Hi allNow that everyone except me has moved to FS9, are any companys selling off 2K2 aircraft/scenery at discount prices? I've had a look around (PSS would be nice for their A320, but I'm on Win ME) but may have missed something.Any recommendations appreciated!Gavin

About one year ago, I ordered paper copies of the Terminal Procedure publications directly from the FAA for US airports including Alaska and Hawaii. While each area booklet was relatively inexpensive, the total for the area I wanted was not.So this fall, I decided to try MyAirplane.com's DVD equivalent. I am delighted with what my $15 purchased. The .pdfs clear and print as clear (and bigger) than the FAA originals. The inroute maps can be zoomed and panned and are also as clear as the originals. Belgium VFR Sceneryhttp://users.skynet.be/belg7000/index.htmlI have to say that this is one of the best works of art I have seen in a scenery package! It's got everything: roads, railways, rivers, lakes and coastlines are now fairly standard in a VFR package. But they go several steps further: 3d landmarks - everywhere, motorway grass verges, racetrack circuits, quarries, refineries, hey I'm sure there's a kitchen sink in there too!It's free, it's around 15MB, it's frame rate friendly and it deserves to be trumpeted as a masterpiece!Go get it!Anthony

I see model file names like these in many of the downloads I get for POSKY aircraft...762_ge_t1b2762_ge_t1b3762_ge_t1b13762_ge_t1b23762_ge_t1d1b23762_ge_t1sd1b23762_ge_t13sd1b3Yet they all seem to work with the same textures and my un-discerning eye can't tell any difference in the end result.So, besides being a 767-200 with GE engines, does anyone know what the significance of the rest of the file name is. I downloaded a file tonight that had one set of textures and fourteen different models. Each apparently the same except for some nuance in the model. Sure would like any insight you haveThanksBobL

i've read the checklists and flight notes but am still a bit confused on this so can anyone tell me the speeds i need to be at on the downwind, base and final approach for the kingair 350? also i need to know WHEN to drop the approach flaps. i got the part to drop full flaps a few hundred ft above the ground. thanks, william

I have a question that maybe someone has an answer.......when we start a flight, runsay or from park, the plane is already running....is there a setting that starts with the plane cold and dark?? Is there a change in cfg files that will force all aircraft to be off when we take over?? Comments will be appreciated Thanks

Right now I am using the default 737 panel and default 777 panel in the new SGA DC-9's, 717's, and MD-80's (I haven't gotten around to finding and installing the right panel for these planes yet)My question is can flight dynamics of a plane change or be affected by using a panel not made for a specific plane? (like the defaut 777 panel in a MD-80)Also can you guys recomend a good MD-80, DC-9, and 717 panel? (freeware ones for now)

Right now I use a Microsoft Sidewinder Precision 2 joystick, but I am going to need a new one soon. The rudder control on this joystick is not responding very good (like I will turn the rudder left and instead of returing to center quickly it will stay left for a few seconds)What joystick would you recommend? Something in the price range of $50-$100.I heard the Microsoft does not make joysticks any more, is that true?

Does anyone know why some of these bgl files are lighter in color than the others? What causes it and what is needed to remedy it?Thanks

I must have a bad mesh file somewhere and I was hoping that someone might have encountered this same problem. The area around my Cleveland area is loaded with elevated lakes, hills, airports, etc. My Cleveland airport by Ansari is also elevated! The city of Cleveland sits next to a huge cliff! What terrible sights! I am using PA mesh, which I removed and it did not solve the problem. Anyone have this problem?Thanks!Airbus

Hello all :)I fly the MelJet 777 a lot and what can I say..I luv it!Im a wing-view fanatic and thats when I noticed something with the MJ777. When I look to the rear-right (Numpad 3) I see the wing and the enginebut I also see an incomplete portion of the cabin :(Can someone please tell me how to make that cabin disappear so I only see the right wing and engine? (Left wing-view is normal)See attached screenshot!Thank you :)

I seem to remember some way to reset the outside view.I hit some button because now my plane looks kind of "stretched" at times.. It's hard to explain but if you've seen this then you know what I mean.. There was some key sequence to set it back..Does anyone know what I'm talking about and remember how to do it?Thanks!Jeff

Hi,Wonder what you all consider the best 737 Sim out there..I had the 737-400 from Dreamfleet in 2002, was great, but will not work in 2004..at least that is what I have read. Soooo if you have any suggestions, please let me know..I have the PMDG installed, but sure would like to find something better. Am while I have you all here, when one saves a flight when flying the PMDG Aircraft, and comes back to it at a later date, the poor aircraft has lost most of its auto pilot settings..any solutions or should I go to the PMDG Forum ???MAny thanks to all...Jim (LONEDOVE)Mesa, Arizona

Hello everybody,I have something strange going on in Fs9 and I wonder if anybody has a clue what would be causing it.Let me explain:When I start Fs9 and select or create a flight, everything goes as planned until I stand on the runway.There, for some reason my trim goes beserk and drops down. (as if pulled by gravity).In a Cessna, the only indication is the trimwheel but on larger planes I can see the complete horizontal tail (not only the elevator) dropping. When it reaches rockbottom, there's no way I can get it centered again and if I succeed, it starts dropping again as soon as I release the numpad 1 key.Before someone starts calling me stupid. To all of you that helped me troubleshoot the problem I was having, Thank You!!!The problem ended out being the Alienware desktop program called AlienGeus (Something like that). Any way once I un-installed it FS9 worked just fine and I can select the option sliders again. Good thing I didn't have to format the HD and start all over again. So if any of you are thinking of running those Object based desktop programs, DON'T do it if you want to run FS9!!! There is a locked topic further down entitled " Military Option".Whilst I don't agree with all the suggestions put forward in the post and can possibly understand why it has been locked - there are however two things mentioned which I feel many would love to see included in FS.These two (hopefully non- controversial )items are Aircraft Carrier ops ( I know addons are available - I have them) to a good standard and with the option to be able to move the carriers around. I recently bought the first install of the austrian airports series. Installed it as per instructions, but I don't think I'm seeing what I am supposed to be seeing. Aircraft taxi and park on the grass, etc. Emailed the designer, didn't get a reply. Scenery is listed in the scenery list of FS9.Anybody here has this scenery? Weird & wonderful scenic scenery sites and sights.I have run across several unusual sites and wonderful sights in the world of Microsoft Simulator.These include the nice work done on the city of Las Vegas and special buildings such as the Taj Mahal, the Pyramidds in Egypt, the fireworks on July 4th in Seattele, Niagara Falls, the working rides on Coney Island, the Grand Canyon and the list goes on.There are also some weird sites, like the airports located within a volcano(for example SESM in Ecuador) and my latest discovery: the small canyon off Stockton Lake in Missouri that is more than 2 miles deep.When you land the amphibian on the water the altimeter will show -1…
