Hi guys,I have recently been having a problem with FS9 locking up while either loading terrain or shortly after takeoff while using Fly Tampa KMIA scenery.I have uninstalled the scenery, re-installed the new version as well as the AFCAD files, and am still having the same problem.I sometimes have the same problem when using George Grimshaws Boston scenery as well.This is extremely frusrating, I have tried numerous fixes to no avail.Does anyone have any suggestions or insight relating to this problem, if so can you e-mail me direct at [email protected] help will be greatly appreciated. Hi guys,Can anyone advise me how can I add AI traffic from Project AI of airlines which don't otherwise feature under the Official Files link? Coz I did a search for the airline I was looking for and I found flight plans, repaints and schedules associated with it...So I presume I can....Any quick steps I can follow?Thanks indeed,-Pranav

hey everyone is there any way to get textures to load faster in FS9? I am primarily concerned with the textures i use for AI aircraft as i use planes such as POSKY and FFX models as I like the level of detail much better than the stuff that comes with Project Ai or Fs painter, etc. I realize the more compplicated the model is the longer it will take to load them but is there a way to change the settings in the FS9.cfg file to sped up load times? thanks

I have the excellent Wonderful Madeira scenery but unfortunately (I guess due to the "interesting" approach on RW05) I cannot get AI aircraft to land there:(They will happily takeoff and then magically disappear (if on T&Gs) and the airport is unrealistically quiet for the rest of the day.Anyone managed to get their AI aircraft to takeoff AND land at LPMA?RegardsAdam

Anyone know how to get the autopilot in the Captian Sim 707 to track a GPS flight plan? I switched the flight director to GPS, selected "navloc" and the plane starts to turn towerd the GPS track, but then the navloc light goes out and the aircraft just wanders. Hard to believe this has to be manually tracked like a vor to vor set up. All help welcome.Happy New Year,Joe

A background of my problem:A few weeks ago I tried to dowload PAI packages the install said it went though, but there was no new AI. Figuring it was a ttools problem I bought UT. Hi Folks, I also had some trouble finding the new Exchange module download. Hopefully this will help:You have to go to the product page for FSE 2004. Then navigate to the downloads page for that product.Then you must download Ver 1.10 as the exchange only works with ver 1.10 OR download the Exchange module if you already have ver 1.10. What I don't know is if the exchange module comes with ver 1.10 or do you also have to download it as well as ver 1.10?In order to use the newly downloaded products you must have your product key or code. Having started flying online about a year ago, I have found it to be a very good substitute for the lacking built-in ATC. I must admit that at first I was a little bit intimidate by the way I had to connect in order for me to get online. There was a lot of programs that needed to be started in just the right way or else I would have to start all over, which could be a time consuming event. I have just recieved FS 2K4 as a Xmas gift. VERY very nice, but it is in spanish :-( . I live in CHILE, so that is what is availbale on the shop fronts. Is there any way I can "change" the language into english, or would I have to buy a full english version?

I know that FS9 has textures for both winter and hard winter. I was just wondering, while sitting here eating my lunch, how FS knows which ones to use at any particular point in time. Or is it that some areas will always show winter textures whilst others will always show hard winter textures?Victor

Dear Fellow SimmersFor the past month I have been doing all my flying in Europe and Asia. I just recently a couple of days ago did a flight from Ottawa to Washington Dulles airport. About 20 miles from the Dulles airport suddenly the CTD hit without warning and I found myself staring at my desktop. Now since the update for FS9 I have had no problems what so ever and I run with disk 4 in the drive. I then tried to load up FS9 starting at KIAD and at about 50% load up the FS9 screen disappeared. This was found to be constant during daylight hours, however It would load during dark hours. I then set about trying to find the cause of this CTD. I removed all my afcads and boot…

I'm revisiting FS after a longish lay off and vaguely remember having this problem before, but can't find the answer from searching the forum.If I create a flight with the default 737 starting at a gate and taxi to the runway using ATC etc, when I try and take off the trim seems to have gone very strange so that I can only actually take off by changing the trim appropriately at a speed way above V1/V2 or Vr.Is this something that rings a bell with anyone or am I being thick and missing something obvious??TIA for any help.Rob

Hi all,Can anyone suggest what might be my problem please?? I have a new PC with Epox EP-9NDA3+ motherboard (nforce3 ultra), Athlon 64 3500+. SATA HDD. Gainward Geforce 6800 128meg, Audigy sound card.Everything else works fine but FS2004 on a clean install is unflyable. - theoretic 10 FPS using Shift Z but nothing like that really. If you liked the "Wings of Power" aircraft you will also like the B-36 from Alpha. I was a kid of 14 years old when they would fly around Shreveport La. and Barksdale AFB. They still have that "drone" sound that I remember. It's $14 (US), but it's worth a $100 because it has a automatic pilot gauge in the from of a small rectangle ( 1/4 " X 3 "} that you can change the auto pilot setting FROM THE SPOT or Chase view !!! For you pruist, I'm sorry to say, I fly 85% of the time from the spot/chase view and now I can change all of the required course/altitude etc setting WITHOUT having to go back inside the aircraft to the panel view. It is becoming more and more appealing to have a second windows operating system on a second drive to purely operate high demand games and especially MSFS.This has been discussed before but I want to take this a step further by asking a question to those in the know.Is it possible to make the second installation a custom installation ie an installation stripped of all the unneeded rubbish and purely one which has the bits needed to operate MSFS and games?Such a stripped down installation should be ultra quick with little demands on the system other than operating MSFS?Again I dont know what Im talking about :-) so experts please?Peter

I haven't had any problems in a long time (sound of knuckle knocking on wood) despite dozens of addon sceneries and aircraft and several dozen gigs of AI. Now here is a new one. At a few select airports as long as the aircraft is on the ground, the sim lurches in speed every few seconds. Yes, that's right. Instead of actual stutters that slow you down, this thing speeds up every few seconds with clockwork precision. You are taxiing smoothly, then suddenly you are around that next corner much farther than you anticipated. three seconds later again. I wan't to completely uninstall Lennarts textures in order to reinstall them from scratch.After copying the scenery/world cab from disc4 to fs scenery/world/textures I noticed that there remained some files with dates from 2004. I assume they are from Lennarts textures.When I removed them FS crashes to the descktop when I load a flight.What am I missing?

Does anyone know if it is possible to convert FS flight videos to Mpeg somehow? I just made a really cool one, playing with 200kt winds is fun;) Thanks
