I have tried everything from a different video card to all the settings. Can ANYONE tell me why there is a straight line in the sky in FS9. I have been plagued with this on two seperate machines. Since I've deleted the line "panel_as_texture=0" in FS9.CFG (that gives the same effect as panel_as_texture=1) the outside view bleeds trough at some places along the left, right and upper edges of some 2D panels.Looks like a gap of 1 pixel around the panel image at some places.This happens if the above line in FS9.CFG is not present or =1, and with antialiasing switched to on in the driver (no matter what value).I have a Radeon 9800 Pro and Catalyst 4.12 drivers.I already did all I can to get rid of this, but since it seems to be a very generic problem (i.e. independent of FS9.cfg or the drivers, I already let FS9 create new FS9.cfg's and used Omega drivers as well as ol…

I hav a Saitek Cyborg 3D Gold joystick which is wearing out.I have a small PC table, and do not have room for a separate throttle,flight stick set-up. I had the Saitek 45 and had to give it up for lack of room.I play mostly IL2 and need the keyboard within hand reach.I have read that their are quality problems with the Logitech products.I am willing to pay up to $80.Any suggestions will be appreciated.Thank you.StannerStanner

Just curious...for those of you who have multiple traffic.bgl files, what criteria did you use to make each? I mean, did you make each by airline, region, country, or other criteria?

Hi, which airliner pay or free has the most accurate vc in terms of dimensions, , curves where they should be, etc, fotoreal textures on every part like the real thing. I fly short-hops in the cs727 but it's virtually gone, especially in western europe where I fly. I like to keep it as real as I can get it to be. So, judging by the screens at Ariane the 737ng-vc looks like real to me unlike the pmdg. I don't care much for accurate fmc's and stuff, as long as it looks good (perfect)! Any thoughts or positive opinions on this aircraft? Btw, I've ordered the track-ir, so a real nice vc is a must now...

Finally....a nice freeware 737ng, with a full, dynamic vc. Really well done. The Falanghe brothers say it's their first GMax model, which I find hard to believe. :-) Fully flyable from the vc. I can only hope they plan on doing a 733 or 732. 737exgol.zipHappy Holidays,Todd

Hi All,I am getting a stutter with FS. After about two minutes of flying the stutter begins. About every 30 seconds I get a " da da da da " stutter...seems to happen more around heavy scenery areas.I have removed all my FS files and did a complete reinstall and they are still accuring. I have a [email protected] ghz with 1024 ram and a radeon 9800 pro with 128 megs and the latest Radeon drivers installed.Before the stutter I was in FS heaven with my set up. Ran: UT AS2-4.5 FSRoads FSWater and Skyworld 2004. Not to mention PMDG products and others....one more thing. I stumbled accross www.voxatc.com a few days ago following a very brief mention in a magazine recently. Basically the program replaces the default MS ATC with a system using the MS speech recognition/text-to-speech engine to give (an allegedly) more interactive experience. I have downloaded the time/location limited demo, but before parting with my hard earned cash I wonder if anyone else has tried it and has an opinion ?I have tried a few trips and am quite impressed. I got the textures last night from avsim, made a backup copy of my sceneryworldtexture folder. Did a manual install of the textures, started FS, selected a flight and got a crash to desktop.... Ok no biggie, delete the texture folder, rename the backup to texture, restart Fs, load the flight, crash to desktop at around 50% just like before. Hmmmmm Ok lets try this, open CD 4, copy all the worldscenery*.bmp and *.agn files into the texture folder. just for giggles I rebooted. After restart, started FS, loaded the default flight again.... Poof.... CTD at the same point in the load. Please someone tell me that there is an easy fix for this, short of a re-install of FS.Brian

I thought FS9.1 fixed the problems with seasonal changes but now it happens again ... FS9 is only now changing from FALL to WINTER and again I get this CTDs all over the place.The hatefull terrain.dll error is popping up and it can not be any corrupted AFCAD file because there is none accept the default ones on my PC - and it must be the seasonal change.Any help with this or should I just turn my PC's time back to summer?RegardsT

I downloaded a scenery file for some Quebec bush scenery and followed the instructions carefully in installing it. However, the instructions don't say anything about how to find it once FS9 is launched.They also say something about activating Quebec SH9 in the scenery library. That sounds like something we used to have to do in FS2002. But this files says it's for FS2004.I'm not exactly sure how to add scenery to FS2004 so I may have put something in the wrong place. I just installed FS9 but it came up with some strange problem. Everytime I load a new aircraft there are missing textures. For example the front and the back are textured but the wings, middle part and engines are not. You just see the grey colored model. I tried to change the display settings but it did not work jet. It's okay with the default planes but not with addons even if they are for fs9. These fs9 planes used to work fine with my old fs2002 but I want them to look right in fs9. Hi all. I downloaded the kittyhawk 737-800 and 700 series. My problem with these aircraft is that they take a lot to lift off the runway. And once i finally get them airborne and engage the autopilot the aircraft nosedives toward the earth. I tried replacing the airfile, but no joy. Please help anyone. Thanks in advance.

Hi, I have recently been using Stellan Hillmerby's DC-9 panel. I have had some problems before, but managed to to find a way around them. However, I am having a bit of a problem, probably not related to the panel, but,I am thrown out of FS9 about 30 to 40 minutes into the flight. I have never seen this before, and find it specially odd that it will just quit (exit)the program instanly, it does not even shut down. Any ideas? The only thing different besides the panel, is the addition of a Windows update to my machine recently. Today I did something unusual (for me). I flew a bigger plane out of a big airport - namely the FSD Navajo out of KSFO. While I enjoyed the flight which only took me to KSTS I did encounter a few surprises and problems.1.
