I am missing an airport in FS9 - TNCM in the Antilles. I installed "Islands of the West Indies, Vol. 3" which requires a recompile of "Ultimate Traffic." Upon recompile -during which UT collects a list of airports in FS9- I get a "missing airport" error message. Is there a way to add an airport (or at least the coordinates, so as to "fool" UT into believing it is actually there)?I haven't gotten this error message before - that is to say, up until installing Islands of the West Indies I was able to compile traffic without any problems. ricardo

A couple of days ago I uploaded two new AI aircraft to the library but both have appeared under repaints, rather than Original Aircraft.They are a DHC-2 Beaver (ID 152221) and a Fokker F27 (ID 152226)I assume it is my fault, but the default catgory for uploading files is original aircraft and I haven't had the problem previously. I have been told that they will be transferred to the correct category, but at this stage it hasn't occurred.My apologies.CheersMike

Flying a 4 engine this evening I suddenly noticed very odd throttle control in the air. Back on the ground, and after a lot of research, I found that whenever I select full power and then reduce the throttle, reverse thrust is selected almost immediately [previously, I always used No 3 after touchdown for reverse]. I have uninstalled my joystick [X45]but even using the keyboard I have the same problem. I then deleted the FS9.cfg and ran FS9 so that a new .cfg was developed - all to no avail.V grateful for any help - I have been using MSFS for years and this is a new one!!!!!!

anyone have any ideas why instant replay after long hauls would not work? actually what happens is; if the aircraft lands (gear touches down) the instant replay will not work - somehow the flight seems to be reset where there is only a second or two replay available. As long as the a/c never touches the runway the instatnt replay works fine. the only addon on this version of FS2004 is active camera. thanks for any help.

downwind patternI am flying into LE LAMENTIN TFFF runway 27 visual approach. My current heading is 273 and pattern altitude is 2000. MS ATC orders me to turn onto the downwind leg skipping the upwind and crosswind legs. My current position is straight over the runway. Should I fly the crosswind then proceed onto downwind leg? If making the downwind turn at point given I would cross the runway!

I love the megascenery add-ons and got the Tokyo one too www.japanscenery.com but I was wondering if I bought the PSS Concorde or PMDG 737 would my frame rate dwindle to limits where I would have to choose some cuts in quality in order to fly?Anyone out there got any advice and experience in this?Daniel

I have the CH Pro throttle USB, not the quadrant. I was wondering if there is a way to setup reverse thrust on this throttle? I've also noticed that while this throttle is plugged in, I cannot use the regular FS2004 keyboard control for reverse thrust which is the F2 key. Thank you.

Just curious. I realized today that I very rarely use the yoke for altitude adjustment, especially flying big iron. I use it to rotate, but then once I'm climbing adjust with trim, and don't use the yoke again until I flare when landing.

Hi, Have downloaded this scenery but the author does not give any info. on where to start you flight. I looked for Hanmer Springs airport of which this scenery is suppose to be located but I look in flight simulator and there is no listing for it. I hate when authors do this. Anyone have this and where does one start to get a good look? Thanks, S.

For the last few months, I've been having problems with the spot plane view in FS9. The view looks like you're looking through a fish-eye lens. I have been unable to find a solution in the view settings. This only happens in spot plane view when I'm using a large(er) airliner - never with a Cessna. I have included a picture, taken from just off the left rear of a Northwest A319-114 at KMSP. The view has been zoomed out as far as possible in Flight Simulator. If there are any further questions, please ask. I'd really like a solution to this issue. Thanks!Mark

I just got a Dell Axim x50v and was wondering what if any uses are possible with FS9 and addons such as PMDG FMC and PSS MCDU display.

I buy the latest version of Lago's FSE specifically to enjoy Lauren Robison's brilliant sceneries. Everything works well. Then I update my DirectX9b to 9c. All the sceneries have vanished. I'm left with Laura's sounds only, in bare default airfields. Her sounds alone also work fine in Orcas Island. But how do I retrieve the sceneries?All Lauren's files are still intact in FSE. Hopeless to get any sense out of Lago support. Can anyone in the forum give me a clue?

I am frustrated with FS9 clouds...i think i have got at least one update file to help improve the look, but still not happy...The issue is visibility in low ceiling conditions. When i enter the cloud layer, i can still see thru the cloud, although a little "grey".This is not realistic, and if visibility is down in the region, of course i don't see very far. Overcast ceiling just turns out to be hazy...I seem to remember that in 2K, that when you entered cloud layer, you were in the soup, no question, with 0 forward visibiliy.(we are talking overcast layers here, typically during IMC approaches, not broken/scattered layers)Anyone have any thoughts or easy fix's? Firstly, Happy Thanksgiving to all over on the other siide of the pond!I use 2 monitors and thought I had a solution to the ATR manual problem with the Flight 1 ATR by flying MSFS on my main monitor and opening the pdf on my secondary. No good - For some reason I immediately lose half the pdf page and sometimes FDS does the old CTD. This seems to be peculiar to MSFS. I've tried various Nvidia monitor profiles but no joy.Anyone out there know of a fix for this - otherwise I'm going to have to find a way of printing 500 pages of the manual.Kev

Like others , I have always found it annoying and difficult to access the PDF file manuals supplied with some complex a/c - you need to have FS2004 running but you also have to be able to read the PDF file. It IS possible with lots of juggling but not much fun. I have tried reducing the size of the Sim in Windowed mode so that I could have the PDF file and the Sim open on the screen at the same time - but that didn't work real well. I especially find it annoying when I am inside the Sim, flying - and I can't remember just one simple little thing about the a/c and I have to go into Windowed mode and then go into Windows Explorer to find the PDF file and open it.So here is …
