Hi I originally posted this on the areosoft forum but have had no replies.I purchased the A318/319 and A320/A321 packages from Areosoft and have them installed onto my flight rig, question is can i also install them onto my other pc which is running the steam edition or would i need to purchase another copy? many thanks Daz

I have been long time user of Plan-G and have made donations for both v2.x and v3.x. However, I run Plan-G on a network and have always had issues with it crashing and none more so than lately. It works, but still crashes a minimum of once per flight, usually several times. I have reached my breaking point and am looking for a replacement. What I like; Runs across a network, moving map that uses Google maps. Ability to import flight plans from Simbrief. Navigraph support. I bought in feb 2016 flight1 kingair b200 and I have a big problem; when I open the add-on settings and I change something and then I push OK my fsx freeze and nothings happens again. I must close fsx via task and then restart fsx. No change are made in settings? What can be the problem? I have win10 home en fsx box Jef

I was wondering if the "NASA Shuttle Radar Topography Mission Combined Image Data Set V003" was usable in FSX? I've had good look with the SRTM 1 arc and 3 arc, but I haven't figured out get a usable TIF (that resample.exe can convert) from the SRTM Combined Image files. Best, Carlyle

How should an airliner behave in severe wind? Do they shake and bounce violently or do they experience only minor shakes? What about the general airline? Can anyone lend me an advice on this topic. I would like to achieve realistic shaking effects with ezdok, but not having any real life experience I have no idea how. How should the planes behave? Maybe someone with real life experience has some proper profiles that is willing to share, or lend an advice? In terms of Active Sky Next I have the enhanced turbulence turned off since it cause more issue than it brings to the table.

Can anyone recommend a decent CYYZ airport add-on? For some obscure reason, all I seem to be seeing in my FSX-SE default CYYZ is detached jetways and not affixed to a terminal building.

Just bought and setting up FSX:SE. Is this release Steam-ready or should I wait for a dedicated installer? That goes for the P-DukeV2 as well, which I already have. I know they work in SE but I'd like to do things according to realairs recommendations.

Hello all, Am I required to buy FSUIPC in order for add-ons such as the PMDG 737NGX, PMDG 777, PMDG 747-400X, PMDG 737 Extension Pack and other add-ons such as Active Sky 2012 to work without any problems? As for my hardware, I usually just configure them through FSX by setting buttons to what I want them to do in FSX. Your replies are highly appreciated.

Hello All --- well am new user of the Q400 Pro and have been busy trying to find some information, in clear form, that discusses how and what for the failure system. Specifically, I am looking to control and/or shut off failures. I have looked all around but can find nothing comprehensive --- here is my present basic understanding: 1. When I select a Q400 aircraft, I get a green banner that says "the default failures have been installed" across the upper screen. 2. I have looked at the failure files that are created when an aircraft is selected but it appears that NO FAILURES are set unless the user manually sets them in the system panel (?) with the exception of …

While at work, I recently realized how bloody many keyboard shortcuts there are to know and remember in FSX and addon planes. Between MS Excel/Word, Windows OS, web browser, my Blackberry and FSX, it's crazy how many keyboard shortcuts I remember and use all the time. I use to remember phone numbers, now I remember keyboard shortcuts instead I guess. Aside, part of the reason I haven't gotten into X-Plane is the pure fact that I would have to learn a whole new interface and plethora key commands. Ay, caramba!

Recently I purchased a new computer to replace my old-faithful (I7 950) because of motherboard failure. The new one came with Windows 10 installed. I installed FSX-SE (had to run it in Windows 8 compatibility mode), configured Nvidia Inspector. It runs great, but then I began to install some freeware airport addons, mainly Ray Smith's. I noticed that some of the default scenery is bleeding through. I tried to change my texture resolutions to 30 cm, 60 cm, etc. None of the changes makes a difference. I have about a dozen payware airports installed and have not noticed any bleed-through on them. Any help? The new rig: 17-4790k, GTX 970, 8 gigs of ram.

Is anyone using the Blackbox A320 Prologue and Ezdok? It would appear that although it has a full fuselage model when viewing FSX own aircraft views, when trying to define Aircraft views in Ezdok, it appears as though the airframe is missing. Is this because the current 0.8.5 version of the BB A320 Xtreme Prologue is still in development, or is there a way to fix this? Thanks, Stuart

I have 7 profilespecially in my fsuipc initial fole. For some reason everything I load fsx it checks in my cessna 182. I started a default trike and then my pmdg 737. When I went to fsuipc it stays on the cessna 182. This happens to all aircraft. Is this fixable without having to delete all my profiles and start over?

I did a re-install of EZDOC from Flight 1. That download had the original 1.15 version plus the 1.18.7 included. I made sure the key was activated. I did the download without a problem. There was a pop up that I never saw with the original 1.15 version. It gave me a choice of restoring my FSX files and configuring my FSX files.I chose configuring only. It was installed in my E (Drive), that's where everything related to FSX is installed. in the FSX folder. The Compatability mode is administrator. When I go into the sim. drop down box where the add-ons are it's not there. The entire E (Drive) is exempt from my Nod32 anti virus and also Windows Firewall. I have Windows 10,…

I currently have FTX Global, UTX, and a few airports. I'm just looking for maybe some good regions for North America since that's where I primarily fly or maybe some airports.

I know that when you install a new software into FSX, occasionally you will get the "flight simulator is attempting to start X" dialogue, and after clicking 'Yes' FS remembers and will not ask you again. However, for as long as I've been using FSX-SE, the dialogues that ask me to run couatl from FSDT and as_btstp_config_manager from Active Sky Next show up every time I load FSX even if I click 'Yes'. I have plenty of software that required me to acknowledge this dialogue at one point, but these two are the only ones that show up at every startup. How can I fix this? It's getting irritating. Hi guys, It's been a very long time.... Some of you may remember me as an avid contributor here in the FS2004 days, made some repaints, beta tested for Aerosoft, etc.... Had a kid in 2010 then my HD crashed and with it my custom FS2004 install. No simming at all since. I would like to return to FSX soon. It never ran well on my old rig, but would like to give it a try now. I found some tips on hardware in the hardware forum. What I would like to know here is what are the must-have add-ons these days for FSX? I am using FSX-SE. I noticed that Steam is now selling ASN for FSX-SE. Anyone knows if the ASN bought from HiFI or from Steam are the same version. HiFi states on their site that it works for FSX-SE but also mention that ASN bought from Steam is updated by Steam and not HiFI. Which website is the preferred for purchase when using FSX-SE, or does it not matter? Regards Erik Bentsen

This is an odd one, because on the surface of things it looks like it should be an easy fix, but to date I have been unable to locate the culprit. For some reason whenever I use the brake, on any aircraft, on landing or taxiing, the pilot's view lurches forward, as though it is a consequence of a setting in Ezdok. However, I have tried tests without Ezdok and with Accusim turned off, but the effect appears to be still active. Does anyone have any idea what this can be and how I can stop it? Cheers.

Hello All, Recently, I installed Playsims Publishing's 'Ultimate Canary Islands Airports' (Gold Edition) scenery add-on for FSX. After the installation had completed, I loaded a flight at GCTS and there was no sign of the add-on scenery, just the standard default FSX scenery. Hey guys, I don't know whats wrong but since I bought and installed FSX-SE I have been having an issue whereby the sound would just cutoff mid flight and no matter what, it fails to return. I would have to exit the sim. It doesn't happen in every flight and it certainly is frustrating. I have used Steam's verify integrity function and I have re-installed my sound card drivers. I am getting to the point where I just want to put this simulator down for good.

Which is the best option? Specs - GTX 980TI, i5-4460, 8gb ram
