Was flying towards New Orleans the other day and passed byPearl River - Picayune Airport (KPCU). Noted a stack of threelarge bridges almost on top of the airport. These are clearlya bug. Im using FS9.1. Can anybody tell me how to removethese critters without removal of the airport? I dont thinkan exclude file will do it.ThanksEric

On a recent trip to EGLL, our UA 777 got set up for approach about 20 miles east of 27L. By 3000', we were down to a paltry 153 mph (these were indicated groundspeeds (in mph) displayed in the cabin) with an 18 mph crosswind from the SW. At around 1500', the speed had been brought down to 139 mph with flaps 25 or 30 and it then sank to 132 mph before spooling up slightly for landing. The aircraft was jam packed on a flight from KIAD and I would reckon that our landing weight must have been quite heavy. Do these approach speeds loook normal for a 777-200 IGW in such conditions?Happy New Year!JS

In my neverending efforts to get the best visuals, I seem to have screwed up my runway lights. At dawn or dusk, when I'm anywhere but just at the threshold, I get black dots where the runway lights should be. I'm obviously missing a .bmp file, but which one? Yeah, it's dumb, I know.

In the past 2-3 days, I cannot approach EGLL from any direction in FS9 without suffering an explicable freeze of FS9 within a 1 to 9nm radius of any of EGLL's destination runways. It's happened 5-6 times now, using the POSKY B742 with Massimo's panel. It also happened using the default B744, but not using the default Cessna.I have recently adjusted my DISPLAY settings downwards to give me more fps for flying and fps look great on initial approach into EGLL 27R and L (for e.g.), but at some point after that, the sim freezes or near-freezes (goes into ultra slow motion over a period of 3 to 5 minutes, 1 frame per 30 seconds, sort of thing).I tested the exact same aircraft…

Hello friends :)I just got the very cool-looking Dreamwings (DW) Dash8 Q400. Unfortunately there is something wrong with its FDE - a fact DW have very graciously acknowledged on their forums. I need to bump the speed up for my AI. Im using FS Live Traffic and the slow taxi speeds off the runway is causing huge back ups on approach.

I thought these guys did a great job with their CRJ but with the release of the ERJ, I guess I hadn't seen the best these guys could do... This add-on seems to have been over-shadowed by all the other great releases released during this holiday season. Haven't heard to much about this package on the forums or anywhere so I guess many are missing out. I would rank this one right up there with PMDG and Dreamfleet. I was thinking today that it is becoming a problem lately, when I want to go flying, cause I can't figure out which plane to fly. Which do I like the best, is the first thing I think of. After I think about that, I realize that I should maintain some variety with my choices so that I don't become one dimensional as far as the aircraft choices I make. I thought really hard about it this morning , and struggled as usual with the choice of what to fly on the last day of the long new years weekend. I decided on my Flight 1 ATR and flew it on about 4 different flights today. I even hand flew it for the entire 200 mile flight from Toronto to the ILS in Albany, New York. …

Happy New Year to all!I am highly considering buying a new yoke (I have a CH Products yoke now) and am looking at the Advanced Flight Control System III - USB Version. I've read a couple of reviews on it and it seems like a very nice yoke. I see that I can order it from the Avsim Store. My question is, does it come with a separate throttle? Hi,Was just think about groups who develop payware, seeing as some payware are download files of 50 > 60mb, why not split it up into say the model, panel, sound, etc, and have a complete package too, which already exists.I reckon this would tempt more dial up users, and give a bit more choice.Tell me what you think.

Hi all,I'm a relatively new (well, returning) simmer, and one of the things I have been looking for, without much success, and am now considering developing, is a simple rating/ranking website for the numerous scenery/aircraft/other add ons for FS.I wanted to get hold of some decent regional aircraft for FS9 and after a fair amount of trawling of the sites have narrowed it down to a few specific aircraft I'm going to try, but I wonder if a website dedicated simply to allowing simmers to rate or rank these things might be of use?Aircraft could be given ratings on the overall design, panel, fde, accuracy (all subjective, I know, but it would give people looking for new airc…

Since yesterday when I go to the forum section I do not get a complete screen. At the top of the header aside of the headings (help us continue to serve you, contributors wall of fame, ect) I am getting a box with a red X in it. Have I inadvertainly changed something. Hiya all,I just did a flight into EGLL but the approach is to difficult because the framerate is to low. So I tried to check it out, and found out that it has to do with the sound when switching in on with Q the framerates drop to 8.3 when off in goes up to 15.0????Anyone any idea how to improve it????The sound-settings in Fs2004 are set to low.I use a Terratec 512 Digital card also installed the latest drivers.On a p4 2.8, 1024Mb mem, ATI Radeon 98000Pro.Should i change a setting in Windows or in Fs2004??????? I got FS2004 for Christmas and I'm going to try to learn how to fly (simulator anyway). I also bought a Logitech Freedom joystick. I don't want the yoke/pedal setup for the moment.Anyway, I found out how to enable the framerate display. It reads about 30-36 or so on the ground and some quick circles around Seattle. I have every slider I can find set to maximum.My question is, are some scenery or other enhancements being throttled down without me knowing it, or is my system really running the sim nicely? I set the framerate target to 30, I get 30, set it to 24, I get 24. Should I set it to unlimited? I want to get the worst framerate possible, then start adjusting sliders …

Help! I've suddenly fallen foul of the reversed ILS syndrome with at least two airports.At LGAV and HEGN the ILS frequency is the same for both ends of the runway, i.e 03R/21L share the same frequency as do 16/34 at HEGN.When approaching either airport I lose both LOC and g/s and have only just realised it is because the aircraft is picking up the opposite end ILS beam.EGCC is the same in that 24R/06L share the same frequency but strangely I still get a correct ILS & g/s indication even though the PMDG 737 shows "INN/237" crossed through on the PFD but that is the correct ILS for 24R.I know this problem has cropped up before but I cannot remember the solution and a se…

Hey all, first post here.I just bought myself the CH yoke and rudder combo. Man, it's a dream. The only snag I've encountered is that the differential braking provided by the rudder brakes don't turn the aircraft effectively. I even tried boosting the differential_braking_scale, but that didn't seem to change much. Any ideas on how to get differential brakes working like they do in RW GA a/c so tight turns can be made? I'd rather not stoop to using nosewheel steering :) Thanks!RegardsCarl
