Can anyone help me? I installed Nepal Deluxe Scenery. All the landscape turned into water. Nepal DeLux Scenery I removed, but the water remained everywhere. I inserted a new texture.cfg file, but everything is the same. What else can I do? Thanks for the help.

Hello All, I have run into a small problem when using my Garmin 530 in my Dornier Do228 (FSX). Understandably there seems to be isolated instances of some of the Garmin 530 data now being clearly out of date. For example EGMD (Lydd) now has 2 ILS 'equipped' runways (5 and 23) yet Garmin's 530 RWY 5 has no ILS at all - RWY 23 is OK Excuse my ignorance on the subject but is it possible to update the 530's database ? Or failing that is it possible to swap the 530 for a more up to date GPS ? Of course if neither is possible then it certainly is not the end of the world ! Has anyone any thoughts on this ? Thanks. Hello, I am trying to merge the virtual cockpit from https://simviation.com/1/search?submit=1&keywords=737+MAX +Southwest &x=0&y=0, to the aircraft from https://www.fs2000.org/2021/02/21/fsx-fs2004-p3d-tds-boeing-737-max8-v3-base-package/ . You may be scratching you head wondering why. The newer model in the bottom link has the correct engine design, and the wingtip strobes and nav lights are now on the bottom of the AT Winglet. when I climb with the a300 and set a a/th and then that I want to climb to 32,000 ft and then when I choose vs it just climbs till it stalls, what am i doing wrong? what vs should I have ? (I have autopilot on)

Hi all I have Ultimate Traffic 2 and I'm going through my database after re-installing the game after the purchase of a new machine I'm having problems with textures from the FSPainter 787-X model appearing... I start the game in LAX, and there's one 787-10 that's in parking. It will show the plane if I have the default GE or RR paint but if I try and apply the textures of a repaint from Etihad, United etc. the plane completely disappears from the ground. It's not even transparent/solid black texture, it just disappears. The textures look fine in the folders, and the Aircraft.cfg file looks OK... I can't figure out what the issue is. Thanks

Hi all Im looking for a thin white smoke effect to add to one of my aircraft. The default one is to thick for that I am trying to achieve and wondering if anyone knows of one that I could download either as a separate file or already in aircraft that I could place in the effects folder and put in my aircraft cfg Cheers Rhys

I cannot get it to line up exactly along the plane's axis. It's just enough that it really throws off landings, etc. My "pan" hat is too large in its movement to allow me exact alignment. Is there a cure for this? Many thanks...

Hi! I run FSX with four viewport windows: one for the GPS, one for the front view and one for each side window. I have this issue where my engine sounds change, mainly volume, when I change focus between those windows. The side windows seem to have louder engine sounds than the front window. Is there a way to even this out so it remains the same volume no matter which view has focus? I have Soundstream installed, btw, and I don't think it's related to that. At least I hope not......... thanks! Dave

I don't understand why there is no thread for the REX 3D SkyForce. I know this is for Active Sky but my topic is for the REX 3D SkyForce for FSX, and I hope someone can still help me since many of you own the REX 3D SkyForce. In the 3D Cloud Model's page under 3D Model Options, there are 2 sliders that say Overcast Density. I want to increase the density but it's grayed out and I'm not able to adjust it. Why is it grayed out when the manual shows that it can be adjusted? This is for FSX, not P3D. Ken.

I use several very nice freeware sceneries by George McKeough, a. o. LGKF Kefallinia Airport in Greece (as here in the avsim library). Couldn`t mail to the author. Hi George, you are here? The rotating beacon on the tower shows big, very ugly, black and intransparent beams instead of white/green (the 2nd smaller GA beacon nearby is o.k.). I re-downloaded and reinstalled the scenery x times and as well the same files from simviation. . I use FSX Steam on C:/, on a Samsung 960 EVO PCi express, WIN 10 64 bit, i5 7600 and a Nividia GTX 1050 Ti, DX 10 is unticked, anisotropic filtering. Have best frames all the way in very high settings! No other graph…

Any ideas on how to fix the pesky cert error when loading FSX-Steam? Cert expired in December 2021. I tried loading newer version but it didn't take. I notice lots of chatter on the Steam site but no one seems to have an answer. Thanks, Jim Driskell

hi, When Im in long flight and do not touch anything for a some time FSX goes into external camera show. How to disable this?

I recently got myself the simcheck a300, and was doing some INS autopilot flights. Now the problem is, that the aircraft refuses to hold the altitude we're on when I hit the altitude hold button, it will continue to climb very steep at 4000, sometimes 5000 feet per minute, it will keep doing this until the aircraft stalls and falls from the sky. When i hit the v/spd button, it will start flying up and down instead of holding the vertical speed. Sometimes it recovers and then holds the v/spd, but most of the time it will keep flying up and down with 500fpm and -500fpm. I know there once was a plane that had a malfunction that caused the autopilot to keep flyin…

Long time simmer who is getting back into it after being away for 8+ years due to work. I'm now retired, bought a new high horsepower desktop and wondering, is it better to leave my fully tricked out FS9 (scenery, AI, A/C) and go to FSX, or the new FS? I've read some of the issues with FS and not interested in being a beta tester for MS. 1) What can be transitioned from FS9 to either FSX or FS? I'm aware EZ Scenery doesn't support FSX or FS and that hurts me big time (just bought Instant Scenery and not impressed with its functionality). So i recently got the PMDG 737 800 pack for my FSX but when I install the addon and try to launch FSX, the game shows this: "Product Activation Error: An error occurred while attempting to activate the product. The problem may be due to an incomplete installation of the application. Reinstalling the application may resolve the problem. Otherwise, please contact product support for assistance." What to do to fix this as it isnt even showing where to put the activation code in. Due to this I only get to play 30m of free flight. (Note that the above image is not mine, its a google image but I get the same result too)

Gents, I have recently bought a second hand FSX, and the PMDG 737 NGX in order to maintain some competencies. I am using a MSI GF63 Thin 10SCR laptop: i7-10750H @2.6GHz, Nvidia Gforce GTX 1650Ti card. All under Windows 11. So, I believe my laptop is way up to the minimum required. Launching FSX with the basic included 737 or other aircrafts, not a problem, with all the parameters set to maximum. Does anyone know any program similar to the AivlaSoft EFB v2 that show you the airport charts that is taken directly from the Flight Simulator airport files. AivlaSoft EFB v2 is to complex and heavy but I just simply want to view the airport layout and taxiways. I know Navipragh does provide one but it is based on scanned or real world charts from Jeppesen charts. Thank you guys

All of a sudden out of the blue FSX will not start. It goes to the flash screen then stops. I have tried uninstalling FSX and then reinstalling after I uninstalled Acceleration. Still nothing happens. I am at a lost. Can anyone please help. Thanks JShelton

hello, so i currently have a home cockpit 737 simulator with the defualt 737 for fsx. The 737 only lets you take out the pfd view once so who have to duplicate with another monitor to make the copilot seat in the cockpit. i want to see if the pmdg lets you take it out twice so i don't have to duplicate monitor views.

Hi, I recently installed the trial version of GSX and uninstalled once I had checked it out. However, some airport ground vehicle models still exist without textures (see image). I've tried reverting to a backup of my Simobjects/Groundvehicles folder and restored old backups of the veh_air_*** files in the Scenery/Global/Texture folder, but the black models still remain. Where can I find and delete these ground vehicle models to restore the FSX default vehicles? Cheers, Matt

Is there a way to make this possible? Like in real life (and of course later FS games), when it's night, aircrafts is illuminated with airport lights. But in FSX, if you are at the airport, it looks very weird, the airplane is completely dark, like you would crop the airplane picture into the scenery. Is there any night lights or a way to make this happen 😄 Thank you
