Chaps, Got the SF260 from RealAir, its beautiful. But when trying to activate to 2D panel with their config editor, it does not show in game. Anyone have any ideas? Regards

I have a brand new Windows 10 install with FSX-SE installed. When ever I try to install a new aircraft I get an "error opening file for writing" error and it refers to a file in steamapps\common\fsx\effects\fx_carldnc177.fx If I click ignore I get an error on another file relating to the aircraft. It doesn't appear to matter which aircraft I try to install. I am signed on as Administrator and have gone into User Account Control and moved the slider to the bottom and am running FSX-SE as Administrator and am running the aircraft install program as Administrator. If anyone has any ideas I would appreciate the help. Randy

Hi all, I recently downloaded Editvoicepack X for use when I'm not on VATSIM. I know EVPX isn't supported any more but I thought I might get some help here. It's a great program and I'm mostly happy with how the ICAO phrasing options work -- I use this as I fly a lot in Australia. One thing that bugs me though is that now it refers to ATC Centers as 'Control' -- I.e. Melbourne Control, instead of the correct 'Melbourne Center'. I know this is correct in Europe, but in Australia it seems we have a hybrid of ICAO and FAA and we use mostly ICAO phrases with some smatterings of the American stuff. Hello Has anyone experienced this and could you advise please. My FSX Acc system has been fine for 4 years, but suddenly I'm finding that when I load any aircraft at any airport it loads partially submerged below the scenery. This is not specific to any brand of airport addon scenery. They all were fine but now all behave the same. This doesn't apply though if i load a saved flight. Also, recently purchased Aerosoft scenery, MalagaX & ValenciaX for example now has floating buildings. Any ideas please? Thanks in anticipation Andrew

Hi, I have just installed Citation X 2.0. I am running Win7 64bit and FSX-SE. The engines are running, avionics switch is on, plane is in hot config but all MFD's and PFD's are blank. All 5 screens. Has this been a problem for anyone else? Thank you for your help, Bart

Running a new install of Win7 x64 and FSXSE. Never really happy with default Saitek drivers.

As the title says, whats the best regional jet currently out for FSX. Dosent matter the type, CRJ, ERJ, etc... just that its smartly done and worth the money.

I am contemplating upgrade my I7 5960X to 6950X, I would like to hear from owners of this CPU that are using FSX-SE as their sim, what they think and what you had prior to it? Would be even better if you had the 5960X.

Good Evening chaps. Got an odd one here. I've recently bought a payware A/C - Alabeo DA-42 Twin Star. Version 2 seems to have sorted everything out with this excellent little twin except below. I'm really pleased with it and everything is pretty well modelled and as for it's looks, well! Amazing. There's one glitch with it that I'm finding truly annoying and it is this; In level flight the Garmin G1000 is showing about 3 degrees nose down pitch. Wings are level and the standby Attitude Indicator is reading correct. Please see pics (You can see we're at 6000 ft at cruise speed of 134 KIAS - in other words - level flight). I'm using the wonderful Cera Sim Bell 222B and was told there was a FDE upgrade made by a 'Jordan Moore' - The link on the site seems to be down and I can't find it on avsim either. Hi..a new guy to this forum here and I need your help. I purchased a custom built system which is decently fast and now have to reload all of my addons which is extensive. My problem started when I started to download the first few of my downloads. I have FSX gold edition which includes acceleration on a separate dvd. I uninstalled FSX because of the addon problem and decided to do a new clean install of FSX. I downloaded FSX again and it asked for the product key which I input it. FSX loaded fine. Then I installed the acceleration disk and it did not ask for the product key this time and subsequently downloaded just the trial version which stops after 30 minutes. It didn…

Tried installing the majestic q400 in steam and the folders were all screwed up and had the regular fsx folder inside the steam fsx folder. It had the selection at the beginning for steam edition then came up with something about no authorization but began installing it all screwed up anyway. Anybody able to shine any light on this?

Hello, I use Opus FSI mainly for the camera options (sometimes I use the weather too), but when I load a new aircraft, I have to select the camera settings that I have for it manually. Are the camera settings supposed to load with the aircraft? If they are, I must have something set wrong. Thank you, Bob

Hi, I have recently returned to using Opus as i have finally managed to upgrade my PC. At the moment whenever i open and start the Opus Server, FSX crashes. I have moved over to using FSX: SE and i am wondering whether this is the cause of the issue. I am using Opus FSX Version 3.55.1. I am guessing this is incompatible with FSX: SE. Could this be confirmed before i go ahead and upgrade. I do not mind upgrading but just want some clarification before i i go ahead. Regards

I'm quite likely to move to P3D this autumn. I have loads of 3rd party software installed and not enough space on my dedicated SSD to hold P3D as well as FSX:SP2. Logically it makes sense to uninstall all 3rd party stuff and then uninstall FSX:SP2. Then install P3D followed by all that scenery again. Long-winded but safe. Or is there a better way? I did think of buying a larger SSD and cloning my FS SSD onto it. That way I could install P3D without having to first uninstall FSX. But could I copy/paste suitable entries from my existing scenery.cfg in P3D's and potentially save myself a huge install job? With suitable editing of dll.xml and exe.xml most of my ut…

Hi All, I have recently noticed that whenever I point my cursor at an instrument I get a descriptive flag appear near the cursor. I have obviously done something to switch this behaviour on but I have no clue what that was. Can anyone tell me how to turn these instrument descriptions off, please.

Hey everyone, I downloaded Project Opensky's Korean Air 747-8i and completed a flight to Seoul/Incheon Intl. and as I often do, after landing and taxing onto the runway exit I watched the landing in instant replay from the external locked spot view mode, it was only then that I noticed a bizarre smoke trail from underneath the tail-end of the fuselage and also that my auto-spoilers had failed to deploy, because the landing went fine (although I did notice that it seemed to take a while to slow down to a suitable taxi velocity), I did not suspect anything of real concern whilst I was in virtual cockpit view.
