i did it!!! i finally actually installed some freeware aircraft AND installed the panels too plus the gauges! never in a million years did i think i could do it. the problem now is what am i going to do with them all?!!! i got around ten altogether but have only installed a few so far. the first one is the dash8 from dreamwings design i think it is and the dash8 panel by marco spada. big applause for them! a job well done. another awesome one is the eclipse500. it's the latest in the new digital mfd format, for me anyway. a big thanks. another is the pilatus, haven't installed it yet but looks to be a winner. i know you guys have tons of addons but my hands are full with …

Hi to all! For first, excuse me for my bad English... I have a big problem with FS2K4: when I press the S key from the 2D cockpit, it can happen that the view go directly to external view and the Virtual cockpit and the tower view disappear!!! The only mode for go back in normal conditions is restart the simulator: this happen with default aircrafts and with add-on... Where is the problem? Many Thanks!!! Yoshimi

Why was the Concorde left out of FS since FS2002?FS2000 had the Concorde and a few features, but Microsoft left out those features and the Concorde in FS2002.Why couldn't they include it. Too much work to bring it into 2002?

Hello, I see quite a few people have downloaded my FS2004 Night Time and hopefully MOST people can use it and like it. However, I have gotten a handful of email messages stating they cannot run the program because it cannot find FS9.CFG. I have found this will happen for people that may have Windows installed on their C: drive and Flight Simulator installed on a different drive such as D:. This will also happen for international users who have of course their native language installed.This was an oversight on my part when I was trying to make it easy to install for the user without any directory selection from the user and I do apologize but I will continue working…

Hi,I upgraded my computer from these specs:P4 1.7GHZMSI GEFORCE 5200FX 128MB256MB RDRAMTO THAT ONE:P4 3GHZ512 DDRRAMMSI NEO-2 MOTHERBOARDSAME VIDEO CARDI was expecting to see at least 10-20fps increase so that i can have about 30fps at dense airports ,weather, etc.............And OH MY GOOOOOD I didnt get a single FPS increase, same FPS as my old PC, sometimes lower ........HOW CAN THAT BE I DONT GET ITI KNOW MY VGA IS THE WORST BUT HOW COME THIS INCREASE IN CPU SPEED AND RAMS DOESNT HAVE ANY ANY ANY EFFECT ON FPS

As a hardened but strictly amateur tweaker, I'm always on the look out for an improvement in performance, whether it be frame rates or just as importantly, eliminating stutters.It has occurred to me that I have tended to alias AI aircraft to sound packs I originally downloaded for flyable aircraft - and some of these are huge.I have searched the forums - does anyone have any information how sounds associated with AI aircraft affects performance?If there is no Sound folder or Sound alias within an AI aircraft, presumably it is altogether silent? After days of finally fixing my CTDs (I learned a lot, some things I discovered only by incidence, but now my sim runs smooth like a baby's arse), I'm wondering if the scenery anomalies I have are normal:I use R. Hello,We are planning to build a FNPT1 category Cessna 172R simulator in Estonia and we are planning to get JAA certification for it. The instruments we want to use are SimKits ones and the software is currently planned to be MSFS. Some people are saying that it doesn't, at least in USA, qualify to operate a training device, but at least from JAA docs and talks with professionals we haven't found anything that blocks running a certificated sim with Microsoft FS software. The requirements seem to meet the possibilities of MSFS. They are anyway saying that for certifying, a software must run in the sim for 2-3 hours that prints out graphs of testing results of software. Now…

Hi All,I seem to be having a problem with afcad and can sure use some help.I have downloaded some new afcad files for airports and saved themin FS9 addon scenery/scenery folder. They do indeed appear as a modified file above the original. When I create a flight the newgates are there and everything seems to be fine. The main problemis that the ATC does not use the runways I have selected. It vectorsme to runways that I have checked "closed for landing". I cannoteven select a new runway from the list because they are not there.I have tried removing the file and going back to the original, butthe ATC uses the wrong runways with that file also. What is the proper method of removing or uninstalling the new FS9 patch? I see nothing in the windows add and remove capability, or any other conventional provision. I would like to remove and reinstall the patch. I did not go back to my default fs9.exe before installation and do not show the upgrade for this file.Thanks:RTHEdit Correction:I found it. The patch installed an uninstall file in the root directory a few files below fs9.exe

Dear Friends:I love the new active ske 2004.5 version, but for some reason, especially at dawn, the clouds always "flicker" in the distance. They never do this when I am not using active sky. Well. I've had a long break from FS... since SFO was released by Fly Tampa actually. Anywho, I'm ready to jump back in. Some of you may have noticed that I made a West Coast AFCAD Package... that was some-what of a success (you tell me) and now it's time to cover another large portion of the United States. So... I'm asking: what airports do you want. The region I will be covering this time is what's in the "mountain" time zone. I have yet to think of a title for this package, ideas are appreciated. Well, that's what I would like to cover anyways. What airports do you want in this package? Last time I had 17 and I'm willing to outdo myself... Let's get this package rolling…

Morning ;) ...After reading through the recommendations from other flyers I wanted to try this panel myself and downloaded the entire package plus the two fixes from Stellan's web site. However, I am getting a CTD either right after selecting an aircraft fitted with this panel from the menu, or when I click on the "Go Fly" button on the main screen.Is there anything I might have missed? If so, I'd be very glad for any help :) .Thanks,

Guys,as I havn't read about it here, did you notice that there have been some major changes to speed up the AI and avoid go-arounds. I notice things like two planes on a runway at the same time (no I do not mean the position and hold, but a plane landing while the other one hasn't vacated the RW yet).Alex

Hopefully somebody can help me with the Night Time mod for FS9 that just came out by Carmine D'Amore. I didn't read the readme and uninstalled the program before setting defaults. And now I can't get the default night lighting back in fs9.1! I tried trashing the fs9.cfg file to no luck. Can anyone help? The VC is too dark and at big very well lit airports black texture ai airplanes just doesn't look right. Everything else looks awesome though but if anybody can help getting the default lighting back I would appreciate it. Thanks!

G'dayFirstly like to thank Chris and Carmine for finally making night truly night is FS9 its a new accurate experience to get real black nights and great cloud silhouette's at dawn.Looks just like the real thing!!One small problem though is that aircraft contrails seem to remain bright reflecting light that the old clouds used to.SO we have great dark nights with lighter contrails.IS here anything i can do the smkoke.bmp in the effectstextures folder to get rid of the lighter contrails and make them dark like the clouds are now?TIADarren
