Having downloaded the MS SDKs, I see they are listed in Control PanelAdd or Remove Programs. I've also got a downloaded aircraft there too. Is there any reason why I shouldn't remove these?

Wow, just loaded FS2004 last week and I am having a hard time getting used to it, compared to FS2002. Thanks to everyone who has answered my questions, they have definitely helped! This forum is great. Here is another weird thing I discovered last night. Created a flight plan from (McCarran International in Las Vegas to Reno-Tahoe International, IFR flight plan, flying in low visibility conditions. Everything is fine, until I get clearance to 8,500 feet, about 30 miles out, to contact the control tower, they give me clearance for 16R. After that I get nothing from ATC, and I fly right past the airport. Can anybody tell me what is happening? I have this same flight plan in…

Hi AllI have a problem where I cannot land but I can take off when starting the program. When landing I seem to dip below the running, continually bounce and cannot slow down anymore than 40knots. Could this possibly be something to do with a scenery I have added which incorrectly places the runway?I can try to land at the same airport I take off but run into this problem.cheersDave

I have been running FS2004 since it came out.I had a problem with sound break up right at the beginning, and I set my sound card to Basic Accelleration, which solved the problem.ATC has always been loud and clear.Since yesterday, ATC voices have developed long stutters which is really annoying.Any ideas what might be causing this please?Many thanks,

Are there any Cirrus airplanes available to add into MSFS2004?We saw a new one at the Pilot Shop in Lancaster, PA. It's a beauty.It has a parachute that can be deployed for the airplane.310 HP and a glass cockpit. My wife fell in love with it so as soon as we have $400 K buring a hole in our pocket . . .Meanwhile, I'd like to fly it in Sim mode.By the way, that Pilot Shop is part of the FBO at the Lancaster Airport. I have the PSS A320 series and some IDFG A320 models.I have read a lot of posts here about merging IFDG with PSS.Pedro Oliveira's Version 10 A320 FDE contains separate updates for the PSS and IFDG planes.Do both work with the PSS panel, or is more tweaking required?

Hi all - I need some help in the Washington State area around Whibley Airport (WA10). I just noticed that all my lakes are square and my rivers are made of square water textures. The only scenery that I have loaded in that area is the US_WA_NC.zip by Holger Sandmann, the rest of the Cascade Mountains that the scenery covers have no problems. Any ideas on a fix for this? Thanks for any help on this one I am at a loss. I followed the installation instructions to the letter and replaced the default polygon and vector scenery files.

Now that I have managed to get all the instruments to work and am getting reasonable fps in the 2D cockpit, I tried putting the 144 through its paces yesterday.Having scoured the internet for performance numbers (not much out there) I went for published figures of mach 2.5 at 18,000 meters (59,000 feet).After a number of attempts I was at 17,777 meters climbing slowly to 18,000 at mach 1.6. When 18,000 meters was attained the aircraft started to level off but could never settle down in stable cruise. Fellow Simmers, I call on you now for help. The original downloaded Beaver had see-through glass but the updated versions have non-see-through which I think,imho, looks rubbish. Is there a texture I can delete to get the originals back. Curiously, at night the reflectivity is not there. Thank you.

Recently I purchased Lago's Honolulu scenery from simflight network. I received my files and download key immediately and hae been very happy so far.However, I noticed a version difference between my Lago Honolulu file and that on the website. The newest version is listed as 2.1.0, whereas mine is 2.0.1.Being the type of person I am, I like to keep my files updated, so I tried to get the 2.1.0 version and was told on the website, I could only download it if I had purchased it.I wrote to technical support and explained that I had purchased their program from a reseller (simflight) and if there was a way for them to "look up" or transfer my license to their website to all…

Several sound files are missing from the install disk (and obviously from my fs 9 directory as well) for student lesson 3. A search of the forums show that others have also found missing files for lesson 3, but no links to the files are provided.These missing files are located in the fs9/sounds/lessons directory and the file names should be (all wav files):S3-61S3-62S3-63S3-64S3-65S3-66S3-67S3-68S3-69Apparently, some have found these missing files in fs 2000 disk and just copied them into fs 2004, but I don't have fs 2000.Can someone upload copies of these files/provide a link or email copies to me? I'd very much appreciate that.

I got a BILLION hits when I searched on this so let me just post away. When attempting to switch from full screen to window mode and then back to full screen, I get a black screen with a flickering hour glass.I've tried Alt/Enter instead of the tool bar method and that works sometimes but as often as not it doesn't work. On a software support forum here it was suggested that I try alt/tab but that didn't work at all, in the sense that the view mode doesn't switch out of full screen at all.I'm asking because a very popular add-on requires view mode switching to function and it just ain't workin' for me.Any others with this same problem?Thanks,Jim

Tried landing 3 times on RWY 31 R in the SimFlyers KJFK - the Localizer keeps placing me .3 mile aff to the left. What is wrong? All the other runways seem to line up. Anyone have a solution? THanks.Chris Catalano

KASE What a challenging Departure!Is there a standard departure DP for KASE RWY 15? RWY 33 has a published DP. I don't see one for RWY 15I departed RWY 15 and FS ATC was giving me vectors into the moutains as part of the departure itself. They turned me way to soon.Thanks!Barry

Maybe I don't understand something or missed the discussion on the subject.Several times now I have heard the "bong" signaling that I'm "out of physical memory" and before I ended of the flight.Last night after the ND football game, on only an hour flight in a Citation X from South Bend to New York City, upon landing and exiting the aircraft with the active camera function, I ran out of "physical memory". I've gotten this window before I had active camera so I can't blame it on that.I have 1024 MB of Ram and half the 120 GB space left on the hard drive. I used FS Autostart. The page file usage on the task manager shows about 500-600 MB when the flight is loaded and ready …
