I have tried several zoom levels setting up the pilot/co-pilot view but they always seem too close to the panel. If the pilot view right and is properly aligned with the right seat then he is almost touching the panel. Setting a "proper" panel view puts the pilot too far aft. I have flown several of these planes as a pilot and know that I have not got the correct pilot-to-panel distance. Monitor is a 35" Vizeo widescreen TV and fsx.cfg is set to widescreen and OPUS is the only viewing system I use (no TrackIR).. Any help appreciated Regards to all Neal Howard

This is a strange one. After messing around trying to get AS16 installed properly...suddenly, when starting FSX, I get a "product activation error ERROR CODE: 8-c0000006" which apparently indicates a problem with either FSX or Acceleration. Following advice from another AVSIM forum I started to uninstall Acceleration. I'm not sure if it uninstalled or not. So... I thought I would just re-install Acceleration. Put in my disk (bought and paid for!) but it wasn't recognized by the CD drive. Possible that the disk is damaged. I'm an old retired guy and FS is the only thing that keeps me from going nuts. Would appreciate any help from my FS brothers and sisters. …

Hi all- I emailed Lionheart support about this in addition to posring in the Lear24B forum here. No response from either so here we go. After setting ALT, VS and HDG, I'll engage the AP (after establishing the VS manually), it will go almost vertical regardless of VS setting. Not sure what I'm going wrong except for a procedure I might not be aware of. I couldn't find anything in the docs regarding this. The ONLY way I've gotten this to work correctly is to Engage > Hdg > Alt (500fpm) prior to takeoff where adjustments to the VS wheel on climb operate correctly. I am interested in purchasing the Airbus X Extended package, but I would like to know one or two things about it from current users...... 1. I have watched several YouTube videos, and they have included audible pilot and copilot checklists and other stuff. Can these be disabled? 2. Are the included engine sounds realistic? What I mean by this is.....are they as good as the TSS engine sound packs? I already have the TSS sound package for the CFM56 engines (used with the Project Airbus A318), so I am set to go if these are a lot better. 3. Hi. i have been using UT2 for a long time, and been happy/not happy sometimes its stop working som i can not get in the menu, and i tired of it. Also the facts that it has not been updatet since 2013.The fps is not good with UT2 even that i have a highend pc, i am thinking about getting my traffic 6 have anyone here that and what do you think about it, and how is fps compared to UT2.Thanks for any help.

So I recently installed FlyTampa's KBOS scenery, and looking around, it is great. There's one problem though: My aircraft is sunken into the ground. There's no better way of explaining it. When I fire up FSX I get a pop up that reads; Scenery CFG file error. Local Scenery Directory . ( Orbx \ FTX Vector \ Scenery ) Area 166 not found. How can that be fixed? Thanks

After careful consideration, I've decided that the best thing for me right now is to transfer to regular FSX, as some of my addons are not currently compatible with FSX: SE. It's also going to make texture installation a lot easier (SE and the REX Texture Direct series have had a few compatibility issues with me in the past). I've bought FSX Gold edition and installed it. My question now would be how would I transfer my FSX Steam files/config files/addon sceneries/CFG files to the fresh copy of FSX? Thanks, Fredric

I am wondering if it is possible to use my PC and laptop together in fsx. For instance I am using pro atc x and there is a moving map. I would like to keep flying in fsx but beven able to watch on the laptop. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I didn't know where to put this, sorry.

So, for the past two weeks or so, when I launch FSX SE the home page that first displays has been blank, which I thought was odd because it always has worked fine. Well, today I went to do a mission and the mission briefings will not display. When I click "go to briefing", the "fly" button appears at the bottom and I can click it, but the mission select screen is still displayed. Finally, the learning center page is just like the home page where I see nothing but white. Has this happened to anyone else and is there any way to fix it besides reinstalling?

I have since uninstalled Avast and is unable to undo what was done, if it in fact caused the problem. Its the only problem I have so far in FSX and don't know how to resolve it. Perhaps someone here with knowledge knows which file is missing and how to replace it. I'm running FSX Accelerator on Win7 64. At this point I rather not reinstall since its the only issue I'm having. FSX functions just fine. Thanks in advance.

Hi.. Just went thru the issue with installing powerpack for UT2. Disclaimer: Thsi will only work if you opted to backup your data base when installing powerpack. Precautions: 1. Make sure you download the proper Powerpack Version for you UT2 Schedule (There are two different downloads, read the download page thoroughly) 2. When installing, Make sure you opt to backup your original or latest UT2 Database files.. There are three.. Powerpack will do that if you opt to. 3. So lately I've been experiencing issues with my PMDG aircraft at start-up and landing. Every time I pushback and start-up my engines I have been idling around 26%-28% N1 which causes me to brake a lot during taxi. Also, this issue affects my landing performance because the engines idle so high the reversers stow immediately after being applied. I think there's an issue with my Saitek X52 throttle quadrant because I have to apply extreme pressure to bring the N1 back down to around 25.2% (usually my engines idle around 22% to 24% N1). Is there any fix besides investing in another throttle quadrant?

Hello everyone, could someone tell me which files are responsible for the ATC "center" stations? It seems something broke in my FSX as they are gone. When I am climbing in any airliner while and IFR flightplan is loaded, the ATC window only says "no messages to transit" and the only option is the "nearest airport list". When I am in range of an airport, the tower and ground controls work fine.

Hi there, i was trying ezdok for the first time and it has messed up my hat switch configuration on my joysticks. The shaky effects on landing, takeoff, flying, turbulence and ground roll are very cool though. I was wondering if there is way of installing this ezdok effects without all the binding and crap. I d ont need EZDOKS main purpose which i guess is camera placement since i have a multimonitor setup with 6 screens. I just need the shaking effects

The VC panel is different than when I select View->Instrument Panel. In other words, when I select instrument panel, the batteries are on and the engines running, yet when I switch to VC the engines are batteries and engines are off. Does this make sense? Has this issue been encountered before? Thanks much for any info!

I have had Win XP Pro 64bit on an i7-975 CPU for a number of years with no sound problems at all. I recently upgraded as follows (and love the performance!): 1. ASUS P8Z68 Deluxe/GEN3 Motherboard 2. Intel i7 2700K CPU 3. Mushkin 997057 (4Gx2) Memory 4. GTX580 Video Card 5. Corsair CWCH80 Water Cooling 6. Win 7 64 Bit My problem is that in FSX my aircraft sound has a mind of its own and varies all over the place. I don't know what to do. I have reformated and reinstalled win10 and when trying again to install the FSX Gold Edition (acceleration), at the end of DVD2 I get the error 1603 and the explanation that somthing is wrong with the WINDOWS installer. Win10 contains the ver. 5 and the WIN XP is using the ver.4.5. Could I have a too old ver. of FSX dvds? I never had any problems of this kind when I used WIN XP. I could use win7 for some year before it started to give trouble. Anyone understand this?? Should I buy a new FSX? I consider myself to be in the loop in regards to what's being developed for FSX in terms of airports and sceneries, but of course I could have missed something. Has any developer announced that they are making KCMH (Port Columbus in Columbus, Ohio) for FSX/P3D? I know that mid-size US airports don't tend to get a lot of love by developers, but ImagineSim came out with the similarly sized KAUS last year, so in my mind KCMH isn't outside of the realm of possibility.
