Hello All Been simming now for a little over a year and a brand new member of the Forum (2nd day). Running a few of the Orbx line of products with good success. My preference is piston driven craft, particularly WW II (showing my age here), my all time favourite being A2A B-17G with Accusim which I repainted to commemorate my father-in-law's a/c Rikki-Tikki-Tavi II that flew out of AAF Base 117 in Kimbolton U.K. Enough of the intro. I recently downloaded and installed the Duxford airfield (including the Airshow add on) from the AVSIM library. The field and all buildings show up beautifully, but none of the AI traffic appears. Hi guys! I'm not exactly new, mostly been a lurker here and there researching lots, but by no means a new Flight-Sim'er. Big time commercial/large jet enthusiast, but no professional at all. But I seek all of you for your assistance! After lots of reading/research and trial and error, I have my FSX running beautifully, except for one minor issue. Hello all, I recently decided to do a clean Windows install on my PC and now I am asking, whether to install the MS FSX or the FSX-Steam version for my new installation. Previously I only used the MS Gold (I own the Steam version though) and was neither happy nor unhappy and now I am not sure which version works better at the moment. I'm on Windows 10, my addons I will reinstall are: -OrbX Global -OrbX OpenLC Europe -ASN -GSX -PMDG 737 NGX -UT2 -Some smaller scenery/aircraft addons Is it advised to install the Steam Edition as it is newer and potentially still getting updates or is the MS version working better with the addons? Can anyone help with the correct settings in FSUIPC for Pitch Control with the PFC Throttle Quadrant? I've tried deleting axis', manually inputting values into the FSUIPC.ini, etc. and I can't get the travel correct for either axis or configured for the stops and feather. Any help would be appreciated.....I'm close to pulling what little hair I have out! I have Throttle 1, 2 and Mixture 1,2 configured correctly but for some reason PItch won't work correctly.

There are some clips in the link above where the camera is looking out over the nose from inside the cockpit. Does anyone know of software which would allow a user to record this view during a flight but what the user actually sees is the normal VC view. Hi, I currently use Ultimate traffic two and there is an annoying issue that I've come across. First there are only general aviation aircraft, even when I change the schedule to weekly and install everything.2 in the actual desktop app there is nothing that says commercial aircraft when I open it up. 4 when I use vatsim and try to match the models up without, I get about 10,000 errors. In the Ifly737 (737-800) I can't see the wings from the cockpit. In the pmdg 737-800 tho I can. Now , in the real thing can you see them wing or wingtips or not ? Tia

I have a question regarding Airports... For example, PADQ and PANC, runway magnetic headings have changed. Ie PADQ RWY 25 is now RWY 26. Is there anyway to change these in FSX? PANC in FSX it is RWY 6, but now it is RWY 7. It seems like PADQ RWY 26 should be closed to departing traffic. Use RWY 29 instead? Is there a way this can be configured in the FSX airport configuration? This also seems to impact FMS / Airac consistently, since the Airac updates have the latest and greatest airport data. Has anybody flown out of PADQ real world? I know as a pilot I would probably be reluctant to depart on runway 26 , with a hill / mountain starring me in the face. Th…

Hi there all, I am at a complete loss and almost at my wit's end with this problem I am having. FSX boots fine. But where it used to take, say, 20-30 seconds to load a new free flight, it now takes 5 minutes or more. I have been testing at YMHB and FAJS (both quiet airports) with no traffic, and in the default tricycle thingy. The problem developed on my previous (very clean, low-addon and virtually unused) FSX installation, which I only installed a two months ago. I removed it and the add-ons and reinstalled from scratch. Hi I bought my computer about two years ago to run FSX. I would now like to start upgrading my specs so that FSX:SE runs better and more smoothly. My system can handle add on aircraft like PMDG but I would like the FPS to improve from around 25FPS and I would also like to use the detailed clouds option on FSX as I am currently stuck with simple clouds. If I go anywhere near the detailed clouds button my FPS drop dramatically and make FSX completely unusable. Hey guys, I need your help on this one... So yesterday, I bought Active Sky Next for FSX. The installation went smoothly, and had no problems. I fired up FSX, loaded the A2A Cessna 172 at KFHR, and was amazed at the quality of this addon. But here's the weird part... When I loaded the iFly 737, the game would load normally, but whenever I moved the camera, the game would pause for like 5-10 seconds and then instantly move the camera to the rough area I was pointing at. I'm just fed up with Flight 1 and their download procedures and am wondering if I'm the only one. I go to any other store and there are no problems. I buy an add on download it , use it, end of story. I purchased Ultimate Traffic 2 , I downloaded their ' special ' down-loader. After several attempts it finally downloaded UT2. I disabled Windows Firewall, Nod 32, even Malware bytes. In compatibility mode I chose Windows 7 ( I have Windows 10 ) which works with everything else I have. Under ' Security ' I added ' Everyone '. and I included ' Administrator Rights '. So I go to open it , I hear the tower fans powering up , but nothing happens. I really don't know what else …

How do I delete Wilco CRJ 700 from FSX. I am running windows 10 and this add on is terrible. I have never seed a autothrottle work so poorly. I should have looked at the forums before buying this. Can I use the windows delete or do I need to manually delete some files ?

I have been using FSXWX as my weather engine. So far it worked like a charm! The only thing that I don't like is that the sim freeze for a micro-second sometimes, when updates the weather, but I can live with it. What improvements/features will I see if I get ASN? I'm mostly a GA/VFR guy

Hi, I just installed the Windows 10 upgrade and would like to uninstall my disk version of FSX so I can get a fresh start with Steam. I searched online and found several sets of procedures that were similar but all different. For example, there were some that suggested using CCleaner to clear the registry and others didn't mention it at all. (I never used this before.) Can someone tell me the correct procedures so I don't mess things up? I'm not that tech oriented. Thanks. Tom

Having a problem with Carenado Phenom 300 not updating latest Navigraph Airac. When I load the plane the Navigraph update window displays but, stays at 0% Not sure why this is happening because I have the Phenom 100 as well and the update loaded just fine with it. Additionally, no navigational data will load into the 300 (not even the default) making it useless. Has anyone experienced this issue? If so, how did you fix it? Does anyone know what folder the Phenom pulls it's nav data from? I'm thinking maybe I can update manually? Help....

I am wondering if there is a way to get SweetFX working in FSX:SE. I have seen where SweetFX 2.0 and possibly ReShade needed to be used for this sim, but I have yet to get it working. The text that indicates that the software is installed in the sim appears when the sim comes up in the aircraft display window, but no effects are present. I also have no idea how the operate the "Moderator" software that comes with ReShade. Is there any way to import the regular .txt presets into it?

Just trying to decide which one to add to the hangar. I'm familiar with Carenado products (Phenom 100 & 300) but I don't have a RealAir add-on yet. Anybody own either C90 GTX and/or Turbine Duke V2? What do you think of them?

I've just moved from fs9 to fsx-se. I have two add-on planes, cs L1011 and cs 707. I've noticed that the IAS is not in sync with mach number eg. at FL 370 at .842 the IAS should be 301 but the L1011 is showing 308 - 7 knots out. In fs9 this could be corrected in the air file and in the aircraft .cfg by adding a section on speed indicator. I've tried this in fsx-se but no change is seen. Is the speed hard-coded in the panel gauges or can this discrepancy be corrected in fsx-se. Thanks in advance Trevor

Good day all. I know this was discussed before but I am still puzzled. So more I read about it more I get confused. I have new built PC (W10 pro) and FSX-SE is the first and the only flight sim has ever been installed on this PC, why do I still have two folders in Appdata/Roaming- FSX and FSX-SE? Do I have to have these two folders at the same time or it should be only ONE FSX folder? With FSX-SE folder sitting in my sim everything was actually working fine... till now I should say. I have read a lot where simmers saying that for clean install FSX-SE folder should not be created. I saw simmers desperately reinstalling FSX hundred times to get rid of that SE folder …

hello, When I switch from VC to the exterior view I feel that one view doesn't exist. I mean the first view I have in other planes when I switch to outside. If I am outside there (in other planes) I can press "a" three times to have the bird perspective. In the dash only twice, so the first view is missing. Thats a pity; this view allows a very smooth panning around the aircraft. The second view is very abrupt in stopping panning. So is there a way to get back this special first view? Kai
