Is anyone running this heli on FSX. I originally tried the FS2004 version, all the windows are solid, no transparency. Never had this issue converting older aircraft with ModelconverterX. Then I found a newer version, GazelleX, updated for FSX with DDS textures. Same issue, even pre-viewing in ModelconverterX. I'm stumped, would appreciate any input on this.

So.. I have a very weird bug in FSX SE. Whenever I open a new window that pops up on the screen where windowed FSX is displayed (like Windows Explorer), FSX's picture freezes (I can't do anything with the camera etc.) but the simulation continues (I hear the noises) and there is sound! Plus, I can still use my hotkeys for EZDOK and switch views while also hearing the corresponding inside/outside sounds.... What in the name of flightsimming god could be causing this? EDIT: I can still get the Exit To Main Menu and Exit FSX screens but not the top-bar when holding ALT. It's like the simulation's picture just stopped solely.

For all the Steam users...may I ask if you are enjoying STEAM and what PC you have to make it enjoyable? Hi community, Can anybody recommend me some good mesh or landclass scenery for Japan please? I know of most of the payware airports, but I would like the terrain to look good as well. I'm currently using FTX Global if anybody can recommend something compatible please. Many thanks, Andrew.

Apologies if there's a dedicated section on AVSIM for Virtavia, but the sim I use is FSX:SE so halfway there! Having been flying this speed machine for a little while I've noticed a couple of things. When taxiing around, either at max. all up weight or almost empty, the nosewheel doesn't appear to have much grip - too much understeer even when travelling at less that 5kt or so. Some other aircraft appear to have this trait but they're the POSKY ones in my hangar.... No doubt differential braking would help, but I don't have rudder pedals with toe brakes. On approach and touchdown, there doesn't appear to be much rudder authority either. Perhaps this is due to …

Are there any WW2 RAF bases out there I can download and install easily? I have a few WW2 aircraft and want a place to fly them from in the UK, preferably not too close to London, the skyline is visible for miles and not very historical-looking. I did try a couple of freeware airfields, but there were a lot of requests for additional libraries to be downloaded and scenery folders to be created... Don't mind if its payware or freeware.

From what I understand, slow FSX loading times are from a lot of simobject airplanes and addon scenery. Only removing them speeds up loading times, disabling does NOT. There are programs out there that can log Windows boot loading times to find out where the delays most occur. Is there anything similar for FSX? Is such a program possible? A HDD monitor program running in the background perhaps? It would be nice to pinpoint or see where and which files/directories the actual loading delays more so come from.

Hi community, I've been wanting to find an answer to this for ages, but have always forgotten to post....lol. Sometimes, my FSX will restart because of invisible object collisions (usually AI that has not informed of their intended movements). Anyway, when the flight restarts, the sim is very closely zoomed-in, almost in a fish-eye camera style. I hate this because it ruins my screenshots. Is there a way to bypass this awful view? I can't seem to get my hoist to pick up the fishermen in any missions. I have the Seahawk x package. It has auto hover as well but the hoist doesn't go down low enough. Can anybody help. Of course the default helos can pick up the fishermen.

Hello: Is the QW 787 going to have a realistic FMS or a "lite" version similar to their 757? I know there is a lot of excitement about the airplane but I could never get into their 757 because the cockpit realism left a lot to be desired. Thanks.

Hello I was wondering, I am a bit noobie to this game but i still have like a lot of hours. I was wondering, I downloaded some scenary *freeware addons* to some airports and i noticed that my AI default traffic wont park on the jetway? Instead they would always park on ramps. On the other hand, on default airports with no addons they seem to park in the jetway without any problems_ Any help_ Thanks a lot community

Hi Guys i'm having a nightmare using FSX Accelerator Gold Edition with PMDG737NGX Whenever I attempt to make any changes using the dropdown menu to alter e.g. weather/Gate/ or anything really after I have tried this the screen return totally distorted e.g multicoloured or a desert scene or black with distoted cloiuds or total lack of scenery or floating parts of scenery or just aircraft frame, sometimes large sections of the plane have disappeared or there is just cockpit buttons or a shadow and no plane hence the FS experience is destroyed I have recently had a total Initialization performed and I belive my Drivers and Graphic Card are okay now, I am not a computer …

Dear Mike, Hello I downloaded your wonderful Dassualt 2000 aircraft from Simviation and installed in my FSX Acceleration. Upon setting up the aircraft and taking off the aircraft lost speed at 125 kts and then veered off the runway. I never had this happen to before, and I must not have set up the aircraft settings properly. Can you please provide me a brief instruction to setup the Dassualt 200 for proper takeoff and climb out? Has anyone ever noticed that the default 747-400s in FSX have only one sound level? (Loud). Are there any adjustments or add on sound files that are more realistic? Setting all of the sound sliders in FSX to zero does no good when flying the 747. Terry

I have the A319 from Project Airbus, a lovely machine, but the spoilers seem to have virtually zero effect on the plane. I've had a look at the cfg file, but I'm unsure what to tweak. Is there a command in there that will help me? BTW, I haven't looked at the default A321 to compare...

Just decided to download this freeware rendition of a fun aeroplane. However, when trying to horse it around the sky (pun intended! ) It doesn't appear to be as agile as the real thing - to my layman's eye anyway, from watching video footage. Any thoughts please?

Hi All, I've found an anomaly, HOORAY I hear you cry, when I set the weather to grey and rainy in FSX the airport gets closed! every time I've tried to get permission to taxi/take off ATC advise me that the "airfield is closed" I could understand it if I were flying a puddle jumper but this is in a DC9 or a MD80, hardly likely to be affected by a bit of wet weather! Any ideas people, at the moment I cheat and change the weather to fine, get clearance and then change it back before take off! this is ok until I ask for clearance to land when on occasion (not every time oddly) I am again advised that I can't land because "the airfield is closed to all traffic except IFR"…

Hi all, Just wanted to know if anybody knows which line of aircraft.cfg must be tweaked to avoid that annoying effect of airplane being shot into the air when passing from water to land. I am quite sure must be some configuration to be changed, because i.e. I am Flying the Redux Goose and was working perfectly, then I applied the Real Dynamic and started to jump and sometimes even flipping nose down till CRASH. But if I keep using the HP version of the plane where no Dynamic changes were applied, it's still working fine. Gday, I am just doing some late night pondering and looking for a good small business jet. I have a few things that I want from it, I want it to be hands on and somewhat old fashioned (none of this G1000 crap) but I also need it to be quite small as I want to try to bring it into small airstrip on Pilot Edge. I also want it to be as realistic as possible. I have come to the conclusion that the FlightSimWare Learjet 35A is my best option... Am I correct on that or is there a better option that fits my needs? Also I am wondering what weather radar you guys would recommend too as I would want to fully fit it out. I use active sky next but I want a fully functional one…

Why does this happen? The issue will only happen if you have installed FUIPC. If you are in window mode do not use the minimize tab from the FSX window. Instead click the FSX symbol from the lower part of your windows screen in the taskbar area and then it will minimize and maximize with no issues. If it does get stuck and you did not use the method above. Click ALT + ENTER and you will be back in full screen. Then repeat ALT + ENTER and the screen will be very small. Next grab a corner and stretch the screen back out. Start using the method above which makes it simple!
