I've recently been able to add a peice of freeware scenery to FSX to add the new airport on the island of St.Helena in to the game. I have a large interest in this airport and its development however I have no way of flying in to or out of St.Helena in the PMDG 737NGX. I decided to try add the airport in to the NAVDATA folder however i was confused as to how to add the airport in without causing problems to the data Eg. listing the airport in the wrong place in the sequence. Hello, we are glad to announce that our long-dated project "Antonov An-24RV" is getting really close to the release. If you know already our An-24B, An-26 and An-30, you'll notice only few changes in the exterior visual model : the right engine nacelle contains now a little complementary jet engine (this is the main difference between An-24RV and An-24B), the rear cargo door can be opened, the nose opens too (in maintenance mode) and glass cleaners are functional. I have installed FSX in a new Lenovo Y900 computer. The computer has two hard drives. I installed the program on the smaller faster drive. I am happy to report it is performing great. However I have to say reaching tec. service at Lenovo is hard to do. Thankfully I finally got them through their sales and got my questions answered. I have had Dell, HP and Lenovo. Good stuff, however the support is all the same. None are the greatest in that regard.

Hallo, I think I did a really stupid thing after having changed from win7 to win10. I just deleted the FSX folder because I had some trouble uninstalling the add-ons. The program had problems finding the files. When trying to reinstall FSX from the DVDs I could only choose "repair" but everything seemed ok until the program was almost at the end. The last file was "FSX\Licenses\client-issuance-ppd.xrm-ms. Then it seemed to come into a loop. When clicking on it a small windows appeared asking to "insert the disk". but that wouldn't help. I am moving over from Xplane to FSX and trying to get it setup correctly. My biggest problem right now is that I am having difficulty with runways, taxiways and ramps not looking good at night. It is very difficult to tell the difference between the ground and taxiways/ramps as you can see by the images below. I am running FSX SE with REX4 on a very high end hardware set to pretty extreme on almost everything.. The images below are from SFO 28R. Any suggestions on what I can do to improve the night time views?

After long hours of testing I found the reason why taxi/landing lights on my NGX are dimmed - it is Rex 4 hd runway textures. What is funny - in Rex essentials + od everything is okay when I am using essentials rwy textures. So what is actually going on here? Is there any way to fix it? Rex 4 rwy looks better but I cannot see anything during taxiing.

I just installed Windows 10 on my computer. After I tried to install FSX with my FSX Flight Simulator Deluxe cd. The package says Flight Simulator X Deluxe Win 32 Installing failed and I wonder if it is due to the Win32 Thanks Hubert Werni

Good evening, I'm currently slowly moving over from FS9 to FSX (with a few problems on the way lol) and have recently bought Ultimate Traffic 2 for FSX to use until I get my AIG flightplans all updated and installed. Whilst using UT2, I have started to install some of the latest AIG flightpans into FSX and so have unticked those airlines in UT2 so I don't have duplicates. Today I installed AIG British Airways Winter 2015/2016 flighplans and the repaints using AIFP2, and therefore unticked BA in UT2. When I went into FSX and loaded up Heathrow to check the repaints were all ok, I noticed that there were no BA aircraft anywhere? I've checked the World/Scener…

Ok so I am flying in a KAL PMDG 777-300er from KJFK to RKSI and I loaded a flight plan from flightplanner.org into both the FMC and FSX flight planner. Whenever I ask the ATC to increase or decrease my cruise altitude, the options go blank and I can't respond or do anything on the interface. I have never had this problem before with PMDG and other aircraft and I dont know whats causing it. It was working absolutely fine on my inbound flight. ALSO: I tried creating the fplan inside fsx using the default flight planner and the same thing happened. I can do everything else accept altitude change.

Hey! I just had a question. Does anyone know how I can bump up my FPS because I think my computer does fairly well considering its a 2.5ghz dual intel core with 4gb ram i believe. In a pmdg 737 at fsdt jfk I get about 10 -12 fps sometimes if its like clear weather. Are there any programs to help with it? BTW: Ik 10-20 fps doesn't seem like a lot but trust me it's smoother than you think. only like 1-9 fps looks really bad

I probably should have posted this earlier, but I'm getting so fed up with it that I'm going to post it now. For the past few months, I've been getting absolutely atrocious framerates on FSX:SE on my MSI GP70 2PE Leopard gaming laptop. My average framerate during a flight is 2-8 FPS on takeoff and landing, and 20fps during cruise :mad: . I almost can't even go on VATSIM anymore because I'll almost crash the plane on the approach due to the framerate drop. I've tried reinstalling FSX, tweaking the .CFG file, overclocking, and setting my sceneries down to their bare minimums, but nothing is working. Also, I can play other games on my computer (e.g. Team Fortress 2, Mine…

Hi all, Rather new to simming and this is my first post after just joining the Avsim community (I do apologize if this thread is in the complete wrong place) So recently when I've been flying on FSX:SE I've been ALT + Entering to get into window mode and then check ATIS and Skyvector and other sites on Chrome while flying but as soon as i get into window mode and click on my desktop FSX crashes. I've got some event viewers which I think should help someone hit the nail on the head here and basically any help is appreciated. Hey all, so I was doing a route from RKSI to KJFK and I noticed like 6 or so hours into the flight a Low Fuel QTY message pop up on the EICAS screen. I turned off all fuel pumps and put on the center ones. I dont know if i did that right or whar to do in that situation. The L and R fuel tanks were low, like 1.3 and 0.7 but the center tank had like 82.3 in it so i know there is fuel. What should I do?

I love Flight simming, I really enjoy complex and well designed aircraft for FSX. I have for example the PMDG 777, NGX and the A2A 182 Skylane, amongst others. I would LOVE to have a bizjet in my hangar but....it just seems that those who don't like Carenado, really don't like them and those that do range from ok to happy with their purchases. I am not interested in the Eaglesoft Citation X, its too outdated in its graphics. Do i get the Carenado Hawker knowing its systems are not of the same level as A2A and PMDG and be satisfied with an airplane thats ok in comparison to the others, or do i wait for the next Eaglesoft bizjet to come out? When I change some camera views the auto- pilot will disengage. This happens with different payware aircraft .It's a different camera not always the same camera on different planes.

Hello All, I have used the splendid EZCA a.k.a. EZdok (v.1.1.7.0) for a long time now, and cannot imagine flying in FSX without it. Unfortunately, precisely that seems now to be the prospect. :unsure: So far, never a problem, and EZCA has worked just fine for all aircraft and with all setups I created. Yesterday, I installed a new add-on plane (the Aerosoft DA20 Katana). I then conducted a first short test flight, using EZCA (and even creating a new EZCA profile for this plane), and all still was perfectly OK. So I am on a mac, and need help. I have crossover installed - allows you to play windows games on mac. So I have bought FSX on steam and when I start it up, it gets stuck on the splash screen. When I searched the web, it said something about a logbook, but I have no logbook when I go and look in my files (it came with a explorer). So What to do?
