I recall the shift+F5 displayed chocks/flags/pins for the Carenado King Air 200 and C90 with engines off....is that function available for the new i350? Thanks in advance RP

Hi, I installed the Dash 8 on my new P3D Setup. I noticed that the Wing Views of the Aircraft come with the whole cabin. Is there any way to remove the cabin in order to see only the Wing/Engine without the cabin windows? I have installed the latest patch. Thanks in advance

Hello There seems to be a huge volume of correspondence dealing with what one should do if one's FSX installation suddenly goes on strike. None of it, however, seems to be pertinent to a vanilla install that simply refuses to write the cfg file. I clean out my system with Revo pro, make sure all the FSX files are gone, reboot, say a quick prayer and install direct to c:|FSX. After install, try to start. Goes as far as the flash screen...... Performance graph proves that it is doing nothing, yet the icon is up on the taskbar and Task Manager affirms that FSX is running....... Any ideas. I'm just trying to mess around with the traffic SDK to make some custom files for fun, and I can't figure out where I'm going wrong. I have created airport and aircraft files, and made a batch file with the command line from the SDK pointing towards the files, but when trying to run it, it appears a box opens but immediately closes so I am unable to see if it says anything. Could someone help me out please and point me in the right direction

I've installed the Photo Real KLAX V3, and its mighty impressive as its freeware. Although the airport itself is nice, ai traffic (and me) are always directed to land on 7L, 7R, 6L, 6R, and this rarely ever happens at LAX. This has happened before I installed WOAI, and the scenery, so this is normal throughout FSX. Do I need to change the wind direction?

Hi fellow simmers and FSX gurus, I recently upgraded to Windows 10 Pro from Windows 8.1 Pro. The upgrade went smoothly, except for few glitches relating to regenerating XML.dll and FSX.cfg files (thanks to the inputs I got here and other forums). FSX is up and running with all my add-ons (ORBX, REX, Aircrafts, EZDOK, etc.). I only had to reinstall nvidiainspector and fsrecorder. So happy with the smooth upgrade process. However, I notice that the FSX performance (in terms of FPS) degrades with time in each session of FSX. For example, I start out with 18-20 FPS at KSEA and after 5-8 minutes or so the FPS drops to as low as 1-3 FPS when I am flying the PA23 Alebo A…

Hi do you have to run fsx at the same resolution as the desktop, my desktop is 1920x1080 but want to try running fsx at a lower resolution to see if this will improve performance I would like to keep running my monitor at its native resolution. Thank you jim

Are there common times where parked airport traffic is most prolific? If so, what times are they and do these times universal apply in all time zones at all airports?

I recently downloaded an allegedly complete IL-76 updated for FSX, but the instrument panel was full of blanks. When examining the panel.cfg, there were gauges listed in non-existent directories (non-existent for me anyway, probably not the uploader!) - they weren't supplied with the aircraft. I'm currently using an instrument panel for a Comet! Well, at least it has 4 engines and the main instruments are surrounded by a white outline, much the same as the Candid Can I post links to the files? Ctrl-Shift-A is suppose to select ADF but then what? Using keyboard how do you change the frequency? Least I assume one gets to change frequency. Same for Nav. N is key to select it but I'll be darn if I can figure out how to change it with any key afterwards? Perhaps nothing is changing due to the Ezdok addon and re-distribution of key functions?

When I lower flaps 2 on approach in the amphib for a water landing I am getting a horn sound. If i lower the float landing gear, the sound goes away. Is there a fix for this?

Hello!) fellow community! Its time for me to get myself another simulator, and what I initially thought was getting p3d. It seemed like the proper choice to make.... but after seeing how good the x-plane iS, I am kinda puzzled as to which simulator to buy. I mainly use GA aircraft and would appreciate the actual aircraft modeling + nicer graphics above everything else. Well; can you guys give me some input as to why x-plane is better than p3d, and just compare the strengths of those two. cheers

I have downloaded two payware WWII aircraft recently but neither comes with GPS. I have tried, unsuccessfully, to install EZ-GPS in them but it is just not recognised. Has anyone come across this problem and do they have a solution? I know that GPS is only a recent innovation in the real world but it is difficult to fly classic aircraft without it.

Has anyone been able to integrate either the Weather Radar by Roland or the Milviz/REX system into the Real Air Duke v2 (piston ) VC ? If so, could you please post your panel.cfg? Thanks / Les Parson

I have successfully installed the Flight 1 ATR in the FSX SE environment. There is a little delay when loading, and sometimes the sound cuts out or gets a little choppy for a brief moment, but other than that it works EXCEPT when you end the flight or try to exit FSX SE Alt F4. It seems to hang FSX SE at that point. The sound will get choppy and then FSX SE goes out to never-never land. Anyone have any ideas on a fix to this? I know this A/C isn't supposed to be compatible, but it does seem to work except for this issue Thanks!

Hi, simmers! Such an unusual request? Here's why. I really like to fly using photo scenery because I am a senior/age pilot and can't afford to fly for real. So I have quite a few countries and states and this is my holiday using FSX. No checked baggage problems. lol I don't take off or land, just explore. Every so often an airport runway-fsx style shows up and spoils the realism. I would rather see the airport from the photo. So, my tweaking friends, is there a dir or file that I can rename or remove sometimes to stop all airports from showing up. I've searched and can't find it but there must be some way. Like in scenery..cfg just turn off a dir would be great…
