I enjoy the payware Flight1 421 visually, but I can't fly it with the included GPS. Supposedly you can either purchase the Reality XP GPS or INSTALL THE DEFAULT FS9 GPS into the panel somewhere. Has anyone done this, and exactly how is it done? If you have done it, can I get a step-by-step procedure for it? Stan

I was all ready for a nice flight tonight, Albany, NY to Dulles in an Indedpendence Air CRJ. Shortly after take-off, ATC vectored me to heading 190 and that was the last vector I ever got from them. I got all the altitude changes, all the hand-offs, but never got turned. I expected a turn to the southwest before Newark, but I just kept trucking along nearly due south, out over the ocean.I tried switching to GPS mode, but they told me to return to 190. I now have a pretty much up-to-date system and have following some information I gleaned from somewhere found that using Task Manager to set FS9's Priority to "Realtime" and Affinity to ONLY ONE of the two processors I see gives me maybe 10FPS.I understand this to mean that I'm giving FS9 absolutely priority over all other tasks, but only for one processor, so that everything else can continue to work by cramming onto the other.NB I UNDERSTAND THIS DOESN'T WORK FOR OLDER PROCESSORS AND NON XP OPERATING SYSTEMS AND CAN CAUSE FS9 TO CRASH IF YOU TRY TO SET PRIORITY TO REALTIME ON THOSE. Well Just a little note really to say that Steve Small From FSD Went beyond the Call of duty to help me out over the Holiday Season.Im not going to go in to the hows and wheres of it, but in a nut shell I got infected with an FSD Software Keygenerator, All of which was pure accident and FSD are aware of this so no, I wasnt stealing + I own all their Products anyhow.However this renederd all by FSD planes locked and un-useable and none of it would install or work correctly as FSD Quite Rightly check for stolen keys etc. Steve Small Wrote an application (exe) for me and me alone that riped out the dud lincences and repaired my system so that I could once again enjoy my Soft…

Does anyone know why the default eyepoint heights in the default Cessna 172 and 182 are so much different? You sit higher in the 172 and can see out much better. In real life are the panels of the two planes a lot different as far as height is concerned? If not, which of the FS9 panels seem more like the real thing?Thanks

Is there an easy way to move or remove some of the default objects that are on the airport grounds?I like to use a little airport in Santa Paula, CA but MS has placed some buildings that make the approach to runway 22 a problem. I don't think that in real life there are buildings like this at that airport. I'm speaking as a non-pilot who has been there on the ground.Any help would be appreciated.Thanks,Joe

This may sound like a commercial but if something's good and impresses you, let others know so they can have the same enjoyment, right? Besides, it will help reward the designers for such a nice addon. That's the way I was impressed by the new USA Roads by Flight One. I am quite impressed at how it revamped my scenery and feeling of actually flying. The added bonus is it seems to be "FRF" - frame rate friendly! It makes the scenery look that much more relaistic, since you can actually find the roads in your home area to verify accuracy. I could actually find my own street! I had not thought about this issue for a while, but I discovered it again last night and it is time to solve it. I have all four of RealAir Simulations aircraft (SF260, Decathlon, Scout, & Spitfire). I can run all but the SF 260 with perfect smooth sim performance and frame rates up in the 40-60FPS range in the VC view for each aircraft. The SF260 shows steady frames pushing 60FPS, but I get frequent little stutters or hiccups with it (in turns or aggressive maneuvers in particular). I tried locking my FPS at 35 and then at 25 to see if there was any change, but I got the same result. When I get the stutters/hiccups there is no change in indicated FPS. It is alm…

I am interested in modfying an often-used flight (*.flt) by simply changing the date and time before loading Flightsim. In opening the FLT file I see that there is a section called DateTimeSeason, which I assume I can simply change accordingly. Can anyone tell me what the section called SimScheduler is all about and what the value of SimTime represents? If I leave that alone and change only the DateTimeSeason section, will I be OK if I load the flight in FlightSim?Doug

I've recently installed FS Live Traffic, the registered version, and now I have no ATC sound at all. Also, no text of the ATC transmissions appear in the ATC window. I'd tried the demo version of Live Traffic beforehand and it worked perfectly. The install of the full version seemed to have no problems installing and I've tried re-installing twice. I am having problems with the FSD Avanti Piaggio in some of the switches, including the CRS and HDG bugs. I can't increment or decrease the CRS/HDG settings.I have posted a thread on the FSD forum as well, and still waiting for an answer. I'm not confused about where to put the various files in Lennart's new textures.....at least I THINK I'm not. I do believe they are all in the correct places.I just need to know what portions of North America they cover. He mentioned that they cover North Europe and "parts of NOrth America" (Did he say "United States"? Don't remember).Anyway, I've looked around pretty well and I can't seem to actually see any differences anywhere with the textures, or without them. When I go into the control assignment menu I'm able to map my X rotary to the elevator trim, but when I exit the menu and return to the cockpit my trim rotary doesn't do anything to the elevator trim. Strange thing is that it was working fine earlier but I don't know what I did to upset it.

Having recently discovered the TrafficToolbox SDK for FS9 I'm trying to make GA AI flights at my local airport more interesting by introducing 'touch and go' flights. What I mean by 'touch and go' is the 'UK style' where the aircraft approaches to land with wheels and flaps down, actually touches on the runway , then opens up and takes off again. Not having much sucess so far - the nearest I get is an approach (gear and flaps down), then an 'overshoot' (raise gear and flaps and climb away) - without touching the runway.I've got a vague idea however that a US "touch and go" might be different to the UK GA style I'm trying to achieve and (with FS being American origin) all…

Hi - I really need some help! For some reason my FS9.1 is CTD all of the time. I can't get it do do anything - it's usually within a few seconds of loading.I have used PMDGs 737NG for months now, and I've never had a problem with it - and that is the only aircraft I fly at the moment.
