Is it normal for the throttle levers to be slightly out of sync? I have configured my throttle quadrant for a twin engine jet set up, with two of the throttle axis operating each engine independently.I have calibrated and recalibrated (both in the game and the CH Control Manager) and yet in the game I still have to set one throttle slightly forward of the other to achieve an equal percentage of thrust.I have calibrated using the detent position as the minimum.Would this be the normal functioning of the throttles in a real world twin engine jet?

For those who dropped Zonealarm Free firewall because of connection probs, especially with WXP, the new freeware zonealarm works great:ZoneAlarm version:5.5.062.000I disabled the XP internal firewall in favor of this one and it is working great. As I understand it, ZA protects against outgoing as well as incoming problems.Sherm

I can't shutdown the engines in the T37 according to the checklist. After setting the fuel system to emergency the engine ice warning light never turns on. And switching of fuel boost pump and then inverter and battery won't shut down the engines. The T37 support don't answer this. Any T37 owner who can help here?

I never cease to be amazed by the quality of freeware aircraft. The Tu-144 available on Avsim today is truly amazing.I had all kinds of plans for this morning, but it's 3 pm and I am still tring to get to grips with this beauty.2D cockpit only but that suits me fine (not a great fan of VCs).Only problem I encountered was the dismal frame rates in the 2D cockpit (3-4 FPS as opposed to 19-20 with other aircraft).Changed my screen definition to a higher format and I now get 8-10 fps in 2D.Shouldn't be such a hit in the 2D cockpit though. Could be one or more gauges causing the problem.I'll get back ro my Konkordski now. Made my Sarurday. (sad? :-))

Hi, one of the things I really enjoy about FS9 is flying online. My prefered method is through VATSIM. I've been a part of virtual airlines before ... some good, some not so good. I enjoy alot of realism. One thing that is "real" that can't really be re-created in a VA is a busy airport. Some thoughts I've had is about a virtual airport ... with virtual FBO's and other facilities on it.Take for an example an airport such as Midway in Chicago. It could host any number of airlines. It could also host flying clubs, an FBO where virtual GA pilot's could stop for gas ... or virtual lunch. Maybe even a flight school where people learn to fly the sim in 172's.Corporate pilot's co…

There are several planes in the process of being modeled and like me, you have your credit card ready to buy the minute they roll off the line. For me it would be Capt Sim C-130 and the FSD C-337 Skymaster.

Hi,another problem of mine:ServInfo 2.02 won't connect to any network to download the data.I am using anACER Aspire 1356Lci LaptopWindowsXP Homeon a Linksys Router.I know the configuration of the router is correct, as ServInfo runs perfectly on any of the other PCs without any errors. Can anyone tell me which port ServInfo uses to connect to the VATSIM / IVAO servers. Maybe I can forward this port through the router. Thanks,Robert

Hi,I just updated my flightsim and I was very pleased by the result. The updated only created one small problem: Framerates in 2d cockpit view will not go over 10 fps!My system configuration:ACER Aspire 1356LCi (Laptop)AMD 2600+512MB RAMATI Radeon 9700 64MB VRAMIt's an interesting change in performance, as I got best framerates in 2d view before the update. Now I can pull almost all the sliders to the right and get 25fps (locked) in every other view except 2d...Maybe someone can help me with this problem?Cheers,Robert

The last two flights, different aircraft, different airports, both ended up with the aircraft dipping nose down about when it's time to do your flare, making it almost impossible to get the nose up in time. Manual flying--no autopilot involved. Any clues?Noel

In a previous post reply relative to enditall, I made the statement that Autostart did not shut down all of my programs and that I shut the remainder down with enditall.MY STATEMENT IS IN ERROR and Autostart WILL SHUT THEM ALL DOWN!I do not know how I missed these line items for selection in Autostart, but every one that was in question to me was there. Blind as a bat I Guess. (Blame it on age).My most sincere apology to Ken for my misleading reply. Thanks for the great program Ken:RTH

I have the T37 tweet and when power is at idle it's not possible to taxi. The plane is simply going to fast. The support tells me this isnormal because of a bug in FS. How do you other owners of this T37 do about this?I find this to be a rather serious flaw for a plane that cost $30.

Anyone know of a (preferably freeware) Learjet 31 or 35a with transparent windows that will work with Fs2004/Fs9?...If not, how about some small twin jet of the same size?..Got a Citation II(550), Elcipse 500 and Chuck dome's Bj400....

After some testing I found the flight models of the default aircraft unrealistic although I thought they were more realistic before. (I have only owned FS2004 for a week now)Clean take-offs were not possible with 5 degree flap settings and trim set at authorized speeds to rotate. The Meljet a/c were a little worse (but beutiful-so much better than the standard FS 777 model...Melvin Rafi should make the 777 model for FS 2006 Microsoft contract him!).The Project Open Sky aircraft (757 tested) was the most realistic with clean take-offs possible.I suggest Microsoft work their aircraft so their aircraft perform to specs......their manuals suggest aprox. 150 KTS for 737 and 777…

I hope there is because it looks brilliant!Please advice!!Thanx :)Meljet 777 download:http://www.meljet.com/flightsim/Boeing777V2/download-773.htmhttp://www.meljet.com/flightsim/Boeing777V...MJ777-C-06S.jpghttp://www.meljet.com/flightsim/Boeing777V...MJ777-A-12S.jpg

I downloaded the latest repaint of CX 744 here the other day (love it!) but am dismayed to observe that I get N1 surging on approach to the destination rwy. This has happened to me using POSKY 744s for at least 2 years now and I can never figure out why. It doesn't happen with any other add-on 744. The N1 rises and falls over a range of about 20-25% and the IAS fluctuates by 3 to 5 knots. It's not enough to totally destabilize the a/c but it does cause distraction. I don't get it. What would cause this on only the POSKY 744 model for me?JS

Hello All,I have to load my flight in from a situation file because I have the Parhelia video card and I have to resize the panels because it is running at 3078 x 768. How do you change the Aircraft variation in a .STN file? If I load the .STN file and switch aircraft, I loose all the panel sizing. Or is there away to set these panel sizes by editing the Panel.cfg or other .cfg files for the aircraft (Flight Ones ATR 72)?I have looked at the .STN file and can't seem to find where it resets the panel sizes and variation of aircraft. Thanks!Barry

Somehow I feel that FS2004 is somehow lacking in this area.I Remember back in FS98 (I think) there was an Italian Guy (forgotten his name something Migliola I think?)He had a site of created adventures and had one where you started in Midflight at cruise level. You had a choice of flying four Stars into Rome airport. The Atc had live recordings with background aircraft chatter and the whole thing was very realistic to a final landing. One approach had an unexpected windshear.Adventures have taken a backward step in FS2004. There has been a commercial release of approaches in situation files but nothing like the realism of past versions.I personally like a position where you…
