Has anyone been able to get to the FSFDT website these couple of days? Did they change web address?

The current FS 9 training flights have a number of SERIOUS problems:(1) The instructions are sometimes confusing and/or poorly timed. For example, lesson 3. For whatever reason, sometimes I'm able to go throught the "flaps" training part of it and sometimes not. It seems to depend on the precise timing and order of deploying the flaps and the text messages sometimes conflict with the voice message (it's not clear what to do at time x). If you don't time it right, the lesson just completely ignores you. Of course the well-known "check ride" training mission is another example. (2) Because of the above, the lessons should be made a LOT shorter, so that if there's a screw up…

Not sure how I did this one. This is Shez SNA2004 near the apron around 19L and 19R. What is this "white" area? I must have deleted a texture file somewhere. Could someone please tell me how to fix this?Thanks!Airbushttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/97869.jpg

I've read that in FS9 it is possible to save gauges in a corresponding aircraft folder. How does it work, guys? Any guidelines/recommendations here? My main Guage folder has grown too large and I'm afraid soon I'll start having overwrite options in the Gauge folder when installing new aircrafts which is not good.Thanks.

There was a thread on installing a second copy of FS9 on a second drive on the same computer.The main talk was of installing a second OS on the same computer but one person cliamed to have three working copies of FS9 on his computer.He merely renamed the FS9 route directory and then installed the new version. Once installed he renamed the original version back and gave a new name to the new version.I have followed this and installed onto D drive but am getting a message "cannot find the FS9 registry tree was it installed properly.Any help on how to do this installation? and what ive done wroung?Thanks Peter

I have all my saved flights from FS2002 on a CD. Am I able to load these flight plans on to FS2004 with no problems? Another question, I have created a few flight plans since installing 2004 a few days ago. When I go to the airport, I am on the wrong runway, to what the controller is telling me. Also when I try to go to the tower, the atc will not let me go there, it just keeps sending me back to the ground control option, can anyone help. One other thing, I set the weather for let's say snow, creating the weather myself, I will be sitting on the runway waiting to take off and all of a sudden the snow just stops. any suggestions. I am getting a little frustrated with 2004…

Has anyone watched the video '... Interview with the MSFS Team' that is on the main AVSIM page? Does it give us any insight or info that most of us don't know? Anything of FS2006 (wishful thinking, eh?)RH

Does anyone know of any files for the following for Fs2004?1. A Radar Scope file to display AI aircraft while you are flying.2. A tow truck to pushback aircraft at the gate. I see there are "gauges" to assist in this but I'm looking for the tow vihicle like in Lago for FS2002. Thanks Jerrycwo4

I just got X-Plane and noticed that the engines on their 747 and 777 spool up (and down) alot quicker then the engines on our FS9 aircraft. The FS aircraft seem to have a very sluggish throttle. I assume from what I have heard that the X-Plane models are more realistic, so my question is: is there a way to increase the throttle sensitivity in FS2004? I already have my FS9's throttle setting turned all the way up with 0 null zone. I am using a CH Yoke (USB).

does this thing have a autopolit that works. Like all the planes inFS2004, I like long true timed flights!!!

Does anyone know what determines when an AI plane turns on its cabin, taxi, and tail lights at nite? I ask because a few days ago while spotting at KSEA I noticed some AI would turn on thier taxi, and tail lights as they taxiied to the active, and others would wait until they were cleared for takeoff before turning thier lites on. They all turned thier NAV lights on prior to taxi, and thier strobes on after being cleared for takeoff. Thanks for any help!!

Does such a thing exist? I'm looking for a kind of a "kill switch" that would allow you, without leaving the sim, to quickly reduce scenery and ai traffic and weather when you are on approach, realizing that your framerates are about to go south.ricardo

I'm looking for a good version of this aircraft for fs2k4. I don't care if I have to pay for it but if I do, I want it to be worth it. I want a version that I can download, not wait for weeks/pay extra for postage.Must have fully clickable virtual cockpit with realistic panels and all the trimmings.Would really appreciate some help with this, have looked everywhere without success.ThanksScholly

I don't know if I have the wrong perception here - but looking at the most popular downloads for the past 12 months in the AVSIM library and those in the FLIGHTSIM library, there seems to be a noticeable difference in emphasis. It seems to me that the ones in the Flightsim library are heavily slanted towards military a/c. Don't know why - maybe average age of the people who frequent the sites?Now lets not start any fights or bashing here - but I thought that the difference is quite interesting. I must admit to enjoying some of the military jets -- I would like to see some aspects of a military Sim incorporated into FS200X. One problem I have had when trying out military …

Okay...I've been fighting with this for 2 hours. I am posting here because this doesn't seem to be specific to any addon.When I try to go back to full screen after windowing FS9 to start either Squawkbox or Radar Contact 3.1, I get a black screen and a flickering hourglass. A check of the task manager shows that FS9 is still running. I have now seen this consistently for more than 2 hours...first time it's happened was in the last day or so, but I was able to restart the whole thing and get it to work on the second try before.It happens with add on planes and default. I have the British Aerospace Bae 146 model by Jon Murchinson. I have difficulty taxing since the front wheels do not turn. In order to turn I must use the rudder and alerion, which means I have to speed up to about 35mph to have any turning effect.I have the same problem with the Bae 146Q model (freight).Does anyone have this same problem? Ok, I've been under the assumption that it is not possible to fly anything other than vectored approaches. However, A few people have led me to believe that after you are given instructions to begin the approach, that the ATC menu includes published arrivals. I am going to check this out tonight, but can't right now, and wanted to see if anybody else could elaborate on this.Is it true? Can I fly a STAR with FS9 ATC?

After recently aquiring the CH Throttle Quadrant, I have been experiencing big problems with control assignments. At the moment, on the CH Flightsim Yoke am attempting to delete a pre-determined VIEW assignment for the two red buttons on the left side of the wheel. Going into FS9 Options ---> Controls ---> Assignments and deleting the joystick assignments just does not work. Also using a full registered FSUIPC which is helpful, but just simply cannot delete some of these unwanted assignments. There must be another .cfg or .ini file somewhere to make requested changes ?

Is there a setting that places the aircraft at a starting point but with the engines OFF, seems like FS starts everything up and running, no challenge, please let me know how to change Thanks
