On some airports ( ex LSZH,CYUL ) I notice some black spots beside the rwy. I am sure they indicate something but as they are black it is impossible to read them.. It is only a small detail and yet I try to find out what the problem might be. I run FSX Deluxe with Windows 7 Your help is appreciated HerbertWerni

I've recently had a new bug. After I land, the nose gear always persistently turns to the right. The steering is perfectly fine before takeoff. I've checked to make sure that both engines are on and they both respond to throttle input simultaneously. The joystick is also ok, I use the rudder input to control steering. While the rudder responds normally to rudder inputs, the nosewheel responds as if it was trimmed to the right. I can still taxi straight by applying continuous left rudder. This issue has manifested in both the PMDG 737 NGX and the Aerosoft Airbus A320. At this point I'm not sure what the problem is. I used two different ACARS software, VPilot, and AS …

I'm looking at purchasing my first fsx add-on, I had many in fs9 but after a long break I came back but to fsx... So I figure I'd ask, if you had to pick one and only one of your add-ons that you could keep what wouldn't you be able to part with, scenery, aircraft etc etc.....I know there are probably many that you couldn't go without, But just pick ONE :-) Thanks

I had to remove and reinstall FSX and all the flight sim related programs. Now I notice that the airports do not indicate numbers of exits from the rwy,nor are there any indications on the taxiways. I wonder if anything is wrong with my scenery settings.The only add on I made was the Vancouver airport from FSDreamTeam. Your help is appreciated HubertWerni

Hi am thinking about buying Orbx Globle Base and Vector to enhance my FSX-SE . I wanted to ask other players opinion on there views with this package. Is there any other packs which you would consider better value for money as the Orbx is not cheap. Also what freeware packages would you recommend. As it stands i have.... Ok, I know the overwhelming recommendation for new scenery is FTX Global, however, I hear that it makes a lot of areas green that aren't, mainly in the SW. Grand Canyon for example in their comparison video looks green, whereas we all know it's mostly red from a high altitude. The majority of the green is above the canyon and out of the ridges. Regardless, even my hometown looks terrible. KDVT and most of Phoenix is unrealistic tan color. A lot of the land here from above is desert but a darker tan, and the mountains are gray. Dear Madam or Sir, i just bought the Dynamic WT-9 Download for FS9. I installed it on Windows 7 as Administrator. I made my first flight with a fixed-gear Version. Immediately after takeoff the "gear retraction Sound" played. I looked from the outside an the gear was not retracted (of Course not, as i Flew a fixed gear model). I approached one of my favorite Airports and the plane sinks into the ground and slides over the tarmac on ist belly, as if the gear was up. I checked this several times an can reproduce it. A perfect landing can be done, if i press the "G" key before landing. Thanks in advance for help Bodo

Well i got FSX-SE 5 days ago and had nothing but trouble with it.Most of which has now been sorted. But the major bug i have is when i launch the game into 5760x1080. The Virtual Cockpit shows a black screen.If i launch it in 1920x1080 its all fine. I have 3x23" HP Monitors. I dont use DirectX 10 ( i have tried it ) Lowerd all my settings to lowest possable and still no VC. I have spent hours trolling here there and everywhere for an answer with no luck so far and still waiting on dovetail to answer my ticket. I have also tried both default cockpit views My set-up is AMD FX 8350 8 cores at 4ghz. 32gig of ram Nvidia Geforce GTX760 2000mb 3x23" HP Monitors Cheers All

Hello fellow simmers; Im starting to have some problems with Ezdok. While flying any aircraft and being in the cockpit view, Ezdok moves on its own to the right or to the left. I have to reset and save the view all over again. After some time it will move again. Anyone else experienced anything similar? Thank you for your help.

Hi all I fly mainly VFR and I am having trouble lining up the runway as it is too dark and blends in with the vegation. Does anyone know of a way to lighten up the colour of the runway? I know it might be unrealistic, but so is having to slew back a few miles to restart my approach as I only see the runway at the last moment. Many thanks John

Sorry, I know this is an old thread... Wow, I just installed this addon and it works a treat! It is so nice to have the PDF plates directly in FSX in full screen. No need to reduce windows, etc.... Although I also use another computer for charts, EFB, etc...when I stream, it means I can display the Flight Plan, charts, etc.... within FSX. Cool! Anybody else is using it? Is there something bad I should be aware of?

Somewhere along the line I have developed background noise that is annoying. I cannot really tell whether it is engines, wind, the environment or something else. Sometimes switching to the outside view and back to the cockpit view reduces the noise for a period at least. I am pretty sure it is coming from FS as pressing the "Q" key silences it. Communication continues with PF3, but all other sound is silenced then. I have tried unchecking all sound options and nothing changes relative to the noise. Engines and communication settings can be set high enough to override the background, but it is still a nuisance and one has to listen carefully to the communication due to the…

Hello. I'm not exactly sure where to post this so I guess I'll start here. I have installed a couple of POSKY 747's in FSX but seem to be missing some textures and I'm not sure why. I have the PW4000 and the RB211. Things seem fine with the RB211 but in the PW4000 I'm missing textures for the tow, catering vehicles and stairs. (I have a picture to show but can't seem to get that to work in these forums anymore). If anyone knows what I'm missing and where I'm missing it from, the help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I recently started getting micro-stutters(a back and forward movement) when looking out of the left window (if I'm in the capt seat).No stutter if i look out the window in front of me.The stutters gets worse if I'm low (like 2000-3000 ft) and tends to be less noticeable as I climb. Even if I'm at cruise altitude at say 30000 feet I can see the terrain moving ever so slightly.You can hardly tell it's moving but it is and it ruins the immersion. I have steves' fixer , no tweak other than afm=60, and fiber frame time fraction at 0.22 would swt or fftf help against micro stutters ? if yest what would be the right way to find the appropriate settings ? The Avanti I'm using is the lovely freeware Avanti by Mario Noriega. I was undertaking a flight from Keflavik, Iceland over to Blackpool (UK). I'd got to cruising altitude, navigated over a few intersections then saved the flight. Upon reloading, the aeroplane was flying normally, but the autopilot altitude setting was at zero, and the cabin pressure had failed. At first I thought this may be something to do with having my default FSX flight as cold & dark. I overwrote that with a fully powered up plane and made that the default flight. I tried re-loading my saved flight and it still had cabin pressure failure. I've reloaded a 777 flight and that was fine. Th…

I have a problem with my ftx. When i arrime to the airport of arrival the textures dont generate, for example i cant se the trees the houses etc. Can someone help me

Is there a way of semi-permanently resizing the aircraft in the FSX Free Flight Window. Some aircraft extend beyond the frame of the window (see link to PIC1 and PIC2 ). https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B0veMxh9ITWoa3BUM3pFTkRpOHM&usp=sharing I can resize the aircraft OK, but every time I start up FSX it goes back to the "too-large" default. It only does this with some aircraft. I think there are programs that allow one to change the defaults of some FSX parameters including the Free Flight Window aircraft size (safely!), but if it is just a change in a .ini or .cfg that will help. Just curious if REX texture direct does the same as GEX? I'll be looking at updating my ground textures but confused on these 2 program, I know for sure GEX does what I'm looking for, but curious about REX texture direct? Also one more quick one about REX, if I eventually get active sky next will REX soft clouds be redundant? As in does active sky next have its own cloud textures? Trying to avoid double spending this time around with my fresh fsx steam coming from fs9 after a few years. Thanks

I have just acquired a garsim emuteq gns 530 and using fsuipc I have managed to program all the the buttons and the right hand dual rotary encoder push cursor But I cant seem setup the the left hand push c/v dual rotary encoder it appears to be a lot more complicated. can any body please help???

I have not flown in a few months but purchased GEX and UTX and installed successfully last week. FSX is running fine. I decided to try a Recovery Mission previously completed successfully for the Convair B58 at Edwards AFB. Everything looks beautiful until I reach the recovery site for the sling lift and the object is not there. Wondering if this is related to the layering for GEX and UTX which are now at the top of the scenery library. Any insight is appreciated. Thanks

I have a problem common to all my aircraft simulations, default and add-on, with regard to ILS tuning. I operate out of an airfield (EGGP) where the ILS frequency is the same for both runways: 09 and 27. However, only runway 09 ILS tunes in correctly, even when I select ILS 27 from within an FMS/FMC. The ident. also only displays for runway 09 - 'ILVR'. No-one else with whom I have spoken has the same problem, and the ILS for runway 27 tunes correctly, with correct ident. for them. This is a problem that has only occurred within the last few months as I used to be able to tune either ILS as required. Any help would be much appreciated.
