The default Beech Baron (and also the Cessna) airspeed indicator has a small button where you can regulate a temperature from -2 to 4 (or 6?). When you turn it ,the white speed strip moves.I flew at 12000 feet with 148 Kias (Tas about 185). When I turned the button to the right-most position the speed indicated by the white strip was 160 (corresponding to the position of the arrow).When i turned it to the left-most position I got 135.So what exactly is this speed? I suppose it is for some temperature-variation?Thanks in advance.Guy

Can anyone help me with a problem with EZ-VFR V2.I reloaded MSFS9 and lost the airport data base in EZI downloaded a free version and entered my purchase key to unlock the full version. Still no data base..I wrote to Abacus tech support and no reply yet.

HiIf I press ctrl+w to have a look at surrounding AI, I only seem to see small GA aircraft, even when surrounded by jets at a busy airport.On returning to my aircraft it is jumping up and down and the scenery textures won't reload.Odd!

Help!! I have just recently encounterd a snag in FS2002, at a random point in flight all directional headings change. For example taking of from the channel islands and flying to Plymouth England all runway headings change. Runway 31 at plymouth England has an approach heading of 309 degrees, this will change to approx 345 degrees.All runway headings for the airport I hav just left will also have changed. In the aircraft I am flying the compass card will also jump.This has appeared to get worse as untill recently this problem only appeared to affect North America. On looking at the map view and clicking on an airport the map view also shows incorrec headings.Th…

I think this aircraft is fantastic.Problem I have with it is that I have recently downloaded a couple of very good Repaints; one by Sascha Rieger plus another by Keith Giveans. Although I followed the Instruction to install them very closely neither of them would show up in the Loadout Manager. Another Repaint by Keith Giveans which I d/l from the FSD Website was accepted. If anyone out out who has this aircraft and has successfully installed Repaints, would they please give me a few pointers, please?Ken,Somerset, Englandwizard01

Is there any place where I can find a chart that shows power settings for the Cessna 172 (or the other aircraft in FS2004) whereby I can determine what power setting (RPM) to use for a specific operating speed, climbs, descents, etc? Thank you.

I am working on a project converting one of the planes (in our flight simulator) to FS9. All the visual is converted now. However, we have our own flight physics code for this aircraft which has more than a few things the FS engine can handle. So, my question is. Is there a way to supply our own flight physics code in a form of a dll to FS9 just for this plane? If there is a way, is there any public information to go about doing this? I know this has been done many times for planes in CFS2 and CFS3, and at least once for FS9. Thnx.

EASY QUESTION PLEASEI HAVE INSTALLED TWO SOUNCARDS INTO MY PC, AND INSTALLED TEAMSPEAK AS WELL (I WAS TOLD TO DO THIS).NOW I WANT TO CONFIGURE IT SO ALL MY ATC COMES OUT OF MY HEADPHONES (ON SECONDARY SOUNDCARD) AND ALL MY FS SOUNDS (ENGINES, FLAPS ETC) COME OUT OF MY SPEAKERS ON THE PRIMARY SOUND CARD.CAN YOU PLEASE ADSVISE ME HOW TO DO THIS?THANKSRUPERT

Just installed the f-16 falcon from the 'years hottest' menu. Most excellent plane, however, the only views I have are spot, tower, and virtual cockpit. How do I get the 'other' cockpit with the guages and other stuff installed? I read and followed the instuctions to the best of my knowledge but there weren't as many folders to copy and paste as in the instuctions. Any help greatly appreciated...

When unzipping a downloaded file, is it possible to just unzip to the 'aircraft' file on MSFS 2004? It worked with one downloaded plane but not with the other two.And, what happened with the other two that I did the same thing to?Any clues?Thanks so much in advance.AL

I bought this panel from SkyDecks and must say it is a very pleasant cockpit, sounds and flight model. The VC is part of the freeware POSKY CRJs that work with the panel, and you can install a freeware sound set. All in all, a very nice addition if you want an easier to process 40 passenger commercial jet. The 2D panel is elegant and highly functional, if not overly complex. I love this bird and highly recommend it. Can't say I'm very good at landing it though--need a bit more practice.Noel

I have been very satisfied with the CS727 (despite the tiny 2D engine gauges) and am considering the CS707 now. Does anybody here have it and if so, is it...brilliant? Is it better than the 727 in any respects? Or just different? How clear are the cockpit gauges?Appreciate any posts with opinions on the early "Queen of the Skies."Thanks!Js

Are there any multi-throttle joysticks for two or four engines?

I have just downloaded a few excellent Airbus packages, POSKY, iFDG, Aerodesigns. From a personal standpoint I like VC's, and the one that comes with the POSKY versions is the Eric Mastrioni? version, which takes some activating. Are there any others around now? Also one of the Aeroplanes was a superb A300 600R from Aerodesigns, it refers to a panel.cfg, but I cannot find one, anyone else got this and if so, did you get the 2D (which is none existent) and the VC to work with gauges (which are none existent).Any help on this would be really appreciated.ThanksPaul

Hi guys, is it just me or does anyone else out there has issues with ILS on that airport in FS9? It looks like the ILS tracks a "virtual" centerline that is about 1.5 widths to the right between the runway and the first parallel taxiway. At first I thought a 34 knot crosswind would be why but then I tried it with fair weather and got the same. I've flown the POSKY 757-200 many times, this is the first time this occured. Any help would be appreciated.Nick

I attempted to use an apparently unsupported screen resolution in my hardare settings and managed to create a jumbled mess of video noise and now everytime I try to load the game it is caught at that resolution. I checked my flight sim config file and it still says 1600x1200 so that is still good. I'm out of ideas short of reinstalling.
