getting below-par FPS compared to the planes I usually fly (30 fps with my beloved Virtavia BN-2 above OrbX PNW). This add-on is a FS9 port-over, and now I remember I had the same issue with his Dash7. So I’d like to ask if such performance drops are usual with port-overs? Is there a trick to prevent them? Any help will be appreciated!

I have spent hours trying to purchase fsx steam edition from the steam store, and have yet to be able to take my cart to checkout and pay for the product. I know a lot of folks will be eager to respond by telling me I should be seeking help from steam, not from this forum. That is what I have spent all those hours on so far. I have been able to get lots of forms to fill out, lots of drop down menus with topics I'm supposed to choose from, and so forth. None of the menus listed the problem i am having, so they were no help. I just hoped that some people here might be able to tell me how to navigate that store and actually make a purchase from it. I wonder if anyone has experienced the odd problem that has appeared for me out of nowhere? Suddenly my camera views have become messed up. Cycling through A and S keys has changed sequence and perspectives completely. I have a Saitek Cessna yoke and all button assignments have been switched around. Furthermore, when I go in to settings and change them back they will not save and revert back to the wrong ones again. I am running EZDOK and have used it superbly for years. Hiya I am sure it can be done, but I don't know how. I fly mostly my Aerosoft Airbus but currently, the only way to change the Autopilot speed is to use the mouse. Is there a way of mapping a joystick buttons to increase/decrease AP speed using FSUIPC? Many thanks Paul

I don't know if this is the proper forum to ask this question but thought I'd try. I recently installed Taxi2Gate KSEA in FSX. The visuals are great but when I start to setup a free flight from KSEA and chose a runway, only the old left or right runways are available which seems to indicate that FSX is reading an old afcad. The product appears to be activated and is shown in the add-on scenery list at the top. I did notice that when I installed the product, it seemed to self-activate but I have also attempted to reactivate it but the system said it was installed. I seem to be having a problem with my zoom. When I initially use the +/- on the keyboard it works but then it wont. If I change views it works initially and then it doesn't so I have to keep changing with the mouse which then after so many clicks fsx has a CTD. I already tried the File drop that I read about but it still crashes so you can see my concern with the zoom. I have tried using the default A and S for views to try and get it to work but still doesn't fix the problem.

I don't know what happened and has never before done this but my water is land in KSFO HD. I have no UTX or anything like that. Is there a fix for this. I did have fsx sp2 installed when I installed but then Uninstaller sp2 and installed acceleration.

For some reason, I've got trees all over the place at Edwards AFB - KEDW (Stock Airport). On the tarmac, runways, and taxiways. Does anyone know how to get rid of these? I am wondering whether there are specific requirements that need to be met when planning a random route? After some web searches, I can only find a few restrictions for non-GNSS equipped aircrafts. Is there any general rule I need to worry about, when flying in a airliner like 777?

I'd like to view and compare the relative sizes for all planes installed in FSX. It would be nice to have them parked side by side to each other as static display as I taxi down the runaway in another plane. I asked this question sometime back but at that time I don't think it was possible. I'm wondering and hoping that something new has been developed since then or some method discovered to do that. I need to blast off to space. LOL I'm looking for a military jet, preferably payware or free, doesn't matter that would allow me to climb really high, like above 70k msl, etc or even higher. anything out there like that? I don't need the guns/radar stuff so much .. I just want to take off and head for the stars and to see all my great scenery from really high up.

Hi All, I encounter a very strange problem in FSX (SP2): The throttle "all of a sudden" has a minimum around 40%N1. Even after a fresh start of the engines each one goes up to approx. 40%N1, and it's not possible to set it lower (levers or F1 similar). This strange effect shows on every aircraft and on every airport, and it seems to be independent from effects and gauges folders (I temporarily removed them for the test flights) as well as from "fsx.cfg" (I temporarily used an alternative one). Has anyone of you guys ever heard of such an error? I don't have a clue what would make sense to check next... Any advice highly appreciated! Thank you Mick

I have rex essentials plus and TD4 which one do you think has better water textures? I am using REX ESS waves as sparkling which looks the best so far for me but I am trying to decide if I should use the water textures with REX TD4 or REX ESS.
