on approach how do I know when is the correct time to lower flaps and landing gear?

Hi, I have been flying the PMDG aircraft with functional FMC (SID-Enroute_STAR). I also have Aivlasoft EFB for route generation, which lets me generate flight plans in PMDG .rte or FSX .pln format. Now I read that FSX does not accept SID's or STAR's in the route plans. I tried to save a file generated in EFB and saved as a .pln file with SID and STAR, but once I loaded the route in the aircraft, the SID and STAR were gone. Is it possible to modify a FSX .pln file to add the SID and STAR manually, so it can be uploaded into the aircraft. Or is there another way to enter the SID and STAR into a non-programmable FMC? For the last two days I've been unable to access simroutes. The message says the server is unavailable. Is it just me?

I tried a forum search for this topic but found nothing newer than 2007 and none that answered my question. When using ADE to edit airports it is necessary to change the xml file to bgl. This requires SDK which came as part of FSX and does not seem to be available without. FSX-SE has an SDK file but is missing the files "shp2vec" and BGLComp.XSD. Have these files become available elsewhere for download? I only have FSX-SE installed. Lou

Good job PFPX and FSLabs. I planned a flight pulled the plan from Flightaware, and listened to the HF position report on a LiveATC.net feed en route. Used the PFPX aircraft profile provided by FSL. The fuel I had on board was close to identical to what the pilots reported of the real aircraft over HF. As real as it gets!

I have been flying the QW757 for some time. Just recently things have changed because I now get a function tag/label displaying when I hover the cursor over a cockpit instrument. Can some one point me in the right direction on how to switch these tags off. I am not sure whether they are an MS Flightsim thing or a QW thing, I just want them gone. Thanks in anticipation.

Just released ; I like most Just Flight products but not this. My initial impression of the graphics here leaves me bitterly disappointed. Look harder than I did before buying. Too early to make a judgement on other aspects of the model but hopefully it will redeem itself with the passage of time

Hi, Anyone use the FSND Citation X? I installed this aircraft as I use the FSND MD83. I only fly VC and can't find any way to adjust course or heading in the Citation VC, although it has a 2D panel with adjustments there. If anyone who has flown the Citation can help I'd be grateful. I've heard numerous problems with payware Citations. If anyone can recommend one I'd appreciate that too. Cheers, Jim

Hi guys have had FSX-SE a couple of months, and had set up Traffic Toolbox from within the SDK folder but today its disappeared from the options on the bar at the top of the screen!! Ive tried a few things that i found by googling it, but nothings worked so far, and now im completely lost! Could somebody please show what the original dll/XML file should say as im sure ive changed that by mistake!!!! Hope that makes sense, and many thanks if poss jon

So what I would like to know is how to use the bulit in flight planner, GPS and the boeing 737 and fly sids and stars using the default Atc in FSX. I know that FSX doesn't support sids and stars but is there any best way to do this just with default flight planner and GPS. I DO NOT want to buy any addons for FSX, but is there any way to use the default flight planner and have a flight plan with fsx atc and fly sids and stars? Thank you so much!

Are there any AVSIM simmers who have the Lionheart Trinidad TB21? Can you please post your opinions. I'm interested in buying and adding the RXP GNS 430 & 530. Looks like a nice alternative to the JF version and it's currently priced right. :smile: TKS

It is clearly indicated that your Trinidad is not DX 10 compatible, however, since many clients will have bought it regardless and would appreciate running it with Steve DX10 Fixer that works with most FSX add-ons, Steve on his AVSIM forum offers to try fixing the windshield problem, would you care getting in touch with him please? I posted this in the EZDOK support forum yesterday and go no interest. I have a feeling EZDOK is dead! There are a lot of unanswered questions in the support forum. Actually it seems that most are unanswered and the ones that are, are being replied to by the community. I hope that someone from IRIS Simulations catches this. I purchased the IRIS Diamond Star 5 days ago and attempted to download it onto my FSX. There is a problem with the download that I recieved, which is no big deal, I know this happens sometimes. The problem is, I paid $30 for this thing and have made repeated, very respectful, request via their "support tickets" to ask for a clean download, only to by ignored. Is there a way to tell from the external views how many feet I can go back then left or right before hitting the terminal?

I'm trying to find out if there is a duplicate for the airport VABB(Bombay) but am not sure where to look for it. Tried to install a VABB scenery but when I go to it, seems like there is a double layer as I see the default scenery underneath. Any suggestions welcome.

I'm searching for a accusim warplane that has soul, not extra complicated to manage, and feels most natural and "alive" aka breathing machine. I'm somehow closest to purchasing Civilian Mustang, but I like more the looks of P-47 Razorback. Thanks folks!
