Hello, I'm new to the forum, if you have any suggestions for me or if I'm posting in incorrect forum do let me know. I'm on FSX:SE and am a relatively knowledgeable virtual flyer, but I'm stuck with the following and I imagine this will be applicable to the new MSFS. When setting up a default approach on FSX default GPS, or indeed setting up an approach on the aerosoft airbus FPLN, a couple of virtual waypoints are created with the prefix 'FL' and 'CL' followed by a 2 digit number. I thought FL24 may stand for flight level ie an indication I should be at 2400 feet at that point, but I have no idea really. I'd greatly appreciate anyone's thoughts or explanat…

FYI it seems that you now have to get the repaints manually, as the models can't be installed by the installer anymore due to the site being down. This is gonna be a pain in the butt to get real traffic now, probably going to take several months to get everything that WOAI had back..

I am doing a flight from KCLE -KMDT. At KCLE, and enroute my FPS is 30+, but when I start my vectored approach to KMDT by ATC, all of sudden I start getting stutters. I don’t recall this happening at any other airport. I am flying the Flight 1 B200. If I switch to an outside view, the stutters go away. Back to th VC, stutters. I tried reducing graphic settings, but didn’t really help. I am going to try a different AC. Also on this route, ATC switches me way too frequently between centers. Any ideas? THANKS!

I am sure other members and FSX gurus will have come across this before. I have seen some posts and advice about this topic but am still a bit unclear and cautious in knowing how to get round my problem. I have a new windows 10 computer with a 1TB hard drive. My old computer ran windows 7 32bit. In my windows 7 computer I had two 250 GB hard drives. One with the windows 7 operating system, the other drive, my “F” drive, was where I had my FSX installed together with all its add-ons etc. I also had another partition on this “F” drive where I kept all the software and add-ons as I wanted to try and keep all the files in a handy go to source. Hi all! I am looking for a replacement download of SimWest's AlburquerqueX city which was freeware. They are gone. If anyone has a copy of it for FSX or P3SD I would be grateful to get it. Actually, I have a licensed copy of the freeware and the download but with the firm now gone, I can't unpack it with my license key. They shut down their servers. Thank you!

I have a box version but will get a Steam version as a security for installs in the future...

I have not used FSX for over four years recently got a new computer and reinstalled it using steam literally just before I had to go away for a week. I have the Real Air Dukes and the Legacy. Didn’t get a chance to install them before I went away can you still use the original installers or is there some new process now they don’t trade anymore? Thanks for any help

Hi all not sure if anyone has the file still... But since the hovercontrol website has been down I can't get the ICARO aw139 base pack for fsx / fs9. Does anyone still have the file would be great if someone to send it to me , I had it also but my hard drive crashed and had to reinstall back addons I backed up. But yeah would be great if someone has it the base pack and the addon packs with it. Regards André

Hi all, so the issue is very difficult to explain maybe if y'all see it y'all me have a better idea so I going to try my best to have it written well. So I have been flying with PMDG 737NGX for FSX and all my airspeed reading where correct cruising at .79 which is roughly around 484kts... I recently installed the Aerosoft Airbus a319-21 first couple of flights have been successful but as of recently it's all messed up, when cruising with both aerosoft and pmdg + other freeware airplanes my plane would try to cruise at a slow speed so on the autopilot panel it will say .80 Mach speed but on the pfd I'm am literally slowing down and going .45 which is very odd and some…

Hello. I hope you understand what I'm trying to say. When fsx planes are guided by default gps they follow the path line but sometimes they go past the line and reincorporate later. Can I make them follow the path reducing that space? (no worries about bank angle) thank you!

Hi there, I was wondering how to just download the Europe and UK, as I only want to fly in that region? If not I may have to download the whole of freemeshx which will take me 2 days! I know you can pay for a months subscription, (if it's legit and easy to opt out after a month?) for a faster download, but that may still take a long time as I'm only on 50gb of data. Friends, I have a problem that I need help with. I installed FSX on a fast new computer running Windows 11. It runs like a dream with one exception. When I'm on approach to a runway, even when I keep my speed up, there comes a point where the plane begins to bank to one side or the other and the plane becomes uncontrollable. It doesn't matter which plane I use. I have tried both easy and hard realism settings and that has no effect. I have run FSX on other computers since it came out and I have never experienced this behavior before. I would deeply appreciate any help or insights you might have on this. I'm out of ideas. Thanks

Hi Avisimmers, Is it possible to land Dino Cattaneo's A-4 Skyhawk on a carrier? After many hours of "practice" I still can't seem to achieve this. Every time straight after I connect with the arrestor wires and the plane comes to a stop, it does a barrel roll through the deck and falls through. I'd doubt it is my flying - I can easily land Dino's TA-4 on a carrier no worries. The same with the Virtavia A-4. But not Dino's. Is it not possible, or am I doing something wrong? I've recently created a batch file that allows me to choose a C&D saved flight from 5 options, which then gets loaded as the default when I start FSX:SE. So far I've been using the files with the FLT file extension for this, but I'm wondering if I also need to include the files with the WX and FSSAVE file extensions in this process. I'm guessing that the WX is the file that records the weather state, but I'm not sure about what the FSSAVE file is for? As well, if I'm correct about the purpose of the WX files, do I even need to bother with them if I'm running Active Sky and always have dynamic weather being used? Any info about the purpose of WX and FSSAVE files…

Hi all. I would like to add some default liftable items for my helicopter. I saw you can use ai carriers 2 and place objects where you like. I have ai carriers installed but how do I add objects to ai carriers so I can select them and place them where I like Cheers Rhys

I just finished installing FSX on a brand new Windows II box. The activation went fine. The FSX activation server is still operating. I did have problems installing Acceleration. The activation would not complete. Fortunately, I had the disks for Service Pack 1 & 2 which will give you the system stuff you need for FSX. I uninstalled Acceleration and installed the service packs instead. Everything is fine.

Jetways not showing up at several airports

Hi allI'm trying to breath some life into my fsx se and my helicopter cockpit by adding liftable objects. I have looked at the early Slingloads in the Sandboxliftable missions which was done along time ago.My cockpit is based on a MD500e. so I'd liked to use that to setup some very basic items to lift and move around.In the sling loads missions there were about 30 liftable items and 2 helicopters the bell 206 and the EH-101. I have just loaded my C172 with the G1000, looking at my screens they are both really dark to the point that I can only just see them,can anyone please explain how to get back to the normal screens please. JM

I’m guessing this is a nonstarter I tend to ffly MSFS now But I’ve got a lot of software for FSX and would occasionally like to return to it However I had not put it on my new PC and now I’ve tried seems the install disc now corrupt I don’t suppose there’s any way of downloading it online and then inputting your serial key? my new PC doesn’t have a DVD player and I tried a portable one and it just won’t work 🥲

Quite recently i have installed precipitfx 777 immersion into FSX. However as soon as i loaded in one of the the presets provided by them in the fsx weather presets, nothing seems to happen when i spool up the engine or take off. All that is visible is the engine jet wash effect in the rain and the vortices in rainy and snowy presets but no engine or wing condensation. i have steves DX10 fixer installed and supposedly it converted these effects ( in the convert all effects drop down box ) yet there is no change.
