This payware add-on sounds great., but when flying the jet how are the force feedback sensations. Does it feel like you are flying a real heavy on the joystick, for example?Thanks for any opinions out there Dan

OK. I know there is a Forum dedicated to tech questions and flight sims.But, maybe I won't violate the policy by asking here.After doing all the AI work for KORD in FS9 last night, my machine was brought profoundly to its knees.Frame rate was probably around 1.5.I have to upgrade.What is the best single upgrade I can pursue to increase FPS?I may just do a sequential upgrade, motherboard, processor, video card, RAM over the next 6 months.Current system= P4A 2G, 512 RAM, GeForce 3Ti200 64mg video card, Intel mobo.Any suggestions from those experienced in the area?Thanks!!Hope I'm not being too blatant in the violation department. HelloI`ve been thinking of asking this for awhile but with the release of SkyWorld2004 I think it` time to ask.I`d like to ask the community to to ask the great folks at Avsim to provide for a forum section for all the great works that have come from the most selfless group of simmers that I know.Their contributions are legion and know no other group that is more deserving.Now I know that there will be plenty of support questions but once in awhile there will be a post (once in a lifetime screenshot) that will really show how much Chris has added to our FS experience and show FSW how much they are appreciated.Thank YouTroy

There are many of you who have unfairly posted criticisms of PSS products. Now take a look at their new release of Concorde and try to do anything but praise it. If you mange to do so you would have great difficulty in justifying any criticisms.

Really need some help !!Never saw an easier add-on to install but as you may have guessed I installed and tried to run but "nothing" Uninstalled and now all I get is the Microsoft window that says it encountered an erroe and wants to notify Microsoft, but the program (FS9) will no longer start. This is a first for me !!!ANY HELP !!!!THANKS TONY

HiI use FS9.1, AS2004.5 (B147), and this is something strange that is happening ever since i installed FSSKYWORLD 2004.I have taken off from EGGDSee pic1 : Here everything seems normal..... I have downloaded the software but have never used it yet, since I don't know how to install it and I can't find any tutorial with the instructions. I have WideFS installed and I would run this program in the secondary PC. Thanks,Leo

I notice that a post asking for user experience/comparison of the PSS and Altitude Concorde products was moved to the PSS forum.PSS reserve the right to decide what posts are displayed on their forum. I have no problem with that, but I don't think I am going to see many posts there which rate the Altitude product above the PSS one :) (I don't have either product yet so I have no opinion to offer either way).I suggest comparison threads are retained in the more public forums, and that threads are only moved to the supplier forums if they are solely concerned with that supplier's product.What do others think?--Bryn

I have a three-monitor setup using WideView. I have two computers. On one computer I would like to open two FS windows, drag one to the far left screen, and keep one on the right screen. I then want to change the views to the outside - right and left while keeping the forward view with instruments on the server monitor.How do I open more than one window in FS. The view mode settings only allow for things like spot, tower, and the like and you can open different views within the main window. But, how do I configure two separate FS windows with two different views (L & R outside)? Note, in the old versions of FS you could use keystrokes to mimic the hat switch. F…

Hi,because any post at the PSS forum needs some time to get released, if ever, I seek here for help by other customers.I have managed to start the engines, that was tought. The manuals are huge, much more to read than the manuals of any other PSS releases.But when I am airborn, I push the right buttons of the autopilot --- end nothing happens but autothrottle works. Nothing else works. When I drive the trim manualy, the concorde is very very sensitiv with that and pitches a lot.I never piloted a concorde myself... So I dont know why the trim is so jumpy. But could someone tell me how to activate the autopilot, so that HDG select, altitude capture etc. works?

You should know there are other FREE programs that do the same thing. One is ScreenPrint32 at http://www.screenprint32.com. You can print or save the image in jpg, gif, bmp or png formats. Although I know what constant speed propellers are and how they work, I'm still a little confused how to use them correctly.Sure, there are tables describing the relationship between RPM and torque/MP for different flight stages, but what do I have to set between?E.g. I did some flights with the Aerosoft DHC-2, and though for most flight phases the numbers are really helpful, there are times when I need to greatly deviate from them - and I don't have any numbers for these situations.My understanding is that e.g. one doesn't have a sensible impression (through 'feeling' or 'hearing') if an RPM is too low for a given torque, which would ruin the engine in the long term.So w…

I just finished watching the 727 promo vid from Dreamfleet, and must say it looks nice. I noticed the price and purchase link are about to be made active! Anyhow, after seeing a few of these wonderful videos, like the two Level-D 767 vids, I got to thinking. Some of them are only music and the aircraft sound is left out or only added to a small portion of the video. I would like to be able to see these with the aircraft sounds, such as GPWS, Traffic warnings, engine sounds, ect...Just seems strange to watch but not hear anything but music. Hearing the sounds really gives more of a feel to the add-on.Anyone else agree?

Hi all,I'm looking for a good payware military jet. Which do you guys gals consider must haves when it comes to payware fighter jets. I have the Captain Sim F-104 and really enjoy it. Is there Mig 21 any good in FS 2004? I've looked at Lago's site and they seem to have quite a few to chose from. Just wondering what you guys gals recommended.Thanks,Hawk

Hello,After a search and red many topics I do not find what I am looking for.Is there a way using a keyboard key to force the ground textures to reload?From time to time the Quality of my ground textures is decreasing , FPS is dropping from 20 to 4 or 5 and I have to wait a "certain time" ( up to 2 mnutes) before the quality becomes again normal (to my standards).Thanks in advance

Dear Jeffg,I was reading a thread lower down about the Ariane 737 900 VCe and saw that you had the same problems I am having with the Navdata and loading of flight plans. Could you please tell me what you did to sort it out, I have sent numerous emails but not had a reply yet possibly due to the fact that they just released the new 600 VCe. Has anyone flown Joe Binka's Grumman Widgeon? This "flying boat" makes me smile everytime I fly it, especially the sounds. However, it has no decent panel, in either the 2D cockpit, or the VC. Does anyone know of a freeware panel for both the 2D and VC that I could download? I've done a search in the library but have come up with nothing, unless I'm entering something wrong within the parameters for the search engine.The same thing goes for Mike Stone's PBY Catalina.And as an aside, do these aircraft not have GPS capabilities? You'd think a search and rescue craft would.

This is probably a newbie question but:When I increase the resolution of the fs 9 in my hardware settings, the user interface becomes smaller (main screen where you select "create flight", "training missions" etc). Is there a way to increase the resolution but still keep the same size of user interface (so it does not shrink and you cannot read much of anything in the inbuilt library)?Maybe it's a setting in the cfg file?Thanks.

Just loaded FS 2004 on my computer, I have had it forever, but have been happy with 2002, so I never loaded it. Question about weather, if I customize the weather myself, I start off in a snowstorm, but when I get to the destination airport it is not snowing. If you put in your own weather in 2002, that same weather at the departure airport would be the same at the destination airport. I know I am doing something wrong. Can anyone help. Thanks. Andrew
