I go to the map and move the tower where I want it and the altitude but when I go out of it and return the tower is right back where it was before. What do I need to do to keep it where I placed it?Don

I enjoy flying from the VC -- but am disappointed with the DC3 VC. Apart from the fact that it is not very nice (to my eyes)compared to other a/c VCs, I can't enjoy the eyepoint view. I have tried everything and can't get a viewpoint that suits. The problem is with the VC as I see it is that, although you have the opportunity to "pan" the panel, because it is a Sim , you have to be able to see the instruments ( especially on landing) and in the DC3 , it is nigh impossible to land using the VC and scan the instruments at the same time.Has anybody tinkered with their DC3 VIEW settings? -- any suggestions?Thanks Barry

Since the .net helper file gets fixed in the O/S I have to ask if this app works in W98SE since I don't have sys restore (other than a tedious drove image procedure). Any W98SE problems after installation?

In the documenration for the Realair Siai Marchetti SF260 it isrecommended to set P-factor Torque and Gyro to 2/3 to the right.I wonder does this mean the highest realism? Should I consider these settings optimal only for the SF260? What about other planes?Should I set them to 100% right when using other planes in orderto get highest realism?

I've had FS9 installed since it came out last year. I've had no problems until recently even after patching it to FS9.1, and I was wondering if anyone could help. By the way, I've searched through most of the messages here and couldn't find one related to mine.The problem is that on five days ago, I had to replace my video card, as my previous one quit on me. After installing it (a Leadtek FX5700LE), I still could run FS9 without problems.However, three days later on Thursday, out of the blue, FS9 started to CTD for no apparent reason. First, I have not installed the FS9 upgrade. Last year I drove from Sfpld IL to apache junction in Az. I decide to see if I could repeat the same but by following only roads (USA Roads) and using the GPS to ensure I was on track.. I left my home town (KSPI) followed the Interstate 55 to ST. LOuis and on west to Santa Rose NM where I left interstate 40 and continued south west to Superior Municipal (Ea1) I followed RT 54 from Santa Rose to Vaughn where I changed to rT 60 and on and on. i have 3 dash8 aircraft with default kingair panels. i downloaded a dash8 panel but it has no installation instructions. i've dragged and dropped and copied it into the ac folder and the panel folder but no go. it isn't showing up. it's the panel i got from dreamwings design. anyone help here? william

Is it possible to use fs2002 scenery (mesh) in fs2004?And is Singapore got a CBD in 2004 version? (In 2002 Singapore City is missing (except for autogen buildings), except for Changi which isnt that great).

Avsim advertised a couple of downloads that fsglobal2005.com had on their site. However I discovered that the menu on the fsglobal2005 site does not work and you cannot download anything. I sent them a couple of emails in the last 2 weeks and there has been no action or response.Can anyone help me get through to them?

I installed Flight1's ATR, loaded a flightplan and when I hit the ` for ATC it gives me a choice between Ground or ATIS, when you choose Ground it give you the option for ATIS ... in the air it tells you that there is NO MESSAGE TO TRANSMIT ...... where has ATC taken of to?... I'm not saying it is the ATR but that is the only new thing I've installed.Please helpTerblanche

In FS2002 I created an IFR flight KLAS to KLAX. I take off on runway 25R and am told to turn left to 190. When I get near the green "direct to" line on my GPS which shows that my course heading to KLAX should be 220, I am told by ATC to turn right to 220. Still climbing but holding steady on course 220 (altitude and heading are on autopilot), I am told to contact Los Angeles center. Shortly after doing so, and without touching any controls, my 737 is making a sharp left turn to hold course 220 on autopilot, while my NAV and GPS now show a 270 course to KLAX. At this time, I have no real experience with this type of software and was hoping some of you could point me in the right direction toward what I will need to make this a fun and educational experience. For example, what other software tools will I need? Hi all,I started seriously flying the ATR72 I bought two days ago. This plane is incrediable. However, I have a problem not relating flying this baby at all. Whenever, I finish a flight with this plane and hit the fly button again or just exit FS9, FS9 did a CTD. Does anyone else have this problem? BTW, my FS9 is installed with the recent patch. Thnx.

I got FS2002 and the clouds aren't that great, (you could see through 'em in FS98 or FS2000 but not these).I need some info on thunderstorm clouds.From my photos and experience in heavies I would like recreate CB (cumulonimbus thunderstorm clouds) that are not rare in the tropics (this includes many parts of Australia) that stretch tens of thousands of feet high.This has not been recreated in FS2002.Has it been done in FS2004. Any screenshots?Anyone use that weather program Activesky? When I tune into ATIS at an airport, The green bar that usually scrolls the text across simply flashes once and goes away. The ATIS audio still plays, but the text is nowhere to be found. I have had this problem for a while and just now decided to ask about it.I also notice that it flashes on and off quickly every once in a while even without the ATIS tuned in, although I think I have figured out that it does this when Active Sky updates the weather.I do have Active Sky 2004.5 intalled as well as numerous other add-ons, both payware and freeware.Has anyone else had this problem or know how to fix it?Please help.Jared

Hi,I just wanted to know if anyone has any tips what so ever. Everytime i go to a scenery with alot of ai traffic i get a sim1.dll error. it sucks cause if i want to fly out of ord i have to set it to like ai traffic to 15% so if anyone has anything that might work let me know.thanksmichael

HiI am trying to put a FS2002 RAF Scampton add-on airport in FS2004 for which there are no instructions.There was a 'scampton' folder with scenery and texture subfolders in it. I have put this in the 'addon scenery' folder in FS9 and I have activated it. It is all there in the sim, but there are some buildings with blank textures.There was an additional 'airport scenery' folder in the download with .oav files in it. I can't quite figure where this should go!Any help greatfully received.RegardsGraeme

Recently purchased the Diamond DA-20 Katana package from Aerosoft. This thing is a real beauty but you sure need some computing power to run it! I've been retracing the ferry flight used to deliver the Diamond C-1 Eclipse (I know this is a different aircraft than the Katana) from Diamond's plant in London, Ontario to Colorado Springs Air Force Academy. The DA-20-100 has very similar performance to the C1 Eclipse and since there is no autopilot and it is for VFR flight only makes the flight especially challenging with FSMeteo weather. In flying around the SF Bay Area at night-time, I realized I now have the default FS9 bridges as well as the USA Roads bridges. It looks weird and annoying especially at the GG Bridge area. Is there a fix for this?Thanks!JS

I hope that someome can help me. I am working on the Private Pilot Checkride and I have a problem with the plane banking to the left. I thought it was my yoke or the rudder being out of calibration but they are centered. I have noticed that my turn coordinator has a major angle to the left at times even on the runway. Why would the turn coordinator be showing a turn on the runway? I can't check on the loading of the plane because it is part of a lesson.Is there something I must modify to get the default Cessna to be centered for flying? Any help would be appreciated.
