This one's a little bit "out there." I wonder if anyone knows of a way to emulate joystick and/or other directX inputs over/using one of the remote PC solutions currently available?When I'm traveling, I can access my home LAN from afar with a laptop, and remote-control any of the PCs there. I have been remotely developing/testing on my distributed FS setup...and it works much better than expected. I can open multiple instances of the remote software on the laptop, each mapped to a different PC at home, and control all the parts of a Project Magenta-based cockpit via the remote connection(s). I have a problem I have never seen before. During some flights, my clouds will develop what look like tire tracks on them. The water reflection also appears rainbow colored. Noise, like little flickers with color, also appears on the screen. I have FSW Sky World, AS2004.5, and non-original water textures.I also have a 9800 Pro with the latest ATI drivers.Has anyone experienced this? Any ideas?

I am looking for the most accurate sounds for the following planes.......The Posky 757, IFDG 319, and the IFDG 320. What file names sould I be looking for?

I'm wondering if there is a way to bring up a list in the flight planner in FS2004 of all the water airstrips or landing ports. Also, the same for all landing strips where ice skids are needed. Would like to plan flights for those venues but don't know how to find them. Thanks for any info. Miller

In the Microsoft web site, they recommend that the FPS slider be set to unlimited in order to enhance performance.I always thought that a setting of about 25 to 30 FPS was best in order to allow the graphics card to work on other aspects of the sim.Do you agree with Microsoft??Thank you.Stanner

I do a daytime job as well as running my own company. This gives me precious little time to enjoy either real flying (once a month if the weather is good) and even less time to enjoy FS2004. I realised the other week that since the 9.1 patch came out I have spent 95% of my time installing/testing/tweaking new addons and only 5% (if that!) actually flying anything, anywhere.I opened up my PMDG 737-700NG last night to try a brief flight (and I mean brief...EGLL to EGKK!) and after I had finished programming the FMC, trying to find the correct SID/STARS, setting the AT/Autopilot, Trim etc I realised that I had run out of time and had to go to bed! Could I save the situation …

I am trying to find a list of airport ICAO codes, airport name, city and country (very much like the data in the fs9 aiport selector screen). Can anyone point me to the fs9 file that has this data or any other file that will allow me to load into Excel. I am trying to merge with a schedule containing only the ICAO codes. thanks,Mark.

I would like to know which functions you have assigned to the new QT Quadrant. I can't seem to assign the 'Strobe' lights to one of the buttons. When I do, it doesn't work, although I have the landing gear and panel lights assigned and these work. Since I have the Virtual Pro yoke, some of the functions, e.g. flaps, trim. views are assigned to the buttons on the yoke.

I am now unable to print the flight log created by FS9. I never had this problem in the past. Also, when I open the kneeboard to the cockpit, and select the flight log, I am not able to scroll down. If I try to scroll down, FS9 crashes. I have tried reloading FS9.cfg file, but of no help.Any suggestions?ThanksStanner

I updated to FS9.1 thereby getting a new FS9.cfg file.Recently I was have problems, so I deleted the FS9.cfg file. I then reloaded FS2004, and thereby created a new FS9.cfg file. Does this new FS9.cfg file contain the same data as the one in FS9.1, or have I reverted back to the pre FS9.1 FS9.cfg file?ThanksStanner

I was thinking about getting the Eaglesoft Citation 10 to do some tranatlantic flights as well as others in the U.S. I read somewhere that it is a great plane but its fms sytem lacks full functionality or something like that. Does anyone have it and do you recommend it? Is this "functionality" issue a big deal or not? Thanks. Tom

Hi, All users of fs sky world must have the patch installed fswp1.zip for windows98ME 2000 and xp to prevent crash and fs9.0 will not start anymore because of 2 fixed day sky set, there is few broken files. Does anyone know if there's a product out there to allow one person to provide ATC to a multiplayer flight simulator session? I'm not talking about VATSIM or IVAO, but a private FS multisession where one of the players is the ATC controller and the other ones fly in the airspace.Dave Vega

Hi, just have a question about payware aircraft and the next microsoft flight sim: are current FS2004 models to be compatible as they are modelled in gmax or will they have to go through a conversion again, as from FS2002 to FS2004? or is this not known until the next version is released. i was just thinking of developers like carenado who charged $5 to upgrade their model.ThanksRyan
