MS FSX | FSX-SE Forum

All of my joystick button assignments are set to my liking. One particular aircraft changes those button assignments (a second one has also in the past). If I load a different aircraft, it does not revert back to my button assignments. If I do a reset controls to default, it goes back to FSX's original assignments. The only way I can get back to my assignments is to complete close FSX and restart it. After using such an aircraft, how can I recover my settings without exiting FSX? Any help is appreciated.

Hey, Today I confirmed something I had a suspicion about for quite some time. Every time I load a scenario, OpusFSI camera angles stop working completely. When you hit a hotkey, it seems to freeze the program in the background and then nothing happens. No matter how many time you restart the software, it doesn't seem to work. Doesn't happen every time but it's quite often. Just tried loading the Majestic Q400 tutorial scenario 3 times, all 3 times, OpusFSI stops working. Done it in the last few betas, last I tried I was still running 4.66.1 Start a fresh flight and it works great. Is this a known issue or something on my end? Also, might be on Majestics side, …

Dear: I like system realism specially avionics like autopilot. I use PMDG, Level d sim 767, Simcheck A300, Majestic Dash 8 Q400 Pro, Leonardo Maddog MD 82, Aerosoft Airbus A320, Flight One PC-12 etc. 1. Now I am looking at Captain Sim L1011, I watched some video.. still confused. I would like to know whether the autopilot works in a realistic way. Such as, in IAS hold mode the AP would control pitch of the airplane to maintain a target speed during climb or descent, not thrust. Does any one use Captain sim L1011 and know about its autopilot functions? 2. I am also thinking of Milviz 737-200C or Carenado PC12. Could any one help me to decide which one should I…

I recently installed Windows 10 (an upgrade from Win7), and I'm running into an issue where FSX will not actually start a flight unless I have the "Dx10 preview" option selected. If I don't have that option checked, FSX boots fine, but as soon as it finishes loading a flight, I get a black screen with the Windows "processing" circle, and nothing happens from there until I restart my PC. I've updated my video drivers (a GTX 660Ti), tried downloading uiautomationcore.dll and putting that into the FSX folder, running FSX in Win Vista 7, and 8 compatibility modes, and am running FSX as the administrator, but it stubbornly refuses to start a flight running in DX9 mode. …

Hello! I am starting to get my pre-teen boys into FSX. In order to keep things simple I figured I would find a good paved runway on cardinal compass points. After hours of searching, I thought I'd ask around. Does anyone know of a paved, short (1500 - 2000') runway that's on flat land and fairly remote? ​Thanks :-D

Is the Posky archive down? I search it up and the website doesn't exist anymore. Did they all of a sudden just decide to close it down or is it just my internet service provider?

Hi - I have EZdok installed with the ERJ-145 aircraft operating in VC mode. All is working fine with switching camera, viewing using the hat switch, and moving the viewpoint. But, there is no way to rotate cockpit knobs in VC mode for the aircraft because the controls are turned using the middle mouse button (roll forward or backward to rotate a knob). I can push buttons but when I roll MM button to rotate a knob, the EZdok camera zooms. I've tried clicking disable MM button in EZdok but there is no change. Does anyone have a workaround? Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hello Guys, I would like to know how is it possible to remove generic buildings in a city, I've searched how to do this in different pages and forums and still haven't been able to do this. Here is an image of what I would like to make disappear, from what I've seen, those buildings look the same in cities like Nashville, Oklahoma City, Louisville: By the way, I'm new in the forums, so apologize me if I did something wrong while posting here.

title says it all....just started recently... I can think of three things to do : 1. reset fsuipc.ini 2. reset fsx.cfg 3. reinstall mouse software ( I run Logitech SetPoint control center) Any other suggestions folks ? Thanks

Man these are such crap models...the "210's engines arent even realistic. vcol just put -500 engines on the 210 model.. the wings' dihedral angle are too low.. you cant use different soundpacks because that wasnt done correctly either.. Engine RPM not even modeled..even freeware ISDT has a little engine RPM modeled in.. Seriously, seeing Razbam have failed to commit to its ATR project..I dont see what's stopping Majestic from producing an absolute beast of an ATR family for FSX/P3D.. Just get the ISDT model instead..its much better..Hell If you can get the OSP AI model and make it flyable..Even that's better than this complete crap.

I keep getting a message that says MSFSX can not run during a Remote Desktop session. I do not use remote desktop sessions! How do I eliminate this problem from my FSX Gold edition with Acceleration on a Windows 10 set up???

Can someone kindly clue me up how to add the latest AIRAC Cycle 1608 to the AivlaSoft EFB as despite pointing to the correct path where AivlaSoft is, it is still showing an AIRAC Cycle 1310 on the bottom right. All the other aircraft add-ons are updated automatically via the FMS Data Manager Thanks.

Hello Pilots I have recently been flying in FSX, so I decide to do what my friend say, install GSX, so I did that. As a part they say open exit 3, but when I do SHIFT+E+3 it opens me the main exit if I do SHIFT+E+2 it closes, it means that every numeric number is only assign to one door, the MAIN EXIT. I already deleted the Santandar.xml and I FSX Created a New Controll Assign but it seems that FSX always load the same assign I did my own before Can somebody help me? Thanks

I have been building my new fsx since coming to Steam and was hoping some one would recommend a traffic add on that will not cause those ugly default bleed through in my add on airports. I don't want to reinstall My Traffic Profesional because it seems to be the primary offender and is not very user friendly to get up and running. Has any one had better luck with FSX with any other traffic program that does not mess up your scenery? All advice appreciated.

Hey there, first post with a new account. Couldn't get in to my old one. First off I hope this is the appropriate place. I installed EZDok about a year ago and kept putting off actually setting it up correctly since then. Yesterday after seeing yet another video showcasing the head movement effects I decided it was time to bite the bullet and get stuck into those setup videos. Everything is setup correctly and working as intended. The way I fly is with keyboard, mouse and an XBOX controller. Hi! There's a freeware Euro Atlantic 777 by POSKY and ricardo_tv I downloaded a while ago, and I noticed how amazing the landing lights/taxi lights are. I mean, they look like they belong on a payware aircraft! Is there someway I can use this lighting for other aircraft as well? The default ones on some planes look awful, and are a bit dark. If that's not possible, is there a way to brighten the default lights at least? Thanks ~topgearuk98

I have noticed in the past few weeks that a particularly large number of new airport sceneries have appeared on Simmarket for FSX. Most of these are for American airports, many of which have not been available as addon scenery for FSX previously, but most appear to be from new developers like FSXcenery who suddenly seem to be springing onto the scene and producing new products at a pretty fast rate! The screenshots for these suggest products of variable quality with some airports looking quite mediocre and not particularly good value for the asking price. I would be quite keen to add some of these US regional airports and, in the past, I might have been tempted to give on…
