I picked up OpusFSI yesterday after having using OpusFSX for years. I had been using static weather that had been caught in saved flights but it was time for something new. and Ill say plainly - GOOD JOB! I honestly don't see much difference in the two products (for what I know how to use) but I have always preferred Opus because you guys just know how to lay clouds out so they look realistic. Don't ever change. You're the best. I intend to attempt to learn how to make use of the other features (like camera positioning and control) but its good to have the dynamic head movement back. I'd been so long without it that I forgot what a nice touch it was. anyway…

After losing the MapQuest some weeks ago (http://www.avsim.com/topic/493483-plan-g-not-working-with-mapquest/?hl=%2Bplan%26amp%3B%238208g#entry3469922), we now face another trouble, at least in Europe: In UK OpenStreetMaps don´t work anymore, in the US it still works. Is there anyway to turn the volume up internally for the flight attendant announcements? I can barley hear those and the ground crew.?

Can anyone post the fsx.cfg line (and associated section) for the "batch autogen2" DirectX 10 tweak, pretty please? I've googled high and low, but just found references without the line itself. I foolishly allowed FSX-SE to install to C:\ on my recent new system - that 250GB SSD became almost full (92%) so I have created a link (cmd menu in W10) and transferred ALL the FSX contents to a 1TB drive D:\. Everything is working 100% - except for UT2 On the FSX-SE startup screen I am not presented with the "Ultimate Traffic initialised" sound file and a permissions request. Hello All, I am encountering issues with FSX-SE and PMDG textures. More specifically the black bars on the wings are super jagged but the rest of the textures are fine. I have followed Nick's guide to NI configuration. the rest of the FSX world looks amazing except the wing lectures, also when the aircraft is viewed from a tower view, I seem to have texture flashing for some airport textures as well. Antialiasing - Setting has been set to all settings including 16x Antialiasing - Transparency Supersampling = 4x Any other suggestions? Hello. I have problem with autothrottle. Maybe it's stupid mistake i'm making but I can't solve it. After taking off I engage AP and A/T and I can't set specific speed. Display shows CLMP and I can't control speed by A/T, only manually. What to do to solve this? also I can't get Vspeed from FMC. I set weights, altitudes, route and other things but nothing.

Hi, After doing some mesh work for Xplane 10 , I went ahead and made one for FS9 / FSX which is a LOD11 (don't know what that means). The same mesh works in both FS9 / FSX. This is the area I have done Dehradun / Kathmandu to Mt. Everest. I have the forests / roads and railway for the whole of India. The coastline is pretty correct. Still some work to do. Not yet tested Kathmandu / Mt. Everest. still some things Like Bridges over sea / water are to be done. The mesh looks very nice. Using 2011 ASRTER DEM. SRTM 2014 has some problems. After upgrading my laptop to Win10 and a SSD, I decided to give FSX-SE another try, applying NickN's Bible from the start (FSX-MS is not an option, since I removed the DVD drive). However, when I tried installing Real Trim (https://github.com/nmeier/fscode/wiki/Realtrim), I find it's not available in the Add-ons menu. FSUIPC shows no issue at all. Has anybody been able to run Real Trim in Windows 10 and FSX-SE? For reference, Steam is installed in C:\Steam, where C:\ is the SSD.

I've got the latest version of OPUS 4.66.5. Everything seems to work okay but if I try to use the Live Weather Locator map it shows 0 Met Stns. I've Rebuilt the Station Data in the Configure dialog window but still no Met Stns being reported or shown on the Locator map. The Wx Map and the LWA Map show the Met Stns fine. How can I fix this problem.

I think JF is playing hard and fast with their descriptions "NEW FSX/P3D AIRCRAFT FROM LIONHEART CREATIONS Lionheart Creations' Classic LJ24B" I'm going to assume it's now compatible with P3D, that's new, not the Lear release in 2014 for FSX. Or am I missing something.

I have been looking everywhere for a sharklet model for the PA A321 with a FSX .mdl, not a FS2004 .mdl Reason is because I have a VC merged with the PA A321 with a FSX .mdl but it has no sharklets.

So FSX has decided to throw me yet another curveball. On every 2d panel on every aircraft that I have there is some distortion going on, here's a pic to show what I'm talking about:It's almost a line going through the panel. This happens with the main 2d panel and any pop-ups as well. I'm using XP with an E6600 and an ATI 4870.

I know there are some tweaks out there for FSX, and most of them deal with frame rate, but I'm having trouble with everything loading... sometimes things freeze... sometimes the VC doesn't load all the way, or the exterior of the planes just the windows load... and then sometimes I get a black screen and have to shut down completely. So I'm running several things at once... and maybe my computer just can't keep up. Here's what I have going on... FSX, REX Essential Plus Overdrive, Orbyx Socal scenery, Pilotedge ATC and then Flightsim GPS for ForeFlight on the ipad. I'm flying Carenado/Alabeo planes, GTN 750/RXP GNS 530. Hello, I have been having a problem with my FSX lately, i loaded in flight sim and all the terrain textures were really blurry, even looking straight down from outside view it is still very blurry, I did a clean install of windows 2 times, tried FSX without any of my addons but no luck what so ever, I had tweaked my FSX before and it was working great and i tweaked it again and i set every setting same as last time, I even tried setting FSX scenery settings all the way to max even through FSX.cfg but that made it worse. I have been using the FSX steam software for about one year now without any major problems. In particular, some freeware add on scenery of my local airport worked fine. Recently however I was persuaded by someone to experiment with the setting for realism, scenery etc. I fear that in doing this I may have corrupted something because I can no longer get the add on scenery. Instead, the default FSX airport scenery is loaded. I keep getting a message "SCENERY.CFG file error. Local scenery directory (Add on Scenery/SCENERY) in scenery Area.120 not found. Hello, I noticed something rather unusual in my default scenery, I noticed some strange speckled textures. Does anyone else have this issue? I was flying around KPBH/KHYR. Hi i just baught Rex 4 texture direct, unfortunatly i cant seem to install it. i have looked at guides on how to install it and still no luck. most guides and videos show the folder that is downloaded when rex is purchased is full with numerous files, However the one I downloaded (From the REX store its self) only has "rexfileinstaller_20160815" and "rexinstaller" I'm not sure what is the problem and im hoping that i am not missing any important files. HI, I decided to buy aerosofts A321/A320 and A319/a318 when they were on sale the other day. I have never flown an Airbus in flight sim so i knew i would have a few problem and would need to learn how to properly opperate the aircraft but i havent managed to even leave the ground yet as on takeoff the aircraft will pitch back but not lift off the ground. Other information: when the automated checklist requires the Elevator trim to be set no trim setting seems to work (which leads me to believe this could be the problem) also I have been following a guide on how to set up the aircraft so i can try and learn for myself but even following this guide seems to resul…
