I just started flying this plane and I love it. There is a little bit of a lack of information out there, so I have a few questions in the hopes that there are some experienced DuKe Turbine drivers out there. enroute from KMIC to KCMI this weekend, I suffered a right engine failure. I didn't have the oil doors open because I was in cruise @ FL290, and I wasn't paying attention to the oil temps (thought they only had to be watched on climb out at slow speeds). Hi. I have big fuzzy lights on triple monitor setup. Lights are fine if run FSX on one monitor but across three either full screen or expanded windowed view lights are too big. I used to be able to fix it applying TripleHead2Go lights in REX 4 texture direct, but after recent FSX re-installation this trick does not work anymore. I found this advice but it does not work for some reason, may be bc I have Steam, not sure. Hi all. I'm having a blast with the Manfred Jahn C47. I have a problem i think, i can get the payload manager to work. For example, i hover with the mouse over the Total Fuel, I use the scroll wheel to select PETTERN and press the middle click of the mouse, but the fuel load don't change. The same with the Total Payload option. I'm on the ground with battery off, parking breaks on.. What i'm missing? Did not find anything on the readme. Thanks !

Over the months and years we all collect and purchase a wide variety of add-ons. They sometimes are not what we expect. Maybe it was an unproven developer, bugs, too high a price, or just an awful product! What was your least favourite add-on maybe you have more than one? Hi! I have a strange problem with my iFly 737 FSX. I am accustomed to the PMDG and I am sure the FMC is programmed correctly. However, when engaging LNAV and the airplane comes to bank left or right, it banks way too much, so then it compensates by banking way to much to the opposite side. This is what I mean in the title by not following LVAV exactly. Anyone experienced this ? PMDG flies pinpoint on the route

I often wonder will we ever see the Piper PA-E23 Aztec being developed for FSX? This was one of the most prolific light twins in use during the 60s, 70s and 80s and was produced in thousands. It was widely used both privately and as an air taxi aircraft and had a very good short field performance. As far as I can recollect a freeware version was produced for FS9 but a quality free- or payware version has never appeared. I'm sure many of us older simmers will have flown this in the real world and I think this would be a very good seller should anyone develop it. Evening friends.... Noticed some strange behavior and I have searched the Net and seems to be void of this issue.... Trying to refresh my fsx.cfg, I saved it and restarted fsx so I could edit the default from scratch... For some reason, upon exiting fsx, it would save my fsx.cfg to fsx.cfg.tmp and upon starting fsx again, the latest saved version was gone. It loaded up its own without my last changes.... I cant seem to kick this problem. Opened the directory with the fsx.cfg that was saved after exiting.... so far so good. It was there. But noticed that the fsx.cfg date and time stamp changed, as it should, when fsx started again..... However, all my changes…

I've installed FSX Gold Edition on two different Windows 10 pc's and they both act the same way. On first start up after the install, the program takes me through a demo and then I exit out on the program. I have verified that the program is indeed installed on the pc but I can't find the start up icon anywhere!! I have a Windows 7 pc running the same FSX with no problems. I'm new to this site so I hope I'm posting this in the right place. I keep getting the following error when I start FSX: Scenery.Config file error Invalid remote path in scenery area 116. click OK to continue. When i click OK FSX starts but I want to get rid of this error as it comes up every time I start FSX. When I look up scenery area 116 in the scenery.config it says as follows: [Area.116] Title= Istanbul Local=116 Active=True Required=True I guess the problem is the path how do I correct this. I wonder if this is an ASN thing - but - whenever I fly over mountains (e.g. the Alps) I get a shimmering/reflection/anomoly at the point where the cloud meets the mountainside. Is anyone else seeing this and - more importantly - is there a solution? Regards,

Hello I am trying to get to grips with the iFly 747-400 FMC. In FSX. Can some one please explain how to increase the Thrust limit on Takeoff. Mine has a default setting of 89.6 and I cannot get it to change. I was hoping to set it around 104.5. The Aircraft is fully loaded and full of fuel Flaps set to 20 GR set 785.3 Fuel set 367.4 ZFW in small letters 417.8 Reserves 9.9 Cost Index 50 One other thing, The Autopilot Speed, Heading, and Altitude will not change. There is a caution, warning lamp on. But no Red lines on the EICAS As you can tell I need Help. (Yes I have read most of the Manual) Thank You Corrie

I know this topic has been discussed before, but I am unable to find an answer. Very often the fuselage of active and static aircraft is completely transparent. I have a good system with a i7 4790 4.0 ghz, a EVGA Gforce GTX 960 2GB card, and 8GB of ram. Any thoughts on a fix?

Hi guys, So whenever I'm over a significantly big mass of water, and I look straight or below, my FPS drops down by more than half (while if I look up to the sky my fps increases to 29-30fps Locked.) I had REXTextureDirect installed before this so I thought it may have caused this, but after reverting to default waters, the problem still persists. I also have DX10 fixer installed, should I mess with those settings also. Thanks!

I am currently doing a flight from Alert (CYLT) on the Northern end of Ellismere Island in Canada, the world's Northernmost airport, to Lonyearbyen in Spitsbergen. The route goes over the Northern tip of Greenland, the most Northern longitude I reach is 83 degrees North, and only towards the end do I descend South of 80 degrees North. I have winter season set (February), and indeed I have a Polar night with only a bit of sun peaking over the horizon very far away. In the real world most - and usually - all of that part of the world is covered by ice. However, in FSX, the Arctic Ocean shows as water. Very unrealistic. Is there anything that can be done about that? …

I've been looking at the Milviz F-4J/S a bit recently, but am wondering on what the feedback on this one is like. The reviews I've seen are generally favorable, but look more at the early release of the F-4E. I assume the F-4J/S is very similar, but at that these were reviews of earlier releases of the F-4E I think. In particular my interests are 1) systems depth and 2) flight model (particularly low speed behind the boat). The only 2 military aircraft I have kept around much have been the VRS F/A-18E and Aerosoft F-14X to give an idea of the depth and realism I am hoping looking at here. Hi everyone, I am a total Newbie to Avsim and would be extremely grateful if any Gurus out there could help me with an issue that has been stressing me for ages. No matter what I try I am unable to get any display setting higher that 1920x1080x16 in the FSX customise settings panel. I find this odd as I thought my components although old(ish) would be decent enough to run at 1920x1080x32. I have provided the following info from Speccy and added in the ATI driver details. I cannot seem to be able to find any reviews of this addon and I just wondered how does it perform? I note that, although a relatively small airport, it is a 4GB installation and some other large Aerosoft addons have caused some VAS issues for me in the past. Feedback from any users would be appreciated. Bill
