I'm trying to use FSUIPC to set up CH Yoke, Quad, and pedals, I read a guide by John Cook. The first thing he tells you to do, the first thing, is to disable the controllers. I do this and start FSUIPC. Mr Cook writes that we are not going to use FSX or CH's Control Manager to assign and calibrate the yoke, quad, and pedals; great that's why purchased it. I proceed to assign all my axis. I follow his directions to the tee. That's it. There are no directions to do anything when a get out of FSUIPC. I used AVSIM downloads a long time ago with FS2002 & 2004. I have recently installed FSX Steam and have re-joined AVSIM. I'm looking to download a few things and the Woains24 tells me that I need NET Framework 2.0. I am running Win 10 on a new computer. 10 came with the computer. Do I need NET Framework 2.0 or do I already have it? If I need it, what version do I download X64 or X86 or ia64? I'm running 64 bits. Thanks! Lift

Does anyone have the "key" commands for Eaglesoft SR-22G2 with Avidyne Flight Deck? I'm programming my FSUIPC4 units and I would like to set up all of the button commands. Thanks, Tim

Not sure in which forum to post this, but... Anyone know how to force FS_Earth in FSX & FS9 to show the user a/c in the centre of the Google Earth screen at startup (at the airport)? Google Earth often starts with the a/c icon at the top of the screen, so when you zoom in it disappears altogether (the icon usually centres itself after take-off, but is not centred again at the destination airport). I can't see a setting for this in FS_Earth... Many thanks

Downloaded, installed, great, right? Where the hell is it? How do I use it? I don't see a shortcut I don't see anything. How do I open it? Where does it install? I these are newbie questions. Please, help. According to the install, every went just great. Is it accessed from inside FSX?

I've been watching a lot of nice fsx (and x-plane) videos on youtube, and while I'm not about to start making any (yet) I'm curious as to what the basic process is for making these. Not talking about post-processing, etc, but rather how do you get the raw video of your flight exported/generated, because I see they're made of some VC footage, some exterior, etc, but all from the same flight, and surely they don't fly the route like that.... So what is the basic process and what tools are needed? Can anyone share if they know these basics? Thanks!

How can I change a flight plan with the extension .PLN to a file which the CDU understands and accepts ? I made flight plans using PFPX and always end up with .PLN I also noticed that those file ( .PLN ) can be opened using Notepad Your help is appreciated Hubert Werni

I have been flightsimming for like 30 years and now I spend more time dinking around for improvements,solving problems etc.I know autogen has always been performance problem,but not what I am asking about.Tonight I am flying,seeing all the AG things pop up which bothers me and wonder what happens with no autogen.So I have been going back and forth between full ag and no ag.No ag nothing popping up and a lot less trees.Otherwise I see no difference.Am I missing something here like more bldgs etc?From what I see I would give up the more trees to get rid of the popping up scenery.I am obviously an old guy been doing this over 30 yrs so maybe I am missing something.Thanks,Ron

I recieved a $100 gift cerificate for Steam. I've had X-Plane 10 in my wish list for a while, its a bit pricey. Is different from MSFSX? Is it better? Or is my money better spent on planes for MSFSX, or something else? Any thoughts are welcome.

Hey guys, I have been doing a lot of research online and digging up old threads but our situation and hardware setup is rather unique that I need to turn to the community to get some more outside the box ideas flowing. FSX stutters quit bad even though achieving a very acceptable framerate on the ground FSDT KLAX approx 30 on the ground. I made the PC: Intel i7 3790K 4.40Ghz, 8GB DDR3 Ram, ASUS P8Z77-V, EVGA 670Gtx, 500gb Samsung SSD, Corsair H100. That pc runs a triple head to go, VGA to three displays running at 1280X1024 each, giving a final resolution of 3840X3072. Hi guys :wink: I changed my SSD and im reeinstalling all my fsx but one of my favorites plane with the dash and the T7 is missing yet, The good and old Maddog pro 2010.When i go to the website for download it i got a "Web page unvailable", so what ? how i can download the maddog maybe on other site ? Hello Friends I am actually in a transition course to SWISS 777 and for that I installed FSX and B777/200 as well as the iPad-App "virtual CDU777" on my Windows-10 Computer. Everything works fine, however: I can not use my Mouse to control any Switch or Handle in the Cockpit. Always when I push a Mouse Button the Picture disappears and I am back on the Desktop page. Does someone have a Idea what the Problem is or is there another Way to use all the Switches and Handles in the Cockpit ? Thanks for your Help !! Steve "Magarone" / Switzerland

Hi, I'm wondering if anyone else has this issue in FSX-SE: of the screen going to reduced sized and the simm going into pause. It seems to happen randomly with any aircraft, but only once ie. once full sized and resumed it doesn't happen again for that flight. It has nothing to do with the pause at TOD that I can see as I never use this facility on any add-on. Okay so it's not a show stopper but it is irritating.

I was wondering what is the maximum (safe flight) range of the Boeing 737-800 PMDG, that it can still have like 2000lbs in the reserve. And can I actually make a transatlantic flight with it? Thanks in advance Mixer

After a long wait (6+ months) from my Pre-order date, I finally got the 5 DVDs of Scotland Central (dual layer 8GB) requiring 37GB to install. I start to install and immediately run into a few problems: 1. Autorun.inf points to Open=Setup.exe, there is no setup.exe on the DVD, there is a VFRGenXVol7Setup.exe ... so the process of insert the DVD and watch the installer automatically start doesn't work. I have to manually run VFRGenXVol7Setup.exe. 2. It looks like DVD's are dual layer 8GB and are not a "standard" format, in fact it looks like they were burned and the session was left open?? Anyway, this DVD issue is causing my Pioneer BD-RW BDR-207D to h…

Apologies if this has been asked/answered before, but I can't get GRIB data to download and inject into P3D. It doesn't show up in the flight plan report; I'm using the latest OPUS beta. Anyone have a suggestion to fix this? Thanks,

There seems to be quite a few topics like this scattered throughout the forum but they all seem to be quite personalized so I figured instead of resurrecting someone else's that doesn't really apply to me I'd just start my own. I used to fly a lot in FS2004. Made the switch to FSX because that's what all the nice new addons were being made for and got it running reasonably well. But I found myself always spending more time tweaking and messing with settings than actually flying, then when I would actually fly something would freeze or crash and I'd be angry and it eventually ended up forming a storm cloud above my head and deleting FSX in a tizzy. I'm new to the site and I'm in the process of setting up multiple monitors. On my glass cockpit, i have three touch screen monitors. I'm able to get them all to work just fine, but I would like one of them to operate in "portrait" mode. When I rotate my monitor in the set-up in my nvidia card, then go to display settings in fsx the display is not recognized. Rotate it back and fsx sees it just fine. Does anyone know how to set just one screen up in portrait mode, all others will operate in landscape mode??? Thanks in advance for your help. Tim

Hi, so at the moment, my FSX:SE graphics textures are really bad even with FTX Global installed, so I decided to just get a few things to help with my graphics and weather. So along with FTX (which has helped somewhat) I would like to get REX Texture Direct And Soft Clouds Bundle, but with my past experience in trying to install REX Essentials+ OD, I am a little hesitant to install this, but I will give it a try. And I want to install it alongside Active Sky Next for my weather. So I am just wondering if they are all compatible with each other or what settings I should use on one of the products. Thanks!

Here's the situation... 1. I get in a plane. 2. I log onto VATSIM. 3. I contact the controller with whatever. 4. Uhhh... could you repeat please? As visible on step four, I can't understand the controller. Not in the sense that I don't know ATC protocol, It's that the audio quality is often times so poor that I get discouraged, knowing I'll have problems and just log off. I use vPilot and FSX-SE, and so far I can't find any helpful audio settings. This is truly the only factor keeping me from flying more VATSIM, as I simply can't function in the server when I have to ask to repeat so many times, and it really gets embarrassing for me, and I'm sure it's annoying to…

I am using FSX and have just experienced SODE. I installed V1.31, When I load FSX and the Free Flight screen appears, the window which would display the default Cessna, for example, is black and you do not see the selected aircraft. Any help please? Thanks Dom

Hello everybody. I have problem with missing terminal buildings. When I start a new flight at any airport everything is okay. But when I land at any other airport, some of the terminal buildings disappear. I see only airbridges(jetways) and nothing behind them. I reinstalled FSX many times but it's still the same.. I am running Win 7 64bit, FSX Acceleration pack. Can anyone help me with fixing it? Many thanks(Sorry for my poor english )
