I wanted to change a particular livery for my CRJ-200 and wanted to know what airlines in all are covered within FS' ATC system. I would like to see if SkyWest is listed.Noel

Hello, often you read an airline orders xx new aircraft to renew the fleet or they completely switch from B0ing to Airbus or vice versa.Or many airlines tend to go bankrupt and the banks sells all nuts and bolts, inlcuding the whole fleet. Now I wonder where are all these "used" A318-A340 for sale ?Is there something like eBay for airliners somewhere ?

Dudley HenriquesInternational Fighter Pilots FellowshipCommercial Pilot. CFI RetiredSomeone asked about rudder control on takeoff. The Spitfire with a Griffon/5 blade Rotol combination is probably the ultimate challenge on takeoff for a pilot flying hot props. The Mustang with the Merlin V1650-7 and either the Hamilton Standard or an Aeroproducts prop is hard enough to handle at a takeoff power setting of 61" and 3000RPM, but the Griffon Spitfire is in a class even above the P51. You ham hand a Griffon, and the term Pilot in Command transfers immediately to the Spitfire instead of you! Here's how to handle a Griffon on takeoff.First of all, for the simulator, RealAir has mo…

Is there any airport database viewing tool that can be used to cull through the vast numbers of airports in FS, I can't seem to find any. I am looking for a specific location in North America that I took a flight to but can no longer find. It was a wonderful little paved runway in the depths of a valley. I figure if I can look at a database of all the airports, I can apply some "filters" to narrow down the search list and find my Shangri-La, again.Help is appreciated.Paul Scott Bartelt

I noted in Avsim a program "Speed Up 0.7" by Henning Schaefar. This is a Beta program. Does anyone have any experience using this progragm? It supposidly will increase the fps by 30%+ by closing down unecessary programs running in the background, and hyping up the RAM used to run FS9.Since this program is in its Beta stage I want to know if anyone has tried it, and their opinion.Thank you.Stanner

I was reading through the Norton thread and noticed many people have hesitations about not using virus software. I wanted to contribute, but didn't want to hijack the thread, so I'll just say it here-Anti-virus programs are generally good to have, but if you are really after framerates and resources, they do tend to be hogs. Norton being the worst, Mcafee is up there- anyway-I need to say this: A firewall or router is MANDATORY. Even the built in one will work. Don't even think about plugging in your cable modem without some kind of port blocking. The cheapest way is to turn on the XP firewall. And yes it will block the 445 port inbound- but only on the external inte…

There are a TON of great looking Spitfire schemes out there and I'm sure they would look great on this new RealAir Spitfire, fictional or not!In addition, I wouldn't painting some civilian not-so military skins for my Spit (for when I do my cross country tour). Thanks!:)

Anybody care to offer an opinion about how the Ariane B737 Sounds are?If the sounds are worth it, I would pay for it. There really seem to be a lack of good B737 soudns available. Any help would appreciated. And please don't ask me to search, as I have already tried that. Not many people talk about the sounds. I own the PMDG Next Gen and I fly the FFX Classic B737s. I work with these airplanes everyday and IMO, I don't think PMDG got the engine sounds correct. The rest of their package is outstanding.

Have installed Richard's great panel with the new Cantu 727. All is working except the XML icons/popups which were part of the fs2002 panel upgrade are missing. Anyone know how I could add these without messing up his latest panel version for fs9 (I downloaded the latest panel from his website added this month/not the "pn4" panel upgrade from fs2002 panel and it does not have the xml gauges). Any help appreciated!

They are among the slowest available on the net; surely such a masterpiece deserves fast moving needles to fly it on the numbers.....I hope the 707 scores way better......

LOL- Okay just kidding (somewhat) although I can manage my money well- I must say the quality of some recent payware aircraft releases are really breaking the limit and making new standards for FS aircraft- just makes juggling the checking debt card a bit tricky ;) THANK YOU ALL for some really EXCELLENT works of art!Especially but not limited to:PMDG 737NGFlight 1 ATR (Although I don't have it yet it LOOKS and I hear is FANTASTIC!)PMDG B1900RealAir Spitfire and SF260EDIT- PSS Concorde - Again don't have it but have heard great thingsKeep up the great work and cannot wait to see what you do next!

Is there a way to know where your gate is when you select it in FS? For example, if I choose MEDIUM GATE 4 at an airport where is it? Terminal A... B?? I seem to remember a utility once that would extract airport info from .bgl files and generate a map that included those parking spots. Ring a bell? Is there a better way? I just choose a gate, then go to spot view and look around to figure out where I am. As I figure it out, I make a note on my airport diagrams for next time. But, is that info available somewhere that I am missing?? Thanks!EddieKABQ
