I personally hate these types of subjective questions, but figured I'd solicit community opinion on what the best helo might be for FSX. The sort of attributes I look for are high fidelity, proper flight dynamics, complexity of systems, etc. So far, the best helos I've found in these categories are Cerasim AC, but I was wondering if there's anything else? I've looked into dodosim, but compared to Cerasim, the fidelity just wasn't there. Milviz has a decent 407, but it seems quite buggy and the flight characteristics a little unrealistic. Thoughts?

Have installed the fantastic Guanghzhou FSX from Bridge. Everything is perfect apart from one issue, maybe it is me. One terminal has very little traffic and aircrafts ( foreign ) are parked on the apron and I want to change the airline codes at this terminal. At the other terminals ( Chinese ) aircrafts are parked correctly, which means that it is not the default afcad. However I cannot find the ZGGG afcad file from Bridge. Have sent an e-mail yesterday and am now waiting for an answer. Have others this scenery and if so have they the afcad.

I haven't been in the forums in such a long time, good to be back. I do have a problem though, when I'm traveling across the Atlantic my planes textures keep disappearing on all add on aircraft, it's getting very annoying at times, can you guys help me out. Thanks Daniel.

Hi, Guys! I've written same thing in another forum, so I'm going to write here. Suppose I'm going to Australia from Dubai. After flying 1 hour of Aircraft, I turn ON slew mode and reach near Australia in seconds. After that I turn off slew and start normal flying. After landing I'm watching that Clock on Aircraft didn't count Slew Mode time. So how I can calculate the slew time so that I can find exact flight time. You'll ask, why are you calculating slew time. Take a short flight and land. So, here's its answer. Just for varying speed and different Altitudes. I mean: 1st time, I'll go at 525Knots and 32000ft & see how much time it will take? 2nd time…

I decided to try out FSDreamTeam's KLAS scenery. After a bit of testing, I found some incompatibility with my other scenery, so decided to uninstall it. I opened the Control Panel->Uninstall a program, and got the predicted program list. Picked out the FSDT KLAS, selected "uninstall," and...nothing. No uninstaller dialog, no sign that anything was happening. After waiting about ten minutes, I tried selecting "uninstall" again, and got an error dialog saying that I had to wait for the previous program to uninstall. Waited another ten to fifteen minutes -- still nothing. Looking at the task manager, it indicates that there is an "unins005.exe" in the list, but …

I've just got a new computer. FSX installed ok. Win7. I then tried to install PIC737 off my disk, which at first started ok. Then it said, install to FSX?, which it started & asked did I want SP2 which it did, then the process started, after I did a cold reboot, ran FSX, exited FSX, then it would not continue with the install, no matter what I try. Also posted this over on the Flight1 forums, but thought someone up here might have seen or experienced this. I have been flying the Flight1 King Air for awhile now, with no problems. I do follow their advice to load the trike before the B200. Tonight, as FSX was loading the trike, I got a notice from FSDT that there was a COATL update available, and would I like to download and install it. I answered "yes" and the install seemed to be successful. After the trike was sitting at the airport gate, I chose "Select Aircraft" and picked the King Air. Hi everyone I am using world of AI to add traffic to my fsx world. there are a lot of packages there that are quite old and wondered if the Alpha India group AI releases can also be used at the same time? Is it a case of using one system or another? If I can use the Alpha India group AI at the samer time how do you go about it in FSX? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Barra

Was wondering if anyone is working on a new E-jet series? The one from Feelthere was good but it is showing its age and I am sure an in-depth simulation would be appreciated.

I have a problem with Q400 in situations as per topic title. Usually during crosswind I end up my takeoff /landing on the grass. There is no way that full rudder deflection + 8deg tiller will keep this thing on the runway. Any hints would be appreciated. BR/Art

Hi All, I've been using FSX for several years and have noticed the effect for nav, strobe and beacon light occasionally show through the virtual cockpit walls. The artefact is a bit difficult to reproduce as seems to depend on the exact view direction, zoom level and so on. I recently read this post on the A2A forum which suggested a fix. (The advice below seems to come from Milviz originally.) I duly added the 'ClipMode = Minimum' line to my camera.cfg and it seems to have fixed this old FSX bug. What is the advantage of the AI traffic flying a "real route" from airport to airport? How does that effect my flying into and out of airports? Also I read the program has planes parking anywhere at airports and not at assigned gates. Is there a easy way to fix this?

I purchased the PRO Edition right when it came out. I quickly discovered that the FMC doesn't work. After it is turned on the screen remains black. I went to their support and they were very good asking many questions after many e-mails , but they have yet to come up with a solution. I even tried re-installing but to no avail. The last e-mail I got from them about four days ago suggested that it might be a bug and they would let me know. My question is anyone else having this problem ?

My real weather update that came with the program is always the same any more. It has been that way for two weeks or more. I have cleared out the internet cache etc, and my real weather rate is set at highest setting. Has Microsoft terminated their contract? Each time I select real weather update, updated each 15 min nothing is changing. Yes I'm at a airport that supports a weather station. It just stop loading current weather a few weeks ago. I recall from the last time I used this excellent addon in FSX that there were some problems at default FSX airports with the data in the FMC and ILS databases in the module and the sim data. On some approaches flown by the AP or coupled, I had to give up and fly the approach visually myself because the aircraft became really disaligned with the rw centerline. What sort of fixes do you use for this, or has it been fixed in the Pro version? Should the pro version require an update of the FSX / P3D navaids like that made freely available from Hervé's site ( for Europe only regarding ILS )?

Dont recall this being a problem previously but When i goto Buttons and switches Press a joystick button Select for FS Control Control to repeat while held Then select the item i want to use The tick in the box Control to repeat dissappears. So if i retick then press ok and open FSUIPC and have another look the tick box is empty. Any help appreciated thxs Regards

For FS2Crew Dash 8 users, Version 1.6 has just been released. Please login to your FS2Crew account to download and re-download the main installer. 1.6 is only built into the main installer; there is no stand alone updater. I am tempted to buy the Steam edition of Aerosoft's F-16 Falcon while it is on sale. But I read somewhere a post (it was more of a rant to put it frankly) that the SE edition only comes with one paint scheme and one version, whereas the advertising mentions numerous paints and several different versions of the aircraft. Can anyone tell me if the advertising is correct or is the complaint about false advertising correct??? Really enjoy FSX SE (When it's working) In particular, the dangerous approaches and Cargo crew are fun add ons but in all honesty, pale to the original missions. However, After reinstalling FSZ SE for the fifth time, I am hesitant to add new scenery until I'm done with all missions since I have found conflicts before that aren't compatible.... So, running through Dangerous approaches, I have completed all except #9 (Steep descent in to london) It opens up and immediately there is a collision with a bldg. In FS9 and FSX, I quite often have AI traffic coming straight at me along a taxiway, even when (like just now), I am at a relatively large aiprort (CYYZ tonight) and there is a parallel taxiway available. On arrival today in Toronto, both PFE + TGS (PFE's taxi guidance system) (which I use for ATC) and AES' 'Follow-Me' car concurred that I should be following a particular taxiway to my gate (B20), but in two minutes, I was met head on by four different a/c coming towards the runway.
